I enjoyed my 2-night stay at Cochs Pensjonat very much. The reception staff was superb, especially the young woman who checked me in hours before formal check-in started. I asked for a room that was as quiet as possible and the room I was allocated fitted that description very well. The Pensjonat is quite large and is in a heritage building but the quality of the modernisation is superb. It is in a convenient location 10 minutes by tram from Oslo Sentral station. As an unexpected bonus, my room also had a sofa, a table (which could double as a desk) and 2 chairs. And it had a great view of the locality.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious, the bed comfy, good blackout curtains. The next bus stop was only 3 minutes away. A big beautiful park was around the corner. Interesting shops and bakery and supermarket close by. The staff was helpful and friendly. I certainly appreciated the lift as my room was on the 4th floor. I can recommend the Pensjonat wholeheartedly.

I wasn't aware that there weren't any cutlery, pots, plates, cups in the room. They needed to be picked up at reception. No kettle for water heating. But pot could be used for that of course. 😁

The room was large and very clean; the beds were super comfortable. It was very nice to have a small kitchenette in the room. The location was absolutely ideal--easy to walk to some locations, and convenient public transportation when we needed it. The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the history of the building.

We could have used more electrical outlets. We rented two rooms--one had only one outlet outside of the bathroom. The other had more, but they were not conveniently located. It is an older building, so there may not be an easy solution.

We really liked it here! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful and went the extra mile to meet our requests even before we arrived, so we felt very safe and welcome! The kitchen unit is very useful and we really enjoyed the free coffee. Once the coffee machine stopped working, but the staff immediately helped and were competent to repair it. In general, the staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful at any time and they always tried their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. So if you need anything, just talk to them, they all are amazing people and super nice. :) The location is amazing, there are many points of interests you can reach by foot, and even if you don't want to walk, there is a tram station nearby that's served by quite a few lines. If you want to go shopping, there are many options within reach (even for grocery shopping), and there's a cafe right next to the hotel as well. So I really can't think of anything that's missing. The area itself is lively, but still quiet at night (except for Fridays, but it still was okay). No matter what time of day it was, we always felt very safe and comfortable, which made our stay absolutely enjoyable! :)

The windows were a bit hard to open, but I guess that's due to the age of the building. The facilities could be more modern, but everything was fully functional and clean, so actually there's nothing to really complain about.

Location and facilities are best. Staff were super supportive and overall they are very much customer oriented. They also helped with before and after check in check out with luggage storage rooms. It helps a lot. Very good experience and we definitely recommend and come back again 😊👍

They do have all kitchen utensils needed for self catering. But it would have been perfect if they have some basic kitchen stuffs like salt, sugar, oil.. But I can say staff is very cooperative and we did not face any problems.

I have stayed here quite a few times and normally I love it. On this occasion everything was good except the check-in.

There is a front desk here that is manned at all hours I have ever been awake, so I'm not sure why they would need to know the exact time you are going to arrive. What is more we were liable on our card for our first night, so they were going to have our money whatever happened. Anyway, I got a call when we did not turn up at just the right time (I had thought we were just giving an indicative time, and still don't know why all the inconvenience was necessary). We changed our plans because of this, and came over to check-in (thus reducing the value of booking here vs. other options where you have to do a rendez-vous). The effect of this was that we missed dinner. We were not at all impressed.

CHARMING HOTEL. PRICE WAS VERY GOOD. BEST WAS BEING ABLE TO WALK THRU PALACE GROUNDS TO GET TO THE MORE CENTRAL AREA OF THE CITY. AND BUS CONNECTION WAS ALSO VERY GOOD. SMALL ROOM BUT THEY HAD A TV/LOUNGE ROOM WHERE YOU CAN CHILL. GUY AT FRONT DESK WAS LOVELY AND KNOWLEDGABLE.

ROOM WAS SMALL, BUT WE HAD OPTED FOR A SMALLER ROOM. BATHROOM WAS VERY SMALL AND NOT PARTICULARLY WELL EQUIPED - SOAP, ONLY ONE LARGER TOWEL PROVIDED. WOULD BE INCE IF THERE WERE SOME HOOKS.

Nice staff, much of the old style kept, but rooms somewhat modernised. Place is right next to a 27/7 store and two cafés where one can get breakfast. A few restaurants right nearby. Cooking facilities as one might expect. Pretty quiet neighbourhood, and very close to a really nice park.

Getting there requires either public transportation or a fair bit of walking. Makes more sense for longer stays in winter. TV was tiny. Not that I use TV much, but it's mostly suitable for watching news.

The hotel was in a great location and walking distance to most attractions, and only a 10 minute walk from the National Theatre train station. The staff on check in couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Our room was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. What we loved was that there is a free coffee machine on the second floor with a microwave and vending machine with microwave meals in it. This was not advertised anywhere when we booked, and was a very happy bonus for us. The hotel also has a TV room where you can sit and relax, and also use after check out. They do also allow you to store your luggage there after check out too. We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it.

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like, everything was perfect!

The house is very nice. Rooms are clean and neutral. Ours had a kitchenette, table with 4 chairs and balcony. I like the concept that kitchen ware can be borrowed from reception, as this ensures cleanliness of the items. Free coffee and hot cocoa from vending machine. We could store our luggage, which was nice. Staff is very friendly. Nice cafes, restaurants and shopping street nearby.

Only shower gel provided in the shower. Shampoo would have been nice.
