Breakfast is exceptionally fine. The room was comfortable and well designed. Good lighting. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent location right in the centre of town. Easy access to the Airport train and all public transport.

The communal / lounge area / bar is open to the public, and was very noisy and an unpleasant place to sit most of the day. Would be nice with a separate lounge/bar for residents. Our room was on the 4th floor, and was noisy with the trams running outside and sirens. Last time I stayed here I was on the 6th Floor, which was much quieter. The showerhead in the bathroom needs attention.

Spacious and clean room with firm mattress and comfy duvet. Very nice and friendly receptionists - offered to help carrying the luggage; brought the food delivery I ordered from Wolt to my room). Also asked for feedback when I checked out. Decent breakfast - my favourite are there are fresh fruits (e.g. passion fruits) to choose from, and they’d give you a pot of coffee.

No sauna or pools, but that’s ok. There’s a gym but I didn’t go. The double bed is actually two single beds put together - and there are two single-sized duvets instead of a double-sized one. But that wasn’t horrible either. The waiters at the breakfast would come and collect the plates before I finished it - kind of caught me by surprise.

This hotel could be compared to the Fairmont of North America...it is class and well run. All staff spoke excellent English and were more than happy to help. The hotel was clean and well put together. We had a deluxe room, which was wonderful, quiet, spacious. I would have loved a bigger bath, but that is minor. Breakfast was amazing, lots to choose from, either buffet or order. I'm going to stay here again

We did eat at Eik and had room service from Theatercafeen. The food was great, especially our room service from Theatercafeen, phenomenal. I can't say the same of Eik. We sat by a coat rack and we were sometimes forgotten. The food was good, but not necessarily exceptional.

We booked this expecting it to be a nice hotel, but only when we met up with a friend who's an Oslo local did we find out that it is considered the best hotel in the city. It's easy to understand why. Luxury without pretention, excellent service, the best beds we had on our entire trip through Norway. It was a hotel we actually looked forward to co9ming "home" to each day. The breakfast really was exceptional. It was simply on point and current in every single respect, which is not typical of "institution" type hotels that often rely on their reputation. To top it off, the location was perfect. Flawless.

Normally I can find one or two things that could be better, but in this case, there really were no faults. Definitely our favourite hotel in Norway, and one of the best we've stayed at in the world.

Location was perfect. Tram and bus stops in front. Can walk to many major attractions. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Also very near port making it ideal for a pre or post cruise stay.

No air condition, and although temperature was perfect, we had a location at the front and if windows were open you can hear street noises until 4 am 😢

The breakfasts were outstanding and the service was excellent. We were in a medium sized king room, 31m2 but it was so well designed it felt larger. Watchout for tourists arriving in Oslo, do not take a tax, the rates are un regulated. We paid $60 for a 10 minute tax from the train station, one of our hotel guests paid over $300 from the airport. Use uber or take the train which is super efficient from the airport to central Oslo.

Great stay at this hotel. Room was very nice. Location was very central. Staff were brilliant. The breakfast was very good. In particular, we were very late arriving on our first night and that was no problem, and they gave us late check out on our last day as our flight was early evening.

Because of the central location it can be a little noisy (especially from the tram). Water pressure in the shower could have been better (though that wouldn’t have worked with the open shower). These are minor quibbles though. Overall the stay was GREAT and we would DEFINITELY consider staying again at the Hotel Continental if we’re back in Oslo in the future.

Most comfortable beds I've slept in at a hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially at breakfast. The continental breakfast was outstanding. Great location, extremely easy to get to from the airport.

I wish the rooms could accommodate families a little better. We were forced to get two rooms, which ended up being cheaper than one that would fit the three of us.

Hotel Continental was a superb hotel, the staff were amazing and the bedroom was wonderful all our needs were met. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous with a lovely selection of hot food, fruit, and pastries and more. The hotel was close to everything we needed to do and we felt very safe in Oslo, people here are very friendly and are all well educated in speaking english so don't be afraid like myself not being able to speak Norwegian. Well done Hotel Continental for our fabulous vacation, we will return one day to this beautiful country.

Excellent breakfast, location, and helpful staff. Enjoyed seeing the Oslo elite in the lobby and the bar. We absolutely recommend this hotel for the quality of service. The junior suite was excellent.

We hate the European style bedding of a heavy duvet. This is not specific to this hotel. It’s so hot! We like top sheets and and a thin cotton cover. Also the small shower didn’t have a footrest so it’s very difficult to shave legs or wash feet. However they’re a lovely bathtub.
