The location is great. The water is in walking distance, there's a grocery store across the street, and Tine cheese next door. The view from our porch was beautiful. It was a short drive to other fjords we wanted to visit. The restaurant was good and the staff for the hotel and restaurant were friendly. If you see other reviews that complained about the shower door not keeping the water in: they aren't understanding that it is a wet room.

We were on the first floor and it would have been nice to have a step down off the porch/balcony on to the lawn as it was just slightly too high without one.

The location was very easy to reach from the ferry dock (and would also be easy if arriving by road). The room was comfortable, quiet and had a lovely outlook (we were in the annex building at the back). The breakfast was excellent. The village was delightful to explore on foot. We had come to visit the stave church (which was superb) and we were very pleased when the staff told us about the ancient stone church also with easy walking distance, which is well worth a visit.

Two minor issues which did not detract from an overall excellent experience: it sometimes took a while to find someone at reception; and it was not possible to sit outside on the restaurant patio for breakfast due to excessive attention from seagulls (but there was ample seating inside, and big windows).

The breakfast was extraordinary with local specialities, the stuff was kind and helpful. Ideal for walking in the village. Free parking. The room was simple, but clean and had every nevessary things.

The price was relatively high. Thin walls.

Nice restaurant, we arrived late but the staff were helpful and looked after us with a delicious meal. Very good breakfast too. Big car park and lovely quiet rooms.

The rooms are slightly away from the hotel, it was fine for us but might be less than ideal in heavy rain.

Veeery old bathroom, it gets full of water when you use the shower. Noisy hotel (if you can say hotel- it's like a cabin), you hear everyone in the toilet from all the rooms around all night

The included breakfast was a great value--hot and cold foods, including local gamalost, and hot, strong coffee. Ask about the Sylveringen tours--I enjoyed a 3.5 hr guided walk to the stave and stone churches, as well as learning about the historic neighborhood near the harbor and ancient burial mounds too. The hotel has a small gift shop, including postcards, books, and locally designed knitwear patterns + yarn. Lunch at the restaurant was delicious with beautiful presentation and flavors. The hotel restaurant was bright and comfortable, with windows on three sides to enjoy activity on the main town street.

Consider suggesting that people not smoke on their room balconies, but perhaps in another designated area. Unfortunately smoke from my hotel neighbors came into my room and I couldn't keep the window open for fresh air.

We were impressed with the care consistently provided by the Blix staff. Our questions, prior to our arrival, were answered well, and the advice about the venue and area was so helpful, and meant we really enjoyed our stay in Vik. Thank you!

Very Cozy Hotel, the bathroom is very spacious, the staff super kind and ready to help, internet is good and the buffet breakfast is very rich with great quality food (especially the crispy pastry!!)

In the rooms at the end of the corridor the internet connection is slower and can be troublesome.

The hotel is located on the fjord in a very nice town, really beautiful surroundings. Clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good, especially the raspberry jam was delicious!

No fridge in the room.
