The location is nice, close to the train station, the fish market, the Bryggen old part of the city, and the Fløyen mountain. I loved the variety of the breakfast, especially the provided shots of cod liver oil and lemon juice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. 🙂

The breakfast is exceptionally good. It's worth going here just for the breakfast. The beds are wonderful, really comfortable. There's a fridge in the room too. The location is great, near to transport, restaurants and the town centre. The staff are very helpful

The room was a bit too small for two adults, the lighting was poor, the room really needs a central light and there is only one chair. If one person sits at the desk the other can't see the TV.

Very good central position. It is not an ultra modern hotel. Some of the fixtures a little warn. But as others say, the breakfast is the best ever and the staff as helpful as can be. The bathroom and bed and linen very clean and up to standard and these are key features.

It is a fact that many rooms will either overlook an inner blank wall, maybe 5 metres away or for my side windows are directly opposite office /college windows. i.e. occupied. There is one sliding blackout curtain. So if you want privacy, the curtains need to be closed, then the room is dark. If you want light , people might see in. So, there should be blinds or net curtains of a sort. Not a deal killer, but it is odd and could be solved at least on those street facing rooms.

I stayed in this hotel to work remotely during the day and to go sightseeing in the evening and at night. (Two evenings and nights could be enough to discover the Bergen city centre as much as possible.) The location of the hotel is very good: Most of the landmarks of the city are within walking distance and for relatively far places such as Ulriken Cable Car or the airport, public transportation is hassle-free. The central train station is not far away and it's possible to walk from the hotel, but it's already an easy process to book a taxi from the hotel to the train station or any other place even in the very early morning. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. The breakfast service was very good. My room was small but sufficient for a single guest. The room and the bathroom were clean enough. My bed was comfortable. Owing to the windows that could be fully opened it was possible to have decent air conditioning in the room. (Unfortunately I doubt the integrated A/C controllers on the wall were really working.) The shower gel, conditioner, and soap in the bathroom were of good quality. The housekeeper didn't make up my room, but most likely she skipped my room as I hung the "Do Not Disturb" card on the door during the day. Last but not least, there are many restaurants and several 7-Eleven stores around the hotel.

The wireless Internet connection got occasionally disconnected and when it was connected, it was somewhat weak. Although it's possible to buy a hot drink from the reception as far as I know and it's possible to use their snack bar, it could have been good if you had provided a kettle with tea and/or coffee in the room as well. You had better provide one more towel in the bathroom too. Apart from these, I don't have any remarkable complaints.

Central, excellent service & superior buffet breakfast - more selection than you can think of. It has a luggage room to store belongings until you’re ready to leave the city or your room is ready, a taxi ordering machine (07000 taxis are prompt & excellent) & the light rail tram is 30 secs walk away that is every 10 mins & takes you direct to airport (costs less than a bus ride!). Rooms are very comfortable including the bed.

Breakfast end time a little early for me, 9:30 mid-week (10:30 weekends). Rooms could do with a little more lighting.

We loved our 'superior' 4th floor corner room with nice views over the park and the city hustle-and-bustle. Some of the smaller rooms we noticed seemed rather basic. Good location in easy walking distance from train and main bus station, and also an easy 15-minute walk to the Hurtigruten/ Havila ferry and the Old Bergen port area. Good buffet breakfast. Quite a few restaurants within 5-10 minute walking distance.

Some street noise, but that is inevitable for such a convenient central location. The elevator was out of service all weekend, which seemed unusually long to get fixed, but presumably this does not happen too often. And Bergen is the rainiest city of Norway, not much that can be done about that :)

The location is great, it is close to the city center and the train station so I walked everywhere. The reception staff were very friendly and told me I was given an upgrade so I got a bigger room with a larger bed than I expected. The breakfast was very nice with Norwegian options such as salmon as well as general breakfast items. Daily cleaning was good.

My room was on the street side, where there is a bar, so at night, sometimes there was some noise. I had my headphones, so it was not a serious issue. The chair in my room did not look very clean with some dust/stains.

Well located hotel, 5 minutes walking from the train and bus station and 10 minutes from Bryggen. you risk flooding the bathroom when taking a shower. Very good breakfast.

Excellent location, walkable to light rail, bus, train, Havila ship port, and all sights of Bergen. Fabulous front desk staff, friendly and helpful. The newly refurbished rooms are wonderfully appointed (thank you for the upgrade!). The bed was sooooooo comfortable! Great breakfast buffet, especially liked the fish oil and lemon shots.

Not much the hotel can do about it, but my room looked across into window of I believe to be condos? As such, had to keep the curtains closed. Either way, not much of a view, unless you like to watch your neighbours. The room was recently remodeled, and was very nice, but weirdly a gross (dirtly) chair was left there. (see pic). It undermined the newness/niceness of the rest of the room. It was expensive, but welcome to Bergen!

Hotel is central. Very close to the Kode museums, tramway and Bergen train station. Bryggen district and Fløyen funicular are a short walk away as well. The staff is lovely and very welcoming. Breakfast is awesome.

Room was very warm on arrival (it was also hot outside that day) but opening the windows to air out fixed it. Breakfast gets very busy from around 8:00/8:30… But it is understandable given its quality!
