Excellent hotel, with central location. Great breakfast. Rooms are small, but per the area in property description. Amazingly helpful staff Ms. Tuva at Front desk. I forgot my phone in a taxi while getting out at the hotel at night. Ms. Tuva immediately called the largest taxi company in Oslo - Oslo Taxi. She took the time and explained the situation - including Taxi drop-off location, pickup location, Fare, drop-off time, taxi description, phone model, phone type, traveller description. Oslo Taxi said it was not their taxi. But, they, Oslo Taxi informed other taxi companies. Early next morning, The taxi driver Mr. Zansheer found my phone under the seat and drove back there, returned my phone to the hotel. Norwegian hospitality and honesty demonstrated at its best. Truly Norway is an Amazing country, with citizens like Ms. Tuva and Mr. Zansheer.

We didn't know about the student discount, or the free breakfast when booking through the hotel's own website. We only learned about it after paying. Bummer.

Conveniently located, no fuss hotel with kind staff and decent breakfast. The bathroom is nice and big, barely smaller than the room itself. Comfortable lobby.

On arrival the online key pickup process wanted me to pay again for the room, no matter what I tried. Staff were able to resolve it but no explanation given why this happened. The superior room is only relatively superior: it’s tiny and awkwardly arranged. The lifts are perhaps undersized for the number of floors and rooms, I had to wait for it quite often.

Excellent location. Super easy walk from train station which also made easy to take AirPort Express train. Walking distance to most things. Liked the price! Stylish. Delicious breakfast buffet that can be added. Fun community hang out area with shuffle board. Room was small as described/expected but everything I needed.

Some place for suitcase/clothes or pull out table for packing. Like maybe under the bed? Or it has such high ceilings, maybe something from ceiling or some sort of loft. I knew from description it was small but since it was my last night in Norway I needed to repack suitcase, which I guess the bed worked fine. It was also very hot in the room, but I think I was there during unusually warm weather. They did give me a fan but some way to cool down room would be nice.

The hotel is located in an excellent location in central Oslo, within walking distance of many attractions and 4 minute tram ride of the central train station. The two sculpture parks are only a 10 minute tram ride away. The room was clean and as advertised and the staff were very friendly. The Breakfast was good value for money (not included in booking price). Lastly as a member of the Diaspora it was great to see the staff openly celebrating 17 Mai.

There were some slight scuff marks on the bathroom door which could've been painted over, also slightly disappointing in the absence of Lefse and rømmegrøt from the breakfast menu. It could also be made clearer that Breakfast isn't included in the booking price.

Breakfast provided by hotel were amazing! We were very lucky and were just in time for a deal (breakfast for 99 NOK per person), so knowing how expensive is food in Norway, breakfast was amazing price - performance. Also location - superb. Everything is close and everything is walking distance away. + points for super super comfortable bed. Room was clean. Loved that I can turn on the room warmer, since the nights were a bit chilly. Black out curtains were amazing, not a single ray of sunshine got thru them.

As stated in other reviews, room was extremely small, however that was to be expected. When upper floors flushed their toilets, there was "gurgling" in our shower accompanied with a bad smell. We never bought this issue up, so no idea if it would be dealt accordingly. One tiny tiny trashcan in bathroom, would have hoped for a bigger one. Pretty noisy and doors are not soundproof. Could hear every single move in a hallway.

This is an excellent choice for a stay in Oslo! The rooms themselves are fairly small, but not significantly so for staying in the city, and the rest of the amenities more than make up for it. Excellent breakfast spread as well as grab and go lunch options, very friendly staff willing to answer questions, and a centralized location that's still off the main drag so manages not to be completely overcrowded while still close to major sites. Room was very clean and the option for a smart TV was a nice perk to relax after a day scurrying around. Common areas were clean and large - I saw many people hanging out, though I never ended up using them. Check-in process is self-check in which was super nice - it was also very easy to add on an early check-in, which I needed since my travel plans changed and I ended up in the city earlier than expected. Especially for the price, which to my knowledge is on the lower end of Oslo hotels, this is a great option.

Smarthotel Oslo is located in the center of the city just around the corner from the History Museum and just 500 meters from the National Theater metro and train station. The rooms are small, but clean and functional with good Wi-Fi. The hotel has a relaxed digital nomad vibe with work spaces, coffee and beer. I enjoyed my stay at Smarthotel and do recommend it for a short stay in Oslo. Travel tip: I ordered the excellent breakfast in advance via the online check-in and paid just 95 kroner per day. Otherwise, I believe the same day price is listed as 195-250 kroner.

Claustrophobiaaaaaahhhhh. The mini double room is not suitable for two adults! Great for a single person. Luckily the window opens which helps. Personally I found the bed so soft I had to sleep on the (skinny) floor on the second night as I was developing back pain which is not something I ever have. Location great and the friendly guy at reception was excellent. He recommended a place to eat just around the corner called Tullins Cafe which was pretty reasonable for Oslo (talking about a city which is over $35 AUD for two beers). Cosy little place with great food. Fantastic breakfast buffet full of organic, biodynamic, whole grains etc which was on special for 99 NOK.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Rooms were clean and well prepared. Plenty of hot water and the sheets and towels were of decent quality. Breakfast was excellent. Location was good - not central but close enough to be writing reasonable walking distance of most places and close to good team and bus links. It was quiet and affordable.

The small rooms are small and we chose to upgrade - at a reasonable cost. Whilst the rooms are perfectly satisfactory, they are relatively basic - but that is what you are paying for. It is very good value for money.
