Great comfy room for 4- sofa bed was good for kids and the main bed was very comfortable! Lots of modern touches like usb outlets by the bed and great big windows, good baths etc. the only thing to note is the design of the bath has a small glass area which if you’re not staying with someone close to you - you’ll have to cover with a large towel. Didn’t see the pool or gym as it was just a rest break overnight on the way to Flåm. Breakfast was the best breakfast we’ve ever had in Europe! An entire huge table was just gluten free and the options for eating covered several rooms! Kids loved the variety too. Scrambled eggs, ready made omelets, homemade teas, fresh fruit, and on and on. Garage was perfect too behind the hotel access and easy to get to from the building inside.

Nothing it was perfect for our needs. Elevators were far from our room so make sure to ask for closer to those if that’s a need. we didn’t care though.

Walking distance from station and good location

The room we had seemed pretty small, with the toilet too close to the bed.

Breakfast was fantastic, so much choice. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Location in the city centre was brilliant. Staff were efficient.

There was quite a wait at reception on both arrival and checkout. Customer service was good but not personal.

I fancy the art deco design approach of the hotel. The bar by the entrance is quite a venue and the ambiance was perfectly complemented by the dj mixing all the good and smooth ones for two evenings in a role. The hotel lobby upstairs is a nice place to be before going up to the room. The reception desk clerks were kind and helpful.

The rude waitress who asked me to leave the upper level of the bar, one evening, because I dared to sip from my own glass of wine (which I actually bought from the hotel through the room's minibar) while attending some emails, instead of ordering some at the bar. This is not a 5* hotel attitude, but an offending and wrong one. I am not supposed to know about such absurd internal rules and it is their job to politely inform the guests and advise the "outlaws" to finish their drink and then order the next one from the bar or so.

Very nice hotel with a good atmosphere, mainly due to the vibrant bar/restaurant downstairs. Good location in the city. Breakfast was very, very good. Nice clean rooms.

The main reason we booked this hotel was the availability of a pool because our kids love to swim. When we arrived at the swimming pool we were denied access because children were not allowed. Our kids (and we to) were very disappointed. Only early in the morning we were welcome with our family, after paying 500 KR for an hour swimming. Instead of swimming every day we could go just once. The restrictions of the pool were not clear on booking.com otherwise we would not have booked here. At the time of booking or at checkin no clear information was provided regarding the restrictions. If we had received better information from the hotel, the disapointment could have been avoided.

Hotel rooms are good and clean. We booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. Breakfast is good and lots of choice. Lastly the location was perfect in the middle of Bergen.

Swimming pool is only accessible by children older than 5 years. Nothing was mentioned on this (neither at the reception), except when we tried to enter the pool, the gentle lady said that our 2 year old son couldn't swim with us. They made an exception for our 4 year old son though. Besides this they charge adults for the pool - again no mentioned on this before. Children (5-15yr) are free. Parking spots are really limited under the hotel and most of the times full. However other parking's are close by (5-10min walk).

Some of the rooms are extremely small. We had to move to another one and pay the upgrade as the standard is not nice, you feel trapped and very different feeling when you walk in that what is shown on pictures

Nice modern rooms with a hanging basket chair! Well designed/laid out room to maximise the space available whilst still feeling cosy. Lots of options for the breakfast buffet and a very central location making it very easy to get to any part within the centre of Bergen (and equally any transport). Staff were also extremely helpful and polite.

The hotel is situated right above a night club so can be noisy for any extremely light sleepers, however with some earplugs you really can't hear anything - the soundproofing of the windows do an excellent job. Later in the evenings (at least over the weekend) the entrance is filled with loud music as you have to walk through the bar area. Other than the loud music, there's not really anything to fault!

In room 619. Very noisy every night from outside bar/cafe with loud music. Not good enough noise insulation.

The location is excellent in the centre of Bergen, everything is nearby and only a few minutes' walking distance far, i.e. train station, fish market, bus station, seaport, restaurants, shops, information centre, Fløyen etc.. The room size is good and the view is nice. Breakfast was very pleasant with generous selections, and room service is effective and swift. The reception staff and breakfast restaurant staff are very nice and helpful with always a smile on the face.

For a 5 stars Hotel standards, many things were not available in the room, for example, slippers, tissue boxes, shower dresses, toiletries, and complementary water but on request, they have provided most of these to us quickly. Also, the hotel does not have air conditioning, although it was mentioned in the facilities section in Booking.com that it has, but it was a ventilation window only. Having said that, the hotel provides a fan on request, which was effective. Finally, the fridge was very small and packed with the mini bar beverages, so we couldn't use it for anything.
