Beautiful location. Very friendly staff.

The restaurant have a 3 and 5 courses menu on their website. We were really looking forward to it and made a reservation in the beautiful restaurant. When we arrived at our table the server told us that they only offered three items, salmon, pulled pork or pizza. Wow, disappointed yes! We all ordered the salmon and it was very good. However, we were there for a gastronomic evening. And, besides the salmon, the only other choices was “street food”. The server apologized and did her best to make us happy by giving us free dessert. It’s just the fact that when you planning for weeks and travel across the Atlantic with friends from France, it’s just a bit too little and too late.

Hotel is located right on the fjord coast beside the ferry dock and the view from the room was just stunning. Beds were really comfortable and windows are large so you can enjoy the view. There is a sauna with a fjord view and a small private beach. We came quite early but the receptionist was so kind and checked us in.

Breakfast could have been little bit more diverse and the nearest grocery store is about 40 minutes by walking.

The lady at reception was really nice and made our stay really pleasant. The position on the fjord is fantastic. The breakfast was excelent.

The hotel needs some kind of refurbishment.

Exceptional dinner. Wonderful view and outdoor sitting areas. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed the quiet and comfortable reception area seating. A really short walk to a Joker, a cool mural, a funny troll fishing in drainage, and cute little gift store.

Parking was rather arbitrary and minor distance from accommodation.

We stayed twice in the hotel, each for one night. We liked the location on the fjord, the upgrade to a delux room in the second stay which was a lot better than the standard room and had a terrace right on the water. Breakfast was pretty good.

We did not like the standard room which was on the small side, lacked some things like fridge, kettle, decent mattreses and so on.

Everything was almost perfect. The breakfast and dinner were so good, the outside area is great (could be a few more places to lay down) with a breathtaking view of the Fjord and the mountains. We had a very spacious room with a wonderful view. The staff was more than friendly and we were a little sad that we had to leave after only one night.

The hotel seems a little older and the interior is not very modern but that wasn’t a big problem because the rest was really great

Breakfast was very good. Wide choice. The location was great with wonderful views of the fjord. Having a balcony was great.

A small point - we would have preferred a separate show rather than a shower in th ebath.

Beautifully situated hotel directly next to fjord, we stayed in the old part of the hotel, where history was breathing on us, we really liked it. Dogs were no problem, also drying our clothes after a very wet hike in Folgefonna. Good dinner buffet, nice breakfast. Great staff!

Beautiful dining and lounge area. Stunning views and great food. Huge selection of food for both dinner and breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

No elevator which is understandable given it is an old building but I was not feeling well so carrying my heavy suitcase up 2 flights of stairs was hard work that day.

Great location on the fjord and room was spacious for Nordic standards. Nice to have a balcony although we didn’t use this given the weather. The front desk staff were excellent ! Bonus of an optional supper buffet which was tremendous value and a really really good meal.
