What really stood out during my stay was the incredibly friendly and polite staff — they were always smiling, very cooperative, and made the experience feel genuinely warm and welcoming. The location is another highlight: absolutely stunning, right next to the fjord, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. It’s a perfect spot to unwind. There are also supermarkets and a gas station nearby, which was super convenient. Breakfast served at the hotel was great too. If you’ve made it this far in Norway and just want to relax and enjoy the greenery, this hotel is definitely a great choice.

The room is quite small, so if you’re traveling with more than two medium-sized suitcases, you might find it a bit tight when trying to open or organize your luggage. There aren’t any extra amenities in the room — no mini fridge, kettle, or extras — just the basic essentials: a bed and bathroom. That said, this wasn’t an issue for me, as the hotel clearly listed these details in the description when I booked, so I came prepared, just wasn't expecting the room to be this small.

Loved the outside area, you could eat breakfast in the garden or jump in the fjord directly. The room had a balcony and seemd new. Lots of room and just very nice. Nice breakfast. Loved the flowers outside the hotels windows/balconies.

The things I did not like, I cant really blame on the hotel: -its HOT these days. No aircon- no fans. Its just so hot the sleep is not any good. -It was a bit noisy for us, since we had to have the balcony door open (due to heat).cars, people, parking lot, and so on.

Location was perfect for us, halfway between Flam and its impressive viewpoint, and Olden, which was our stop next day. It is right in the middle of the Fjord of Dreams, with a lovely view from the room I booked. The room had an adequate size, modern furniture and some space for luggage. It was properly heated, something that I appreciated, because it was 10 degrees outside in August. Breakfast was excellent and very quiet in the time we chose. And buffet dinner was quite a surprise for us, and good value for money, taking into account that we are in Norway. Besides, it was a dinner with a view to the fjord, something very relaxing, which made our night.

The hotel is in a dated building, but the interior was comfortable. The rooms were spacious and we had a nice terrace. The breakfast was ok (though not much fruit selection). We also tried the dinner buffet, as it was one of the only restaurants open in town and it was adequate.

There is no fridge in the room, which meant we had to throw out some food we had with us on the roadtrip.

The location is absolutely stunning and the outdoor seating is so nice. Get a room with the Fjord View for the best value!

Breakfast selection could be improved to add more vegetarian/vegan options

This hotel is all about the view, make sure you have a fjord view room. All the rest is very basic and way overpriced

Very basic hotel, terrible coffee at breakfast. As there was no fridge in the room, we asked the reception to put the food to the fridge and planned to get in the morning. But in the morning the receptionist couldn’t find it, apparently it was thrown away. It was a whole bag of good stuff and groceries are very expensive in Norway. The hotel could offer something from their kitchen instead, but didn’t. This was disappointing. We had a whole day planned with a hike and had to spend time and money for grocery shopping.

We had a room with a balcony in new part facing fjord. I would say it was perfect also in terms of cleaning (which is a rear note from me).

I would suggest sending information on dinner availibility in the restaurant in advance so that guesta would not arrive having it elswhere where it was not so good as yours.

Breakfast was good so with the buffet dinner, have a lots of foods to choose . It's also nice ro bring some drinks or coffe outside from the restaurant and enjoy the scenery of the lagoon and the stone walls.

Our room located in the side of the road, it was noisy from the cars passed by , but it was quite middle of the night. It was fully booked that time so we have no chance to transfer other room.

Excellent customer service; warm and friendly interactions. We arrived quite late so they advised us to go straight through to dinner first and then complete check in. Dinner was the best buffet we had had in Norway. Good sized room and balcony. Very relaxing vibe. Happy to recommend 😊

The receptionist was very attentive and helpful - he finally gave us an up-grade after some problems in our first room.

In our first room one of the windows didn't open and our personal water heater made the electricity of the room break down, so we couldn't use it any more. That happened in no other hotel on our trip through Norway.
