Good position, good breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Good sized rooms and bathrooms.

The hotels policy for children (12)varied from booking.com (17). Caused a few issues checking in and for breakfast although it was quickly resolved at no extra cost. The duvet covers were also inside out and a contact lens found on the floor of the bathroom so not swept previously but room and bathroom still looked clean.

- Excellent location! Close to the city centre, the Royal Palace and the ferry boat port. - Comfortable beds, large room with a fridge and a cattle. Quiet rooms (ours was facing the inner breakfast area in the middle of the building, but no sounds could be heard). - Excellent staff in the breakfast area!!! Especially Dragana, who was helpful and very polite! - Great breakfast! Variety of food offered. The best scrabled eggs I had in my life.

- The main issue during our stay: the AC temperature in rooms cannot be adjusted; 20 degrees C is freezing for us guests from the southern EU countries!!! This should be changed because not all guests like (or even tolerate) sleeping in air-conditioned rooms. The same goes for the pretty low temperature in the common areas (we did get used to this after several days, but still.) - A minor remark, if I may: no oranges to make freshly squeezed orange juice (but I hear that they are usually not offered in Norwegian hotels).

This is our second visit to the Scandic Victoria. In the first we were given a bath shower. I'm not keen on these so I requested a walk in shower for our next visit. And guess what, they provided a room with a walk in shower. Thank you Scandic Victoria. As I said before great staff, (a special thanks to Elizabeth on reception), excellent breakfast, very comfortable beds and placed just off the harbour frontage. It's a number 12 tram from the central station to Kontraskjaeret stop, 22 Krone for a senior. There are lots of places to drink and eat within a very short distance but we liked Amundsen, Bryggeri and Spiseri for a drink and their bangers and mash are amazing. We would happily stay again in this hotel. When visiting make sure you go to the sculpture park it is free so be careful of some sites selling tickets for 100NOK!

👎🏻 - when we arrived, we got told that the hotel is overbooked and there would be no room available for us. it was a shame because I paid in advance, even if you don't have to, to prevent that from happening. 👍🏻 - the person at the reception handled the situation well. he called us a taxi which the hotel paid for, and got a room at another hotel from this chain (st. olavs plass). we didn't book breakfast but they added it for us for free as a reimbursement. - the breakfast buffet had a big variety with enough food for everyone. it had the right temperature for each dish and tasted very good. - the room was very clean and comfortable, I felt safe in it. - the bathroom was nice, had towels as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, and didn't feel cold after coming out of the shower. overall a very good experience that I'd recommend :)

Great location, comfortable bed. The breakfast was the best I have ever had as an included breakfast with your room stay!

The room was quite small so there was not anywhere to place your clothes or luggage. But the outstanding breakfast made up for lack of room space! There were some teenage girls running back and forth knocking on our room door then running away! Quite annoying, there is not a phone in the room so we could not call down to the desk to report it. It was around midnight so we were in bed trying to sleep.

The location to the city centre and the harbour was splendid. The breakfast was really really good and the possibility to take a lunch box was a very good and welcome possibility. Clean rooms with all facilities available.

The power cord of the water cooker was a bit too short; sockets close to the ground and the table/desk with a normal height. We had to be a bit inventive. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain. We saw umbrellas of other hotels in the city centre but the hotel had no spare umbrellas available. Very narrow and pricey underground parking lot.

Great, modern and clean hotel close to everything. Fantastic breakfast buffet.

The town hall was just beside the hotel and every hour between 7 am and midnight the bells played a loud and long piece of music. Very loud and impossible to sleep through, I bought earplugs but they were very uncomfortable to sleep with. Every 15 minutes the bells also rang out. This is not the hotels fault but if you are sensitive to sound and need your sleep this isn’t a hotel for you!

Modern hotel. Nice comfortable room, good location in the city center. Great breakfast buffet.

The soap dispenser (body & hair) was empty upon our arrival. The lcd display of the airco was broken. It was not possible to adjust the airco. There was coffee and thee in the room, but just 1 coffee mug. When we notified the reception about this, we were told to go to the second floor and take a second coffee mug from the breakfast room ourselves. (Service??)

Good breakfast and excellent location. The room was a good size, and the bed was comfortable.

It was very noisy at night. Church bells go off every 15 minutes between 7am and midnight. I could hear a lot of noise from people on the street each night. There didn't appear to be much soundproofing as I could hear someone coughing through the wall in the next room. The water pressure was non-existant one day, I reported this to staff who advised that this happens sometimes and there was nothing they could do.

Staff went above and beyond - even got me a tea pot and milk for room

Not really a hotel issue but could make improvements - the room was on the 9th floor and on the same side as the town hall which meant the rather long chimes lasting over 7 mins per hour which woke me up at 11pm and midnight!. This is could be improved by double glazing the velux windows on that side of the hotel (they were only single glazed).
