4th Floor room Harbour view. Love the fact that it had Rituals bathroom products - such luxury! The breakfast was excellent, spoilt for choice! Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful in every way. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bergen. The location was excellent with lots of restaurants nearby and great value for money....I am missing my lovely breakfast now I am home!

The room would benefit from better lighting as I struggled to see what was in my case but didn't spoil my experience.

Excellent breakfast, super friendly hotel staff, very comfortable beds, free coffee and tea all day long. Gym room has two treadmills, a cross-trainer, a rowing machine, an ergo bike, a weight bench, a pull station and several dumbbells. The receptionists give out 4 gym keys, which ensures it is not overcrowded. Small sauna is comfortable and can be booked at the reception.

Sadly the sauna became dysfunctional during my visit. The coffee/tea machine for use throughout the day broke in the same time, but the friendly hotel staff served coffee at the reception to make up for it. :-)

The room is big , enough for 4 pieces of luggage . The funicular station is like a stone throw away . Other areas of interest within walking distance . Airport bus #50 stop at Torget and walking to the hotel was a breeze . We stayed on the second floor and did not hear any sound from the bar opposite as mentioned in other posts ...actually it was rather quiet . Breakfast was impressive especially me as a vegetarian . The water jet has good pressure and shampoo , body wash , lotion provided .

The bed was a bit soft for me . The water temperature adjustment was a bit of a hassle as it was controlled by 2 separate taps No bar fridge in the room .

Located in a very good location in the city's historic centre, the hotel was large and comfortable.

The location is absolutely perfect to explore Bergen with all major sites quickly and easily accessible. The staff was super friendly and had many good recommendations, including for food. There are many great restaurants nearby including a great wine bar a block away. The price for the room was very good and fair and ours # 426 had a great view of the harbor. And as you've heard the included breakfast is well above average and very good considering the price of the room.

There was not a safe in the room, which I always prefer when traveling abroad with our passports. Also the bathroom was quite small. Not deal breakers but I would especially prefer a safe in the room. Also the hallway rug on the 4th floor definitely needs a cleaning and was not a nice introduction to the living space, although the room itself was fine and clean.

The breakfast was really nice, with a very large choice of foods. The staff in the hotel were very helpful. The bathroom included a heated floor, which came in handy when we wanted to dry out our wet clothing. The room size was fine for two people (not crowded). The location is very central, easy to reach via public transport, right at the port for the Fjord visit. The sauna is super, as is the fitness room. Free coffee and hot cocoa is fantastic, particularly when it is cold and rainy.

It seems that this was a three star hotel that upgraded to 4 stars, and certain aspects seemed still to be of the past infrastructure. The heating in the room did not work well (it was a bit cool) - and I am unsure how the room was heated. The shower in one room splashed all over (the partition did not hold back the water), which was a problem of a partially broken shower head. It was also difficult to figure out how to use the shower. Based on other 4 star hotels in Bergen, I think that the price of Clarion was a bit high (10-15%)

Loved the breakfast, fikka and dinner included in the room rate. It’s a great value in a great location near many points of interest, shops and restaurants. The staff in the restaurant was very kind to my 4 year old. Everyone was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked the family room which was large and spacious because it had two rooms however the other room was like a dungeon with no windows (which was stated in the booking information) but the lighting was pretty awful which is why I am giving it a 9 instead of a 10.

We wanted to stay in the Bryggen area and Clarion Hotel Bergen was a great choice for the start of our independent "Norway in a Nutshell" tour. We arrived by the airport bus, dropped near the hotel, and departed by ferry to Flam which was a short walk to the ferry boarding. We did not use hotel services such as bar or restaurant (except for breakfast, which was very good). Many sights are easy walking distance, also many very excellent restaurants especially in the fish market. The old Bryggen area adjacent is very easy to visit. My only caution is for people with mobility issues, the hotel is a short but possibly challenging walk up a side street from the harbor main road where the airport bus drops off, unless you are being delivered directly to the hotel.

The location is absolutely fabulous; easy walking distance to the harbour area and all of the amenities there. The breakfast is exceptional in terms of quality and choice. The staff are delightful; nothing is too much trouble.

Our room didn't have a view which was a bit disappointing - but, on the plus side, that meant it was very, very quiet. The website should probably be a bit clearer that there isn't a restaurant so you can't eat there in the evenings and local restaurants are busy so do need to be booked.

Breakfast was amazing - huge choice of hot and cold options, catered for lactose intolerance, gluten free options, and all beautifully presented. Also very pleased to find the hotel provided an inclusive basic evening meal ( excellent soup, bread, salad and basic main meal ), which saved us a lot of money.

The room decor and most of the hotel rooms were grey and black. Very gloomy, and lighting in the bedroom was poor- no central ceiling light. No English channels on the room TV, not even Sky News.
