Nice big new hotel in a small town. In the city center, at the bay. Traditional beer house with a super tasty wale stew and national cod dish (prices do not bite) in the next house. Go there instead of the hotel restaurant (prices not so friendly) for a lunch or dinner. Competent staff, nice spacey room, tasty breakfast, free parking. Red carpet at the entrance - that was an unexpected surprise for my wife :) Also the strange but interesting museum is nearby: they built a new building for the standard somewhat older passenger ship. According to my point of view, it would had been better and cheaper (with same positive emotions) to demonstrate this vessel simply in some port.

On the expensive site :(, but otherwise the impressions are superb. No fridge in the room.

We liked pretty much everything - the hotel is stylish and modern, we had a room with sea view. It was a midnight sun season, but it was possible to make the room absolutely dark when needed. Shower was also nice. Breakfast was diverse and tasty. There is a nice pub with relatively cheap food (for Norwegian standards) in the building right next to the hotel. There are also supermarkets and a museum in 1 minute walking distance. The hotel has parking with EV chargers. Just amazing!

Just 1 small thing - the blanket was too hot, no matter the room temperature, it was always hot to sleep. But otherwise, it's a very comfortable bed and better when it's too hot than too cold.

Pet friendly atmosphere, excellent breakfast, super nice staffs, and convenient location. The room was prepared with 2 bowls for our dog which made us feel they really care and welcome our dog. Our dog felt very happy here which doesn't always happened. Our room had a view over pier and bridge. The location was great for exploring both Lofoten and Vesteralen. We felt Vesteralen is much more pleasant to explore than overcrowded Lofoten. The breakfast offered plenty of choices. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The interior design of the room was stylish and yet functional. A lot of little details were well thought of, especially the lighting design.

The breakfast coffee is too light for my liking. The one from thermo is a bit better but still quite light.

Best hotel we have stayed at in over 2 weeks in Norway. Perfect location, unique public spaces and lobby, nice crisp big rooms c/w great views, luxurious linen, and nice staff. Ate at restaurant and all of said very good meal. The buffet breakfast was the best hotel breakfast my wife and I have ever had.

We usually order glasses of wine with dinner, even in Norway, but the restaurant here did not have any wine at a reasonable price so we skipped it with our meal.

Very beautiful hotel, probably one of the best hotels I have stayed so far and definitely the best one in Norway so far. Innovative, new, stylish. Spacious room and you get a lot for the price. Nice breakfast. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back again.

Maybe it would be nice to have the breakfast opening times displayed in the room. I forgot the times upon checking-in and was hoping to find it in the room. But it’s a small thing.

Stokmarknes has few eating options and the hotel is very expensive for meals with limited menu. Needs a cafe style menu as well as upscale restaurant offer. We were possibly unlucky but our room was uncomfortably hot (24 degrees) despite staff’s best endeavours to overide the system.

I booked a suite with private balcony for one night on July 19, 2025. The view from the balcony is spectacular! The room is spacious and is well quipped with all the facilities you need. The breakfast has a lot of choices. It's a little bit expensive, but it is definitely the best hotel that I stayed during the trip to Norway in July 2025.

The location was excellent, just a short walk from the port and very near Hurtigruten Museum, a great little pub and a sauna in the sea.

The information on the TV and having to scan different QR codes for different things. Just have the information in a book or all on the TV screen. Why should we have to load it on our phones and then depend on the speed or not of WiFi?

The building, the rooms, the location and most of the staff were superb.

We were encouraged to book to have dinner one night and we asked if being vegan would be OK. We were assured it would and there are not so many other places to eat out in Stockmarknes. It turned out that most of the menu was not vegan or adaptable either. A lot of this without this et. This was not dealt with so well by our server. We had to leave and try our luck elsewhere. We tried to book to use the floating sauna, it proved impossible as we are from the UK (no country option in the menu at the paying stage!) In the end the receptionist had to pay and we had to get cash for her.

Fantastic value for a great hotel. The biggest surprise was that the advertised parking was free and did actually exist. It is next to the hotel building and is only metres from the front door. This is so rare on Booking.com properties, which almost in all cases advertise parking but it actually turns out to be hundreds of metres away or requires additional payment.
