These are modern buildings so quite utilitarian rather than quaint or historic. On the other hand, despite being close to the main road and town, it was super quiet. Many rooms have great views, some of the fjord and also of the apple orchard behind and between the accommodation blocks. There is lots of outdoor seating in the orchard area between the buildings. We booked with shared bathroom and for each group of four bedrooms, there were three showers and three toilets. The bedrooms and bathrooms were super clean despite being somewhat lacking in character. Breakfast had a limited choice selection but there was plenty available and the breakfast room has nice views of the fjord and town. Recommended.

Some variety in breakfast would be good. Curtain rail seemed about to collapse every time we touched it.

Very quiet room with good blackout curtains which was great for the summer sun. Good bathroom and spacious room with 2 single beds. Shared fridge with two other rooms right outside room and then another also in the shared kitchen. Shared kitchen reasonably well equipped and shared laundry was great. Breakfast is great if you like that being included.

Breakfast is automatically included (and whilst is good) does make the price a bit high, a non breakfast option would be great. Only a tiny freezer in shared kitchen that said only to be used for ice so no option for freezing food here. Limited parking near room that filled up quickly- was quite a walk and would be unpleasant in bad weather. Shared kitchen didn’t have any paper towel or tea towels or cloths so only option was for people to leave wet dishes in drying racks.

good location in the entrance to Songdal - east access to Songdal and surrounding villages like Hafslo, Solvorn, Kaupanger, as well as nearby activities (glacier, hiking, ferries, kayaks). The property had everything we needed - kitchen and laundry facilities, EV charging on site, as well as clean rooms… plus board games available.

the breakfast was sufficient (pancakes were scrumptious), but a little limited with the same basic fare every day.

Mini-fridge and tea kettle in shared area were a pleasant surprise. Room was much larger than the description; I estimate it at approximately 200 square feet. Uphill from the road, with minimal traffic noise. Nice views of the surrounding countryside. Shared kitchen was spacious and useful. Easy walking access to downtown. Plenty of storage shelves and wardrobes.

No USB charging ports. Drywall corner beads are cracked, and need repair. Bathroom sink shelf is slanted; items roll off easily.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The facilities were clean and spacious. Furniture was very basic but in good condition. The breakfast was good and the laundry facilities were a great plus. There was also a big green area with trees and sitting area we really enjoyed.

I wish there was a kettle or a desk in the room, but I have no complains.

It's the friendly hostel by the fjord. The atmosphere in the school, which is used as a hostel during summer break, is welcoming, open and international. Sharing the well equipped kitchen for cooking and eating was fun. The rooms are simple, but have everything that's needed. The common bathrooms and toilets were clean. The team at the reception and the kitchen was very friendly. Breakfast was totally fine for the price.

Everything was up to our expectation.

The room was very big, with a lot of space for storage your clothes and things. The complex have many facilities in good conditions and a lot of space for parking. The bathroom was quite big. Location is very convenient.

The breakfast could be improved, particularly the coffee and the eating options (some more proteins instead of so many sugar food).

Near the fjord and good hiking trails Though shared bathroom and kitchen, the place is sufficient enough if you have things to do during the day and just need a place to sleep. Room big enough for 2 people. Facilities good!!

Check-in, location, and room size are good (we stayed in a room with 2 twin beds). The shared showers and bathrooms were clean.

The breakfast was small - mainly yogurts with muesli / granola. Some of the common equipment (couches in the common spaces), were really old and should be updated.
