The location is nice, close to the train station, the fish market, the Bryggen old part of the city, and the Fløyen mountain. I loved the variety of the breakfast, especially the provided shots of cod liver oil and lemon juice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. 🙂

The location of the hotel is quite good, it is at the last stop of the airport train, and it is also within walking distance of the central train station. We were able to walk to the city center and the sights. There are many markets and cafes nearby. The breakfast was very good. There were even paper cups to take coffee to go. The variety was quite large and sufficient. The staff was very helpful, they immediately met our request for an extra bed for the children.

There are no disposable slippers in the rooms. The room size is also a bit small but useful.

The breakfast is exceptionally good. It's worth going here just for the breakfast. The beds are wonderful, really comfortable. There's a fridge in the room too. The location is great, near to transport, restaurants and the town centre. The staff are very helpful

The room was a bit too small for two adults, the lighting was poor, the room really needs a central light and there is only one chair. If one person sits at the desk the other can't see the TV.

Very good central position. It is not an ultra modern hotel. Some of the fixtures a little warn. But as others say, the breakfast is the best ever and the staff as helpful as can be. The bathroom and bed and linen very clean and up to standard and these are key features.

It is a fact that many rooms will either overlook an inner blank wall, maybe 5 metres away or for my side windows are directly opposite office /college windows. i.e. occupied. There is one sliding blackout curtain. So if you want privacy, the curtains need to be closed, then the room is dark. If you want light , people might see in. So, there should be blinds or net curtains of a sort. Not a deal killer, but it is odd and could be solved at least on those street facing rooms.

I stayed in this hotel to work remotely during the day and to go sightseeing in the evening and at night. (Two evenings and nights could be enough to discover the Bergen city centre as much as possible.) The location of the hotel is very good: Most of the landmarks of the city are within walking distance and for relatively far places such as Ulriken Cable Car or the airport, public transportation is hassle-free. The central train station is not far away and it's possible to walk from the hotel, but it's already an easy process to book a taxi from the hotel to the train station or any other place even in the very early morning. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. The breakfast service was very good. My room was small but sufficient for a single guest. The room and the bathroom were clean enough. My bed was comfortable. Owing to the windows that could be fully opened it was possible to have decent air conditioning in the room. (Unfortunately I doubt the integrated A/C controllers on the wall were really working.) The shower gel, conditioner, and soap in the bathroom were of good quality. The housekeeper didn't make up my room, but most likely she skipped my room as I hung the "Do Not Disturb" card on the door during the day. Last but not least, there are many restaurants and several 7-Eleven stores around the hotel.

The wireless Internet connection got occasionally disconnected and when it was connected, it was somewhat weak. Although it's possible to buy a hot drink from the reception as far as I know and it's possible to use their snack bar, it could have been good if you had provided a kettle with tea and/or coffee in the room as well. You had better provide one more towel in the bathroom too. Apart from these, I don't have any remarkable complaints.

The room was lovely. We paid for a smaller room, but it was perfectly adequate for our needs. Unused to the long daylight hours and early morning light, we really appreciated the blackout blind that covered our window. It worked well!! We traveled also to Sweden and Estonia and everything we ate was delicious, but the breakfast at the Scandic Byparken was the best! Great variety, especially in the egg dishes. I wish I could eat there everyday.

No complaints at all.

The Scandic is located in the best location. Very central and everything was very walkable. The floor my room was located on was very quiet. The front desk was very helpful in checking me in early and asking me if I’d prefer a quieter room - that was not overlooking the street. That is what I prefer and got and it was perfect. In addition they serve a nice breakfast with lots of options.

Loved the location and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very kind and helpful! The room was lovely and clean. We loved the heated floor in the bathroom! Great hotel and would definitely return!

Being from North America we are not use to such small hotel rooms so I suspect that is a bit of a cultural adjustment on our part. Other than the size of the room everything else was great!

Central, excellent service & superior buffet breakfast - more selection than you can think of. It has a luggage room to store belongings until you’re ready to leave the city or your room is ready, a taxi ordering machine (07000 taxis are prompt & excellent) & the light rail tram is 30 secs walk away that is every 10 mins & takes you direct to airport (costs less than a bus ride!). Rooms are very comfortable including the bed.

Breakfast end time a little early for me, 9:30 mid-week (10:30 weekends). Rooms could do with a little more lighting.

So central, easy to find and get to everywhere we wanted to get to. We were a group of five rooms and seven people - the singles were amazing! Spacious with large en-suite - took photos for home-improvements - worked really well. The breakfast is amazing and the staff even better than that. Loved everything about it. We were a party of 20 30 and 60 somethings - suited us all.
