The stay was great, the staff was friendly and helpful in everything. Everything could be resolved, for example, early check-in and late check-out. We received new water for each member of the room every day. There was always room cleaning as well. The rooms were equipped as expected. Everything was clean, but it showed signs of use. The breakfasts were excellent and varied; however, there was a problem with the service during breakfast, as it was clear that one employee could not manage it. This repeated for three days, and then there were two employees, and everything worked smoothly again. The price-performance ratio was great.

This hotel was a positive surprise in every way. We had an easy check in, the room was clean and spacious, with a good shower. The breakfast was amazing and we truly enjoyed it. It's a very complete and abundant buffet with delicious food. You can also additionally ask for something more, like an omelette. The hotel has a pool and a restaurant as well. The location was also good, a lot of bars and restaurants around. The taxi happens to be very cheap in Oman, so you can go anywhere from this hotel without hassle.

Nothing much, although some things might be slightly improved. For example, the hair drier didn't work but we only stayed for 2 days so it didn't matter. Also, the bath would be better with some rubber math. However, for the price we paid, this was by far the best option.

Nothing much to complain ,for the cost of accomdation ,its proves value for money

A great spot to stay, we would definitely go back. It's walking distance to lots of great restaurants. You can easily drive to the beaches and Grand Mosque and a few malls and 15 mins drive to the airport. It has a lovely rooftop pool and nice gym too. The breakfast is fantastic, so many options and so fresh! We liked our stay so much we stayed an extra night on the way back home.

The rooms were very clean other than the under the beds 😆. Both times we stayed their was lots of stuff under the beds. We only know because we have a kid and she drops stuff alot !

I recently stayed at the Centara Life Muscat Dunes in Muscat, Oman. Overall, the room was spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring. The staff truly stood out with their friendly and helpful attitude, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. While the room was generally clean, I felt there was some room for improvement in terms of cleanliness—it was acceptable, but could have been a bit better. The location is conveniently close to the Grand Mosque, which is a major highlight, though it’s a bit far from some of the other key tourist attractions in Muscat. In summary, a pleasant stay with good service, but there’s potential to enhance the overall experience.

The room is of good size with a study desk. The breakfast is very good with different menu each day. The front reception and house keeping staff are prompt and effiient.

The towels are pretty worn out and stained. However, upon request, the house keeping have provided us with new and clean towels. There is not enough parking space. Car parking was difficult in 3 out of the 5 nights we stayed as we need to drive around to look for srteet parking late at night.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Muscat Dunes hotel and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, they greeted me with warm smiles and made me feel welcomed. Their professionalism and attentiveness throughout my stay were truly commendable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The dining options offered a variety of delicious dishes, catering to different tastes. NA. Toiletries can be improved with some more options

Centra by Centara (despite it’s difficult name which kept confusing the locals) was a straight-forward budget style hotel in an ok location in Muscat. Taxi to the malls and som sights were 1OMR, toQuru. Beach area about 2OMR. The staff at the reception, especially Ms Najma and Ms Chella, were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering tips on anything from the best taxi apps to mobile operators. The cleaner, Mr Jamil, was also very kind and I appreciated his flexibility: after a long day tour, I might have wanted to sleep in. He agreed to come after 6 pm. On another day I left very early and still found a clean room when returning at noon. The pool was nice, but sadly suffered from several maintenance issues. A tip: ask for a room facing away from the road. I had room 603, which had a great view of the nearby Mohammad Al Ameen Mosque. The sight was great especially at night, and I also enjoyed hearing the daily prayers.

Despite being a great place, the hotel had some shortcomings. It seems that the rooftop pool had some maintenance issues, so during my stay it was like three days open, five days closed, five days open, three days closed…etc. The breakfast had a very limited selection, not worth paying 2,500 when you have so many nice cafes right next door. The rooftop bar and restaurant were closed ‘due to the weather’, but it seems the weather had been bad for at least a couple of years ;) since the place was in shambles. It’s a shame as the location and layout would be perfect for a sunset viewing lounge and relaxation spot.
