Checking in and out was relatively easy with the self-service. Our rooms were pretty clean and comfy. Nice double-glazed windows made things pretty quiet aside from the slamming of doors. The night guy (blond, bearded, with blue eyes) was very helpful with restaurant tips, drinks, snacks, extra pillows, a kettle, etc. Breakfast was good, the downstairs area was cozy and we even played one of the free board games. Hubby liked the gym.

We found a contact lens in our shower that wasn’t ours. We asked one of the morning staff at reception on our second day to have someone clean my dad’s room because he broke a glass, but that was never done. As mentioned, other guests slamming their doors on their way out in the morning was a daily disturbance. Rooms could have had better lighting and one of them smelled really weird (almost like blood).

It is very nice location and good value for a vacation stay. Breakfast is good.

The night stands are little too small because limited room size. It is ok for just sleep at night as our Bergen tour.

The staff were friendly and helpful. It is a good location close to various attractions and a supermarket within an easy stroll. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The hotel offers luggage storage which is an added bonus.

My only criticism would be that they did not offer an electric kettle or cups so you could make a cuppa in your room. Hot water was available down at reception only.

Excellent choice. Close to central part of city but out of the crush when cruise ships are in town. Walkable from central train and bus station area. Fresh, clean, things work with friendly and efficient staff. Can rent you a large umbrella if you didn’t bring one and happen to experience some of Bergen’s famous weather. Good breakfast to get you going. If you are leaving early before breakfast is served, you can order a basic breakfast pack - but you have to order it before 1 pm (even though this does not seem to be written down anywhere). There are a couple of supermarkets nearby as well as restaurants depending on your tastes and budget.

This is not about the hotel, but about guests. Unfortunately some guests do not respect the hotel and others. When you have finished breakfast, clear your tray, plates, cups, cutlery etc and take them to the stations that have been set up. This means staff can clean the table surface s Quickly so others can eat breakfast. Alas some guests just walk away leaving their mess for others to clean up. No kettle or small fridge in the room.

Self-check-in was easy and the location was pretty close to the harbor without being in the middle of the tourist chaos. Staff were very friendly and always tried to help. The luggage room felt quite secure. My room was clean. I had asked for a quiet room and got one right in the middle of the hall, but it did look out over a quiet back area so that was good. Breakfast didn't have any stand-out options but it was plentiful, with lots of different choices. The price I paid (I booked really far in advance) seemed like a pretty good deal for Bergen.

The bed was just a thin mattress on top of a box spring and, while fairly comfortable, the mattress kept sliding out of place. It was also dark colored, with just a sheet on top, making it impossible to check for bed bugs. There was a small chair and 1 small nightstand but otherwise no surface in the room on which to set any belongings (including no luggage rack).

Excellent interior design and layout...lounge area, ping pong, gym, and fabulous breakfast and workspace area! The staff were very helpful and wheelchair access was very good, bathroom adapted and spacious, bedroom too!

The coffee was not good and even though the breakfast was good the layout could be improved and hot chocolat option for children would be appreciated ! The extra bed for our son who payed an adult price was not very solid and too small for an adult, an adult sized bed should have been provided but maybe this was because we required an accessible room which did not have a 3rd bed.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and warm. Breakfast was excellent, both in terms of quantity, quality and variety. We also appreciated the availability of the bar drinks and snacks and being able to sit and relax in an area outside our room. It was good to have inhouse WiFi too.

There was only 1 pillow each and the pillows were very soft. I usually use 2 pillows and definitely need one that is a bit more supportive, so had to squish the pillow to make a more solid one. We would have appreciated extra pillows being available in the room. The shower was not emptying properly and water was building up in the shower base. It may have been partially blocked, however we forgot to mention it when checking out.

Breakfast was amazing. Not only were there the usual choices of sliced meats, cheeses and cereals but it was the only hotel on our trip where there was food that I could comfortable eat. The range of dairy free and gluten free options was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful and didn't laugh at us when when couldn't work the TV :D

It was entirely my own fault that I booked a hotel so far away from the train station. It was quite a long walk with our suitcases but, that was my own fault for not being more careful. The location doesn't look amazing at first glance but a very short walk takes you to the edge of the harbour where there's a nice sitting area.

The room was small, but very cozy, comfy beds and had everything we needed.To stay green, they bring in fresh clean towels every 4 days, but can request daily to have them so no issues there. The breakfast was top notch, we loved it. Tap water is awesome, never had better tap water. The lobby staff and kitchen staff are very friendly. It's very clean and a cozy place to stay at. The location was just perfect. Close to the harbour. We walked all around, never used transport. We hiked to Stoltzekleiven from there too, and up to Mt. Fløyen. You have everything close to this hotel, restaurants, Bryggen, harbour for fjord cruises, fish market, libraries, everything. The only thing missing and what some people might want is a parking space, but honestly we didn't feel the need for it. Walking was perfect.

It’s about 15 min walk from the central station (and no, it’s not all brick) but extremely close to terminals for various fjord tours that leave bergen, we did two of them and it was optimal. Extreme high value for the money. Room had all we needed and was clean. Space was enough. Breakfast was good, consistent with other comfort hotels. Staff was helpful. Ability to store luggage in locked room for the day.

The toilet in the room was uncomfortable, and consistent with other comfort hotels you only get one small pillow per person which is not enough.
