The hotel is lovely, feels like a boutique hotel, the staff were very friendly, nice breakfast and comfortable beds. Bergen centre can get very busy at weekends and the hotel was about a 5/10 minute walk where it's much quieter and peaceful to get away from the crowds, whilst still being very central.

The only minor thing is that there were some marks on walls and furniture that could be repaired/painted (e.g. paint had come off walls where it looked like a picture was removed). The hotel is absolutely lovely though.

Amazing spot, right in the middle of Bergen’s cute houses you see in pictures! Walking distance to basically every interesting spot in the city. The hotel itself is very comfortable and cozy, with a very relaxing atmosphere. Very comfortable bed, silent room, and everything else you need in the room and the bathroom is there! Reception is 24/7, so very good if you have a late flight. My only note is about breakfast: it is EXCELLENT, a lot of savoury food (salmon, cheese, eggs, even falafel and meatballs), cereal, and pretty amazing bread. The only thing for me, for my personal taste, I missed some pastry and sweet food, and there was little fruit. So just in case you are more of an Italian breakfast person, you know. But really overall worth the money and would definitely return!

The hotel is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Historic streets a few feet away. The staff, rooms and breakfast were great. The breakfast was so tasty with so many different choices. We enjoyed our afternoon waffles with fruit jam too. This was a special treat. The location is only a few minutes away from all of the sites and tourists, so it was nice to escape back to a quiet neighborhood where you really get a sense of living in Bergen. We felt like we had a secret, by staying away from the crowds. A breakfast bag was also made for us, as we had an early flight. This included a salmon sandwich and a ham sandwich with an apple.

They should not serve whale meat for breakfast. To fellow tourists: Please, don’t eat it in the mistaken belief that you are sampling traditional food or having a cultural experience. You are not doing either. All you are doing is encouraging further whaling. Go whale watching instead and see whales alive and free!

Very good breakfast in a spacious and pleasant room. Good helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, plenty of electric sockets! Superb location with great views from the streets around and a 10 minute walk to the end of Nordnes peninsula with a lovely park and views of the sunset across the water. Around 10 - 15 minutes walk to the city centre, or bus 11 which runs 2 or 3 times per hour depending on the time, but doesn't run beyond 10pm ish. Nice outside area with seating, several cafés and restaurants within easy walking distance on the way downhill to the town centre.

Nothing- some might not like the only chrome cast TV, and no lifts (the 15 bedrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors (ground floor is floor 1).

Location was a gentle 15 minute up hill walk straight from the end of the tram line from the airport. Room on 3rd floor (no lift but reception offered and carried out cases) adequate for 1 night mattresses a little spongy for us. Kettle and walk in shower/wet room with heated floor. Could do with better light by the bathroom mirror. Inclusive waffles from 4 to 7pm a nice touch. Breakfast plentiful and good choices. Left our cases until late afternoon as had a day exploring Bergen before taking the Hurtigruten 12 day tour (15 mins downhill to their port terminus) so a great location for the hotel to explore Bergen.

We spent two nights following a Scandinavian cruise which ended in Bergen. Located a bit off the beaten path, the hotel is situated in a largely, residential area. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed and able to store our luggage as our room was not yet ready. We returned around 7pm and checked in quickly. Our assigned room was tiny, smaller than our cabin on the cruise ship which we just vacated. There was no room, nor a nearby electrical outlet for my husband’s CPAP machine. Returning to the front desk, we were reassigned a room on the third floor. Staff helped us move our luggage. I should have paid more attention to the hotel’s description which clearly stated that there was no elevator. Having knee issues, I found navigating the stairs difficult. But again – this is on me. Our room on the third floor was slightly larger, however, the roof slanted and my husband regularly hit his head. Also, the bed was flush against the wall, hence only one of us could leave the bed without crawling over the other. The bathroom was a decent size but poorly designed. The shower only had a small screen/wall and although we were careful, a large portion was wet after a shower. The room also had a kettle and one could make coffee or tea. Breakfast was plentiful and I particularly enjoyed the fresh, home baked bread. The hotel was located about a kilometer from the train station and there were numerous restaurants in the area. Be advised it is all uphill to return to the hotel, makes from some great exercise after a meal. Although the price was right and the staff were awesome, I cannot recommend this hotel for anyone with mobility issues.

Design of the bathroom.

The room was fine, not luxurious but we were not expecting that, it was a decent size and light with big windows, comfortable bed, decent sized en-suite. All very clean. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and had a good choice. We liked the location, short downhill walk into the centre of town and the tram for the airport. Also next door is the Lovetann Cafe & Bistro which does amazing food definitely worth booking a table.

Some of the decor was a little faded, chipped paint etc and the carpet was very thin and cheap but everything was very clean so not a problem.

Good location for the light rail from the airport and the Havila ship the next day. Lovely staff, nice breakfast. Good shower.

No lift, which is a bummer when you are on the third floor and it's only for one night. Small room but adequate.

The room was small but comfortable and warm enough for a cold winter. The breakfast was varied and generous. Very good bread and they sometimes made nice pastries (brownies, a crepe or scones - delicious). It's up a little hill, good location to walk everywhere interesting in Bergen. Don't forget to enjoy their homemade waffle (between 5-8 pm)! it's one per day and per person, and very lovely!

The first room they wanted to put me in smelled terrible, old tobacco it was unbearable so luckily they quickly changed me but then offered a room that didn't look so nice (view over the parking lot) right by the stairs. After insisting I finally had a normal room, not smelly and same view as the first one. I wondered why I was not offered that one instead from the start, but the lady was not aware of the smell. People (workers?) working downstairs and passing by the backyard kept slamming doors early morning, waking me up. Nearly all receptionists were smiling and genuinely friendly. The bed was not great, too soft for me (might be good for others, I like firm mattresses) that said it was my third hotel in Norway and this seems to often be the case!
