The hotel was located in the middle of the village and all the attractions were within walking distance. Hotel breakfast was great. If you came by a car BE CAREFUL AS THE HOTEL PARKING PLACE BELONGS TO THE LOCAL KOMMUNE. So you have to pay for the car park from 8AM to 5PM to a parking machine. For electric car driver, the closest car charge was at the local mall.

The bed was soft and had an extra soft mattress on top. The hotel didn't have an AC system, however, we were lucky and it rained during the evening and the temperature in the room became reasonable for sleeping.

The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. There was a sitting area which was nice. The hotel was very nicely located in the center of town and was great for walking around. Very close to the dock where you can pick up the ferry to Bergen. Close to several restaurants and walking distance to bus stop, which we needed once although we had a car.

The room was very warm. We had to sleep with the windows open in October. Had some difficulty lowering the temperature, but then again, I like sleeping in very cold rooms.

We loved the older feel to this hotel and it makes such a change from the grey minimal look that is global now. It reminded me of when I was young ! The rooms are large enough to have two large old leather armchairs which were so so comfy. The staff were incredibly accomodating. The price is a little higher than normal but includes breakfast and despite having a very early staff they provided a packed breakfast for us to take. A welcome change.

Even though the hotel is not new and the style might seem a bit out of fashion,it is still well kept.I was surprised by how clean it was.I liked that it was possible to regulate temperature in the room/bath but also possible to open the window for fresh air.

Depending on what people are used to,it might feel like the breakfast does not have a big selection of food.Anyway,you find something to eat and not go hungry. It might though be good to have some more selection of coffe -food,but it is not critical

Very helpful person on reception. Clean, good sized room with very comfortable bed, seating and desk. Spacious shower with good pressure. Pleased to have fridge, tea and coffee making facilities in room. That's been rare in Norway hotels for us.

Powdered milk in coffee machine at breakfast. There is some town parking right in front of the hotel but you do have to pay for it during the day except for Sunday.

Well-located hotel in center of town. Good Bkfst, comfortable room except that if in the from of the hotel, loud music and partying - at least on the weekend.

Asked for quiet room and got one facing the small square where party makers were in force half the night. Not the hotels fault as I think all the rooms are subject to external noise.

Good hotel with an old world charm and spacious rooms.. Rooms are probably a bit dated, but decently maintained. Very good location in Sogndal.

Perhaps the breakfast could be improved a bit with better quality of fruits. Also the single coffee machine could not dispense the coffee we wanted. Only hot chocolate was functioning. Parking in front of the hotel is for 8 cars only, and is on Paid basis, except from 5pm to 8pm on weekdays, and free for all hours on Sunday.

The owners are so sweet as well as all of the staff. The breakfast in the mornings is fresh and tasty. We were impressed by the size of the rooms and slept very comfortably there.

The front side of the hotel is quite noisy on weekends from drunk locals walking around to nearby bars. The backside of the hotel was quiet though.

Not really typical country side hotel. The other reviews mentioned they liked the leather interior details and furniture. For me it doesn't give any coziness. It give me some strange vibe of cheap hotel which was try to disguised with leather furniture. But I guess it just me. The breakfast was OK, but not much for my taste. For supper very little choice. (only main dish). Also they say that free parking is available. But this if you get very lucky (hotel yard is only for several cars). Otherwise you have to go and park around hotel in parking for which you have to pay. I think they should note that in advertise as its confusing.

Moreover, there is free parking in front of the hotel from 17:00 until 8:00, adding to the convenience and value of the stay. Overall, Best Western Laegreid Hotell exceeded our expectations, with its cleanliness, stylish interior design, extensive breakfast options, and convenient amenities. We would gladly choose this hotel again in the future. For a well-maintained hotel with a touch of American flair, this is an excellent choice.
