Hotel location was really good- close to many restaurants and supermarkets. Breakfast was delicious- a lot of variety everyday and the breakfast staff were quick to refill and clear away. The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom had good water pressure and the soap/shampoo/lotion smelled lovely. The middle aged Indian gentleman and the younger Indian gentleman at night in reception were excellent and helpful. Housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the rooms.

We originally requested 2 rooms close together and the hotel was able to accommodate us. However one of the rooms (507) had a very bad smell coming from the bathroom- it smelled like rotting sewage. We asked to change rooms but were told simply that it is not possible and instead somebody would come to spray air freshener. The room smelled so bad that after 2 days all the clothes also developed a bad smell. We were told two days in a row that it was not possible to change rooms as the hotel was full. On the 3rd day we asked again and this time the middle aged Indian gentleman was able to help us finally get a new room, which smelled fine. The other room was fine and did not smell bad. The bathrooms could also benefit from stronger ventilation.

Everything good. Staff was very helpful. Location is a 15 minute walk to the Al-Ghubrah beach, to the Avenues Mall, to Sultan Qaboos Mosque. It is also in a busy commercial area with lots inexpensive restaurants. The buffet breakfast was also excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. WiFi and hot water were working well. I had a very late flight leaving at 11pm, and checked out early in the morning to spend the whole day on a tour before coming back to the hotel around 6pm. The staff allowed me to shower in the gym bathroom before heading to the airport, which was very kind of them.

Personnel. After checking out of the hotel (January 5, 2024), my friend remembered that she had left a T-shirt in the room. In the evening of the same day, I wrote to the hotel on WhatsApp. And then the nightmare began. They did not respond to messages and had to write to them again. After that, they replied and promised to check the room and did not return with an answer. I had to write to them again and again they promised to check and did not respond. After my question why they don't answer, they say they need to check and disappear again. As a result, on the fourth day after my next question why they didn't answer, they said they hadn't found the T-shirt. They also did not respond to an email with a request.

The hotel was very nice, clean and the staff was very good. If I go to Muscat again, I will choose this hotel again.

There were no slippers in the room, I think there should be slippers in such a nice hotel. Muscat is a hot country, there should be 1.5 litres of water in the room. This is how it happens in other hotels. But here there was only 0.5 litres of water. The breakfast variety was small, it could have been a little better. The currency in the hotel is very very expensive. I think this is not normal

The room was huge with a comfy bed, and the staff were super nice at the reception, restaurant and cleaning service, particularly Harrison, from room service. Since he speaks English as his native language, it was refreshing to exchange more than a few words after solo travelling for so long in the Arabian Peninsula. He made sure I always had water to drink. Thanks, Harry!

I didn't like the area too much. I felt safe, but there's no good sidewalks, though that may be a common thing in most of the city, and at night it's super dark, so I fell while coming back from the nearby supermarket. It's also very far away from everything, but that's another common thing in Mascate, which is super spread out, reminding me in a not so pleasing way of the American cities...

Affordable in-room dining options, cleanliness of the rooms, the morning shift reception staff, the professionalism and eagerness of everyone to assist me.

The noisy construction happening shortly during the day. The AC was directly blowing on my head regardless of the swing selection, which made me sleep upside down with my head on the feet side instead. The TV channels did not worked during my entire stay, and they advised me to use the You Tube instead. The reception staff that is working during the late afternoon during my stay. They are not really approachable and doesn't smile. During my check-in, the staff was not informed that my room is already pre-paid, and I got uncomfortable looks.

The Muscat Express Hotel was comfortable and conveniently located near supermarkets and restaurants. It was easy to get a taxi from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to other places. The hotel staff were very helpful, and even arranged a Muscat city tour for me at short notice. The hotel breakfast was excellent for a vegetarian like me. The room didn't have a hair dryer and had to ask for it at the front desk. Some of the hand rails in the bathroom were rusty and unappealing. Overall, this hotel is a good value for he money, and I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would recommend it.

The family room in the hotel is large, clean and comfortable. The staff is very nice and helpful. We arrived in the morning and get the room without paying for the early check-in.

The breakfast area is pretty small and can get crowded at the peak brekfast hours.

Excellent price/quality ratio! The room stayed cool even after turning off the A/C, it was very nice and functional, with large bathroom, very large and very comfortable king bed (I often have back pain so a good bed is very important!), kettle with good basic amenities. And above all everything it was very clean. The staff is young, friendly and attentive to every need or request. Great location for visiting Muscat, 15 minutes from the airport and about 20 minutes from the Corniche and the Souq (we had a rental car), it was never a problem to find parking in front of the hotel. Abundant and rich breakfast. I read from other reviews that some people complain about a lack in the “sweet” side of breakfast, but I think from that point of view there is a good bare minimum. Then, personally, when I travel I like to follow local customs, and the breakfast offered some more local dishes in addition to the usual things of a hotel breakfast. I also particularly appreciated the possibility of requesting eggs cooked in any way you prefer. There is the possibility to have lunch and dinner at the hotel for a few Oman Rials. We did not take advantage of this, but it really seems to us to be an added value. Also, there are small restaurants, supermarkets, and all kinds of stores in the area. We really had a very good time, bravo!

The location is very good. My room was big and clean. The breakfast was very very good. The location is so close to the main road and there are alot of market around hotel. I recommend here for everyone.

The car park area is not enough. You need to find an empty place around building and it is really hard at night. There was problem about tv in my room. It should have been sorted out before checking in but they really tried to help me by changing tv immediatelly. The heater in my room does not work properly. I have to press the button to warm the water for awhile. . These are not big deals. I still recommend here.
