Beautiful space for breakfast. Very helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable bed with lots of pillows and towels. Extremely well located. Nice toiletries. Daily housekeeping if you want it.

There were a few odd design choices. The lighting in the room was dim even with all the lights on and curtains open. The outlets were at literal floor level under the very low bedside table, and it required getting on hands and knees to plug in a charger. The door required force to shut behind you; I had to pull / push hard to get it to close. I felt they had never had a staff member stay in the room to know what the user experience was like. But all this aside, it was still a lovely stay. I was not informed of other places in the hotel I could visit, which was sad as other than the breakfast spot, there wasn’t anywhere to hang out besides the room

close to train/bus station and city center for dining, shopping and sightseeing, comfortable bed and quiet room, professional and attentive staff, good food options within the hotel, enjoyed talking to Yngve who was making sure guests were having a good time and he gave us dining suggestions in the city, historical and cultural vibe.

Thermostat in the room was not working properly and front desk ended up fixing the room temperature externally, entrance is not suitcase friendly, long wait for food and missing food items at Frescohallen (maybe short staffed? food was good and dining area was great), would have been nice if walking directions from train station to the hotel was provided in advance (we took cobblestone street up hill that was not suitable for suitcase and exhausting :( )

The Børs was honestly amazing. The location can't be beat, the amenities are top-shelf, the staff are all extremely professional and competent, the bar is something out of a movie, as is the dining area, and even the 'value' rooms are quite comfortable. The Børs puts you easy walking distance to most things one would want to see as a tourist in Bergen as well as necessities (shopping, dining, the one laundromat in the city), and short bus-rides to anything else. The building has historic charm, but without asking you to forgive anything in the way of modern conveniences. You can theoretically eat every meal on-site were you so inclined, and the breakfast is 100% worth it. The highest compliment I suppose I can give, is that when some of our down-stream travel plans changed unexpectedly, the Børs staff were extremely helpful in exploring options and extending our stay 2 different times. Plans falling through always sucks when you're travelling, but I'm not sure we'd have rather been "stuck" anywhere else.

More expectation-setting for those trying to ball on a budget, but our "standard queen" room, for you Americans, was about the size of a typical chain hotel room so was a little cozy with a few weeks worth of luggage. Naturally it was more well-appointed, and the bathroom was enormous, (50% the size of the living area) so made up for some lack of square-footage. If you're looking for space though, larger rooms are available including suites.

This property was a beautifully renovated historic building with high ceilings and amazing ceiling art in the dining room. The beds were comfortable with thick fluffy duvets. The morning coffee in the room was excellent. A full buffet breakfast was provided every morning in the dining room. The location was just across from the harbour in the center of the historic downtown close to restaurants and shops! The staff were so helpful and friendly making our stay that much more enjoyable . I would stay here again!

The location is superb, handy for the airport light rail, ferries, pubs, restaurants, the Fløibanen and everything, really. Add to that the beautiful Frescohallen restaurant bar and you've got a winner. What was also a surprise is that they now have a coffee machine you can use at breakfast, on previous visits the instant stuff was terrible. The coffee machine in the room is a boon, as was the view in our usual room.

The so-called "elegant" BARE bar on the third floor is uninspiring to say the least. Considering this used to be a Michelin restaurant, it's all gone wrong somewhere, as confirmed to us by the bar staff, Breakfast is excellent but don't try the hot stuff as it's always cold, even when it comes out of the kitchen.

Impossible to NOT like this hotel . A part from the book about the hotel s history that you find in your room which was a fantastis suprise - this is really a historical place and you can feel it in the atmosphere. Everything was perfect, staff very helpful and kind and they gave me the room i wanted for which im very grateful, the room was amazing, the view was amazing, the building was amazing...it was silent and very relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic with a lot of great choices and the restaurant was magical with top quality food - my stay was overall basically perfect. THANK YOU for this nice experience. I will be back for sure. Totally worth the price !

The breakfast was formidable. Such a wide range of food available. Utterly delicious. Location was spot on - right in the centre with easy access to everything. Reception staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Room was a good size. Bathroom was spacious. Look of the hotel was lovely. The restaurant was wonderful. Pricey but delicious food.

The waterproof sheets on the bed which made ha sweat at night. The lack of light in our room - not much in way of windows. Lock on door didn’t work properly - had to play around with the internal lock and wait 60 seconds for it to secure. The nightclub music was SO loud it kept my sister awake until the early hours. We ate in the restaurant both nights and on first night our order was lost so we waited over an hour and would never have got the food if we hadn’t asked. Our order just disappeared. Second night we waited 50 minute and only got our food once again when we asked where it was. Food was delicious though.

This is a lovely hotel. in a great part of town. The restaurant is housed in a magnificent hall, decorated with fresco paintings; we wished we had stayed longer. One of our party had injured her leg, and the staff were really helpful in providing her with a wheelchair for the duration of the stay

The rooms are quite expensive for the size that you get, but we have realised that, as well as Norway being an expensive country to visit in general, the hotel prices are way higher even than London in the UK. But it is what it is - this is a great hotel, which I would thoroughly recommend

The corner suite was an excellent choice, as we travelled as a family with both our kids who shared the double room attached to the larger “master” bedroom. Both rooms are gorgeous, with speactcular views over the city centre and Floyen mountain. Breakfast options were plenty and really delicious, and hotel staff were there to cater to any potential needs. All in all, this was an excellent stay for us!

The only tiny observation to make would be that the temperature in the rooms was set a bit too low (with no possibility to change settings on the thermostat), so it got pretty cold during the night - not an issue as such for us, just mentioning as an awareness point for anyone travelling with young children. If you also happen to travel during rainy days/ nights, do note it can get quite loud (especially at night) if the corner suite is on the top floor.

The design and interiors are superb, feels like staying in a vintage castle. The Frescohallen restaurant is a tourist attraction in itself. The hotel staff was always helpful and smiling - they resolved all requests promptly. The room had a fantastic view of the lit up streets, we spent a lot of time indoors as it was Christmas but had no complaints whatsoever. Location is also superb - walkable from all popular spots.

Everything was great but one regret - the reception staff proactively told us on the first day we arrived that we could go for the Gingerbread Town till 9 pm (even when we said that our ticket mentions 2 pm) - we followed the advice and went later around 4 and realized it had shut down - my son was sorry disappointed that he had to miss it ☹️ - would advise the staff to be a bit careful with advising tourists on timings next time as people would ordinarily tend to rely on them entirely.
