My dad and I stayed here in mid-January for two nights before heading to Oslo by train. Nestled in Bergen’s historical centre, the hotel offered commanding views of Bryggen Wharf across the bay. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, though the bouncy beds added a touch of humor - I felt like I might bounce right onto the floor! The bathroom's toilet flush was so powerful it could put Niagara Falls to shame. The highlight of our stay was the excellent breakfast, praised by many for its wide variety of delicious options. With its proximity to attractions like Fløibanen Funicular and Torgallmenningen Square, plus warm and accommodating staff, this hotel is ideal for tourists seeking comfort and convenience. Superb service made this a memorable stay.

The location is perfect for tourists, across the street from the Tourist Information Centre, the fish market, and an airport express bus stop. The Fløyen funicular and Bryggen are a very short walk away and the train station just a bit farther. The breakfast buffet is awesome and the staff was uniformly pleasant, friendly and helpful.

The room (standard double on the back side of the building, sixth floor) was tiny, without any horizontal surface besides the bed. The room was hot and stuffy, with the only remedy being to open the window, but the very loud nightlife outside kept me awake until after 3am.

Staff is very nice, room was lovely with a lovely view of the Hanseatic Wharf. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options but not our favorite of the trip (pre-made smoothies were a nice addition though!) Express busses to Ulriken cable car & Bergen Aquarium, as well as to the airport, are very close to the hotel.

The lobby of the hotel leaves a little to be desired - it feels too open to the street & busy. Hotel does not have AC, which wouldn't normally be an issue but we arrived during a heat wave and they had run out of fans to distribute to the rooms. If heat waves happen more frequently due to global warming, they may want to at least invest in a few more fans.

Very well located right by the fish market. We could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go or grab a bus or metro close by. The room was comfortable although a bit small. Lots of places to eat around the hotel and there was a small grocery store next door. Breakfast was great with lots of options for every taste or dietary restriction. We would definitely return if we ever visit Bergen again.

We found it hard to lock the door as you had to press a button inside the room and sometimes it wouldn't lock. There was no way to manually lock the door with a deadbolt or privacy latch. You basically just had to trust that the door had locked when you were inside. Breakfast was also crowded and one morning we had to wait for a table.

This was a reasonably priced hotel in Bergen and there were many more expensive ones available, so I was a bit worried that it might be run down or something. I was delighted with our stay though! It is right on the harbour, across the water from the UNESCO heritage buildings so famous in Bergen. It was spotless, well kept, extremely comfortable beds and modern rooms. I'm very anxious about dirt and germs etc, and felt completely relaxed here because everything was clean and well cared for. The breakfast was fantastic, lots of choices from continental meats and cheeses to cooked breakfast options, porridge, yogurts, fresh fruits and pastries, and all on a self serve basis with no rush or feeling like things were going to run out. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the furnicular, 10 -15 from the train and bus station. Couldn't really be more central! The Ice Bar is about 10 mins walk and worth a visit for the experience. Opposite the hotel is a fab indoor fish market with a couple of great restaurants, and during the day the outdoor fish market is a great place for lunch. The staff were really lovely (well, everyone is in Norway!), helpful and friendly, and we were able to leave our luggage on our last day to enjoy the day unencumbered before our flight. If I stay in Bergen again I will stay here.

Nothing. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The location, right on the port in the old town with walking distance to everything of interest and public transport links. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. My room, a standard double was spacious, clean and well appointed. It was as requested, in a quiet part of the hotel. The bed wa super comfortable and I slept really well. The shower was roomy, plenty of hot water and towels. The breakfast buffet was more like a feast! Every type of food one could imagine: hot selection of eggs, bacon, sausages of many varieties,, pancakes etc. many types of cereals, fresh fruits, smoothies, cheeses, breads of all kinds, smoked Salmon, avocado, jams, juices, Norwegian specialities, too. The coffee, although from a self service machine was very good. Juices and water were also available. There are umbrellas available in the foyer for guests use-Bergen is rainy!

It's a great location, has a very good breakfast, is very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer a discount on parking which is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

The room was tiny and bare bones so if you want a coffee maker, closet versus shelves, space to put out suitcases etc. we didn't have that, in our room at least. It was a little hot and stuffy having an interior room even with the window opened at night (and we were up high so lower rooms might be worse.) A small fan could have alleviated that and then it would have been perfect.

The room and bathroom were great - quite adequate. Loved the duvet-style bed linen. Clean, plenty of towels, etc. Coffee machine & supplies were good and easy to use. Blackout curtains were great. Breakfast was awesome - lots of choices and a plentiful supply. Location was excellent. Easy walking distance to everything. Staff at check-in were efficient and friendly.

Only 1 thing - I was hoping for body lotion in the bathroom! Perhaps a few more hangers for clothes especially if 2 people are in the room.

Beautiful accommodation in a fantastic location – right across from the tourist visitor centre and the jetty. There’s also a pharmacy and a small grocery store just down the street, which was super convenient. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety: fresh fruit juice, milk, ginger shots, bread, chia seeds, cereals, and more. A great way to start the day! The room also had some thoughtful accessibility features, including a support holder in the toilet for guests with mobility needs, and a call-for-help button for added safety. A great stay overall!

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, the room was compact and cozy, with a spectacular view over the fiorde, and the location was perfect, just steps away from many restaurants and stores and also from the ferry launch to Flam where we were headed in the morning. Some other reviews have mentioned noise but we found it quiet and peaceful, although the street below was bustling. Staff were pleasant and helpful and we were allowed to check in a few hours before the usual time when we arrived after an early flight. The breakfast was amazing!! We would definitely stay there again!

Shower a bit cumbersome, and room was small, but really everything else made up for these minor inconveniences!
