The hotel is set in beautiful, historic and picturesque surrounds on the fjord. Our room was very spacious, very comfortable and the bathroom was large, bright and modern. We had the balcony fjord view room with large windows, outdoor seating and a comfortable, large sofa to lounge on to admire the breathtaking view. It was a very nice room. The hotel is close to eateries, supermarkets, electric car recharging station and shopping centre.

There is no coffee or tea provided in the room or no communal coffee station in the lounge so it is not included in the cost of the room. There is no lift. There is no hotel restaurant for dinner.

Breakfast was excellent, regularly replenished, and for a small payment, you could take a picnic from it, plus a thermos- ful of coffee. Location was straight on to the fjord shore, there is a walkway right along this part of the coast, you just go out of the gate behind the hotel.

Parking was difficult. The restaurant did not do evening meals, which we had been hoping for after a long day’s travelling. There is a good restaurant just across the road, though. No lift, I could not have got my case up the stairs on my own.

The location was fabulous. View from our room was spectacular. Parking at the hotel was easy with 4 EV charging stations available. The pool was heated and you could also swim in the fjord from a jetty in front of the hotel. Extra towels were available to use while swimming. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had while travelling staff friendly and helpful. No dinner at hotel but nice restaurant right across the road. Would no hesitate to recommend or stay again.

It was all good

We stayed at this hotel for one night in a room with direct access to the lawn and a private terrace. It was absolutely wonderful. I did my morning workout with a view of the fjord — unforgettable! We slept really well, and the bathroom was recently renovated and in excellent condition. Breakfast is also served in a room with a stunning view of the fjord. It was beautiful in the evening, and just as beautiful in the morning. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

A classic, historic hotel is located right by the water. Beautiful view from the room, swimming pool and the outside terrace for the sunny days. The possibility to take rowing boats is nice.

There wasn’t any cattle or coffee machine in the room. There is no lift - which makes it hard with bigger luggage.

Really cool, historic hotel. The location is incredible - you're overlooking the fjord. The rooms were good, not too spacious but all right, even though it was super hot, it was not that hot in our rooms (but there is no ac). The breakfast was really good, not the best we had in Norway but still really nice

Bar could have a bit more selection

Our room was big and beautiful and all redone! We had a balcony with fabulous views of mountains, fjord, pool and lawn. The bathroom was very large and clean. There was plenty of seating in the room. The hotel was convenient to everything we needed - the waterfront, restaurants, the little mall etc. The breakfast was good.

There was no fridge in the room or safe. We had a fabulous room, but saw that some rooms are tiny. There was plenty of parking but the spaces are narrow.

Fantastic view of the fjord from our room and its balcony, as well as from the dining room and the garden. Very helpful staff. Coffee and a nice breakfast bag when we had to leave at 6.30 AM. Great location as a base for excursions in the area. We went there by bus with some delays and changes, but would recommend the Norled ferry through the fjord, which we used from Sogndal to Bergen.

We would have liked to stay longer but the hotel was fully booked.

Location! Beautiful walk along waterfront. Decent options for dinner in town.

The parking is challenging but its the result of an old historical hotel in.a compact site. It works out, just need to have patience. Also bathroom could use some more space to locate your personal belongings. A luggage rack would be nice.

Absolute exquisite location overlooking the Fjord. Room had been refurbished, especially the bathroom. Breakfast in a spacious dining room was more than adequate.

Seemed to be short-staffed, especially on Reception. Parking was very congested once all guests arrived. Facilities consistent with a 3*.
