location between airport and old town. Friendly and helpful staff speaking good English with sense of humour. Close to good places to eat and get coffee. Good AC. Taxi seems to be the main way to travel in Muscat. Taxi into old Muscat 4 OMR but use online service with app eg: Otaxi.

Taxi booked through booking.com very expensive at 25 OMR or more. You get meet and greet, but it is much cheaper to get SIM at airport and down load local taxi App. eg: Otaxi. Taxi is tracked and will arrive within a few minutes. Similarly taxi ranks in town are 2-3 times more than taxi App.

We arrived early after an overnight flight and came to drop our bags off expecting to have to return later to check in, but the receptionist could see how tired we were and offered us access to our rooms early. I don't remember the receptionists name, but he was an Indian young man and should be commended for his standard of customer care. Similarly the other Indian gentleman who was our porter and general staff member, couldn't be more courteous and helpful. Hotel is also clean, pleasant, nice breakfast, good gym, nice pool area

The spare mattress for the extra child in our room was a little hard

I have stayed at the hotel before. I like the fact that the hotel is extremely clean. They have some men from Nepal cleaning, they have worked there for years. Excellent cleaning. Also the people at reception is very helpful. Tauheed allowed me to check out at 8pm due to a late flight. No charge. They also upgraded the restaurant and the service is a great deal better.

The TV channels don't cater for Western people. Can't really watch the news .

The receptionist, whose name is Osama, lacks tact and skill in dealing with customers. I went to him to pay the price of the room, and he did not have the opportunity to return the rest of the money. Location is easy to find, Breakfast has very limited choice I ordered as per my choice and got that.

Curtains are very light, and early morning full sunshine in my room. Please have the Dark or Strong curtains in the room.

I enjoyed everything during my stay at Al Maha. The check-in was very smooth, the staff was extremely friendly and helpfull and the location was good as well. It was clean and well managed.

Everything is perfect

This property offers good value for money. The location is not bad and the rooms are comfortable and modern. There are shops and restaurants walking distance and the malls and other attractions are easily reached by taxi.

There is no TV guide, and even the receptionist did not know if there were English channels available. The wifi worked well though.

The hotel is well located in the heart of Muscat. Staff are doing excellent job. I would like to recommend the following for the prayers room : 1. Add a plastic mat in the washing area (Wado), because it's very slippery at the moment. 2. Add a prayers timing clock in the prayers room. 3. Add a door closer to the main door entering the prayers room.
