I would like to bring to your attention a recurring issue that has been causing me some frustration during my recent visits to the hotel. I have noticed that the hotel staff continuously ask me whether I am an in-house guest or a visitor each time I interact with them ( I am Arabian and wearing hijab) , While I understand the importance of ensuring security and guest identification, the frequent inquiries about my status have started to feel repetitive and somewhat intrusive. It gives the impression that my presence is being questioned repeatedly, which is beginning to affect my overall experience at the hotel.

The Chedi Muscat is a beautiful hotel with incredible service. The exterior is stunning, and the staff went above and beyond—one even found and brought me some chocolate when I asked. The food was fantastic, the beach and swimming pools were gorgeous, and the boutique shop offered amazing perfumes and clothes. We also highly recommend arranging a car through the concierge — it’s great value and so much easier than dealing with the airport. I really loved the hotel and asked about extending our stay for one more night. However, the price they quoted was almost €200 more than if I had booked through Booking.com. When I asked why they couldn’t offer the same or even a better rate since we were already staying there, the response was simply, “It is what it is.” This felt a bit disappointing, especially for a hotel of this caliber.

However, our checkout experience was a letdown. I asked for water to take with us, as it was very hot outside, and the reception staff seemed uninterested. We had to chase someone down in the lobby to get it. For a hotel of this caliber, we expected a small gesture like a bottle of water or a thoughtful goodbye gift, something we’ve received at other five-star hotels in the region. Interestingly, a Russian-speaking receptionist was very friendly and engaging with other guests, but the Asian lady who handled our checkout was unhelpful and unfriendly, which really soured our final impression of the hotel.

Absolutely stunning grounds, well-maintained - I loved the symmetry, clean lines and the fountains. The breakfast choice was extensive. We used the beachside restaurant and the main restaurant, both offering a good menu - the beachside restaurant had an amazing setting. The staff were helpful, welcoming and professional - nothing was too much bother.

You can't walk anywhere from the hotel, so you are limited to the Chedi restaurants which are expensive, but they do offer a variety of different cuisines.

The hotel is absolutely stunning, with three pools, an amazing well kept outdoor area, gym and restaurants and bars. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and very attentive. They give you free minty lemon water throughout the day as you are lounging by the pool and refill it constantly. There are many lounge chairs and sofas around the pool areas and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Recommend the pool by the beach for the best sunset photos. Our room was great with two sinks, comfy robes and bed was very comfortable. Soft drinks and fruit were complementary. Breakfast was exceptional with so many choices.

My stay at The Chedi Hotel Muscat was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a sense of tranquility and luxury that is hard to find. The attention to detail in the decor and the inclusion of traditional Omani elements made the space feel both luxurious and culturally immersive. Dining at the hotel was a delightful experience. The variety of restaurants offered something for every palate, and each meal was prepared to perfection. The beachfront dining option was my favorite, providing breathtaking views of the Gulf of Oman as I enjoyed some of the best dishes. The service at The Chedi Muscat deserves special mention. Every staff member was courteous and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly and with a smile. Their recommendations for activities and insights into Omani culture enriched my stay immensely. The spa facilities were a highlight of my visit. The serene ambiance and expert treatments left me feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring Muscat. Overall, my experience at The Chedi Hotel Muscat was exceptional. It’s a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and Omani hospitality that makes it a standout choice for anyone visiting the area. I highly recommend it to travelers seeking a memorable and relaxing experience in Muscat.

The whole Facility is amazing and very well Maintained

we were not allowes to gave iftar the restaurant due to " no shorts policy" which we were not informed aware of , we went to the restaurant i was wearing a short and a polo short and running shoes funnt part one guy told me im not allowed in bcs shorts are not allowed taking into consideration that the hotel is locTed on the beach and i was not wearing a swiming short , to make it short the stay was good but please educate your staff on how to talk to guests. one more thing we had to stay outside bcs they lady on the restaurant reservation mentionned that its fully booked taking into consideration there was 5+ empty tables and we had to ask to be relocated inside bcs it was hot and Humid

So many choices of pools! The long pool in particular was stunning and our favourite. The facilities in the gym were incredible, far better than any other hotel gym I've ever been to, if that's your thing when on holiday. You can achieve any kind of workout you're in the mood for, including reformer pilates! The included breakfast was very impressive, such a huge selection, and the restaurants for dinner were great too, although as a vegetarian there weren't tonnes of options, but we only stayed for three nights so it was ok, but if we'd stayed longer I think I would have got bored of the selection of food available. The hotel is really well placed which makes things easier, it's only 10-15 mins from muscat airport, and we also did an island trip which was very easy to get to from the hotel. There's a shop onsite, and tennis courts (but book these ahead as we struggled to get a slot) and they were really accommodating with giving us a takeaway breakfast for our early morning checkout which was helpful. The staff were very attentive as well. It's a very impressive hotel!! Very fancy

The room was nice but it wasn't a super exciting room, granted we did book the lowest grade (serai room) but for the price I expected a little bit more wow factor, but it was still plenty nice enough! The restaurants were really expensive, and of course it's the only option once you're on the site really! We weren't eating a great deal and weren't drinking either but the bills racked up like crazy even in just a few days. We also were charged VAT on every restaurant bill we signed for, and then we were also charged VAT on our total bill when checking out, so paid it twice which seemed a bit cheeky. Other than that everything was amazing!

This is one of the most beautiful and welcoming beach hotels we have ever been to. The top highlights are the setting - the garden is a masterpiece in arabesque design that invites long walks among date palm trees, water canals and fountains. The personalized service is exceptionally good with a highly motivated staff passionate about making clients happy. The quality of the restaurants also stands out. The breakfasts are delicious, varied and well served. The three swimming pools are beautiful and pleasant to swim or just linger in the water heated to 30 degrees. We will be back!

The price

It is no exaggeration at all when I (and others on here) say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at (and I’ve had the pleasure of staying at many lovely hotels around the world). Absolutely everything was perfect. Every single member of staff (a mix of Omanis and international staff from so many countries) was beyond efficient and so friendly. I felt they took even extra care of me as I was staying alone (Shukran!) and their care and attention to detail was second to none! I didn’t meet the manager Mr Karim but would like to thank and congratulate him on running such an exceptional hotel. Among the many wonderful staff who all work so hard, special mentions to Suresh who checked me in in the early hours, Renuka who cleaned my room so meticulously, Schola the restaurant hostess who was very informative and gave me the best table for the Christmas Day brunch! Khine also a restaurant hostess who was lovely to chat too on my final evening and so helpful too and Kolthum who checked me out, such a lovely lady. El-Mostafa in the restaurant, Khalid who picked me up at the airport (plus the driver who took me back there), the restaurant staff in all the restaurants, the wonderful chefs and the beach attendants. The Chedi’s design is amazing. Beautiful grounds (they even have peacocks!), so tranquil, so clean, many dining options and wonderfully designed rooms. I can see why it’s a Leading Hotel of the World and has so many awards and accolades. Thank you Chedi Muscat for an unforgettable Christmas holiday!

Wow, probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in! The Chedi truly impressed us. The rooms, design, details, food, staff, pools, and service were all outstanding. Everything is so aesthetic, and the palms everywhere felt like an oasis - peaceful, quiet, and perfect for relaxing. The staff was incredibly attentive. We enjoyed the most beautiful sunsets at the beach. The location is perfect, just a short distance from the center, and the Grand Mosque is nearby. We also booked two tours through the hotel to explore Oman, which were fantastic (Dolphin & Wahiba Sands Desert). We will for sure come back! Thank you for everything!

The food at the pool for lunch was quite pricey. Otherwise everything was more than perfect!
