I stayed for three nights. There are local shops and restaurants nearby, but nothing fancy. Which was fine with me. Staff is friendly and gym and rooftop swimming pool is great for the hotel price range. As I have rented a car for the time of my stay I was flexible where to go. If you order a taxi via OTAXI or Yango (the Omani equivalent to Uber or Bolt) then don’t use the Hotel destination for pickup as they offer you only luxurious transport options. Set the pickup pin nearby and you get all the cheaper options.

The outdoor cafe area could see more love. Bright lights in the evening make it very uncomfortable.

A lovely hotel! It is about 15 minutes from the airport and easy to get most places from here. The breakfast was incredible, rooms comfortable, and staff were very kind. We also ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was great, like Arabic/Italian vines. Our only complaint was the parking! There is side street parking that is not proper (slanted and not marked) or underground parking that is through a car lift. We were in a huge 4x4 rental car and didn’t feel comfortable taking the lift so we opted for the street parking, but the next morning, we couldn’t get out 😡 Took two hours and many kind hotel staff and nearby taxi/tour guides help to get out of our parking spot. Pool is heated, and good gym. Beds, shower and room overall are comfortable and the shower has good pressure. Blow dryer, slippers and robe upon request. I found everything spotless clean and wifi worked perfectly as I am remote working. I didn't try the breakfast. Staff is also attentive.

It's not really close to any of the tourist attractions within walking distance. By car/taxi everything is close. If you order a taxi, use the Otaxi app, much cheaper than getting a cab around. The restaurant is pricey because they add tourist and municipality tax that restaurants outside hotels are not required to include.

There is a slight misunderstanding with the taxi process. If you are in the hotel do not call a taxi from an outside company as this can cause problems. Hotels have thier very own cab service which is advised. If you want to call Yango or Oxtaxi call it from a different location not near the hotel otherwise it will cause some problems

Perfect location as all the shops and shopping Mall was within walking distance. Especially if you like shopping like shipping. Only issue is that one has to cross a busy road, but it is safe and drivers will stop to let you across. The area was fairly clean, it is an old city and cannot be compared to the Emirates. Breakfast was very good, plenty to chose from. The swimming pool was excellent as it was heated and open all day. Staff was excellent and only too keen to help. The room was large, with a sitting room and two TVs. Wifi was excellent. It is cheaper to book your own taxi to the Airport rather than the hotel one. Omanis are very kind and humble people.

Nothing to complain about.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights at the beginning and two nights at the end of our Oman tour. The hotel is well-located, with many restaurants and stores nearby. It has a heated pool that the kids enjoyed, and the rooms and staff were nice. Habib at the reception was very helpful. Coffee and dates are offered all day long in the lobby, and there's a small tent, likely for photos, that the kids loved detouring into almost every time we went in and out. Breakfast was good with lots of options, and parking was included in the reservation. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable visit in Muscat

It was dirty under the bed. We also found a needle under the bed which was dangerous for my toddler.

The manager (Mr Nelson) who made us feel unwelcome while checking in for the 3rd time in a week. He was rude to us and wasn't able to give us rooms the rooms that we asked for.

We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Ramada Encore by Wyndham Muscat Al-Ghubra. The hotel is located in a prime area of Muscat, just minutes away from Oman Avenues Mall, restaurants, and supermarkets, and within easy reach of key landmarks like the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the beachfront. It’s also quite close to the airport, which made our arrival and departure very convenient. The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of our stay—plentiful, fresh, and with a good variety to suit both local and international tastes. From fruits, cereals, and pastries to hot dishes and fresh juices, there was something for everyone. A special mention to the staff, who were incredibly warm, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. Their welcoming attitude and eagerness to help made us feel truly taken care of. Overall, Ramada Encore Muscat offers great value, modern comfort, and fantastic service in a superb location. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Muscat—whether for business or leisure!
