Location - very close to main connection points for buses, boat cruises, in the city center View - we luckily got a room with a view to the harbour and the iconic Bryggen, which was really amazing. Staff - super friendly and nice personnel Quiet - the place is really quiet, even if in the heart of the city center Breakfast - good and tasty breakfast, decent variety

Very small room - not sure if all rooms are like this, but ours was really small, you barely have space to open your baggage. Noisy ventilation - which is constant and nothing you can do about it (the same for the room temperature, no way to control it) Old - everything is quite old and outdated Not very clean - quite dusty, shower not very clean, one of the pillow cases was dirty Pillows - very weird pillows, one super big, the other one super small and flat, makes it quite hard to avoid a neck pain in the morning. I would say that the hotel is overall a maximum 3 stars, not 4.

Comfortable beds, excellent location, superb breakfast & helpful staff

This was our 2nd stay within a week. This time we decided to treat ourselves to a superior room, however we felt the standard room we had during our first stay was better. Although the superior room had a great view over the bryggen, the room seemed smaller than our standard room with a poorer layout. Despite pictures showing a sitting area with 2 comfortable chairs, there was only 1 chair squashed into a corner and little space for our cases. As the hotel was full, they were unable to swap us to an alternative room. However, the friendly staff made up for our disappointment with an excellent complementary dinner & drink in the restaurant.

the room was great and we can see the beautiful shophouses from the side window. Bed was fine.

I see that this is part of Norway given that it is a rather cold place but the no air-conditioning in summer was a little unbearable and never stay over on a weekend unless you intend to join the party. Loud disco music went on the whole night and because it was so warm, the windows were wide open and the noise came through past midnight. Another thing is the bathroom, one shower and the entire bathroom gets wet. It is really puzzling why there is no real shower stall.

Firstly, the location of the hotel is excellent, directly opposite Brugge with its wonky timber buildings and the port. The staff were absolutely amazing, with special mention to Pernille (hope that’s spelt right) at the reception - she is an asset to the hotel and to Bergen. We were kindly given a room with a view, which really made our stay magical. Breakfast was excellent, with something for everyone. I would definitely stay there again.

If I had to be critical, I would say the corridors leading to the rooms are a tad tired, but don’t let that put you off.

I think this is the best location in Bergen. It is walking distance to so many of the major sites and has a wonderful view on the harbor. We had a water view room and it was so beautiful and romantic. Sarah Belle at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. It had a very n is daily breakfast buffet in the restaurant, which also is beautiful water views. The room we had was relatively spacious and had a bathtub, which can be hard to find these days. We ordered room service one night, which was pretty good. The staff in the restaurant and bar were quite nice and helpful.

The carpet in the hallway could use a little refresh and the lobby could also could use a little uplift. It would elevate the hotel if the lobby was better decorated.

Nice hotel centrally located.

If you want to leave your luggage, you leave them in a room, unattended and unsecured. People can enter the room freely, move the luggage, and take what they want. I understand that there is a high level of trust, but the room was chaotic, people moved luggage around so you cannot find your luggage where you left it, etc. For the price charged, I expect the hotel staff to secure and give out the luggage. Also, finding a table for breakfast can be challenging. They need to manage breakfast better.

Location and breakfast fantastic. Room floor needed a good wet wipe over as fluff and debris all over floor.

The room was small as expected in Europe but very comfortable and well designed. The hotel had wonderful views across the harbour to the Bryggen. It would be well worth paying extra for a Bryggen View room. The hotel wasn't right in the centre but it was only a short walk around the harbour to restaurants and sights. The Flybussen leaves for the airport nearby but only drops you off at the end of the harbour about 250 metres away on the way in from the airport due to the one way traffic system. Breakfast was amazing. Eating out in Norway is very expensive to to arrive at a massive buffet breakfast was a real treat. The staff were very helpful

Comfortable, clean chain hotel, extremely well located in central Bergen overlooking the harbour and Bryggen UNESCO site. Two minutes walk to the bus stop for the (extremely reliable) airport bus and an easy walk to explore the sites in the city centre. Unable to comment on the quality of the breakfast buffet as we had to leave early to catch a train/flight, but staff were extremely helpful and had a take-away breakfast ready for us to collect when we checked out. Much appreciated!

The first room we stayed in was large and spacious, with a huge bathroom, lovely comfortable space to relax in after a long day's travelling. The second room on our return visit was much smaller and more cramped, though still clean and well-equipped. The hotel has an old wing and a newer extension which may explain the difference.

Superb stay, magical view from the hotel over Bryggen and the harbour, everything was very well thought, free teas and coffees in the lounge downstairs which is very appreciated in winter time. Breakfast was absolutely superb, probably one of the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Rituals toiletries were awesome.

Our room was definitely smaller than I expected considering the price, although very comfortable. No boots cleaning facilities anywhere in the hotel or room, which is odd considering the amount of snow outside.
