Best pool in I’ve seen I Philippines so far

The hotel is old but I say this as a plus as rooms are huge, this time my room had a living room and kitchen area separate from the bedroom, thst had a closet... stayed in this hotel 3 times during my trip to the Philippines, mostly because of the great location within walking distance to Intramuros and was very gappy with my choice. Breakfast omelette is delicious, and they also had fresh watermelon :)

The area near the hotel is pretty dirty, even though it is one of the best places of Manila... but that does not mean it is dangerous, it is the same in all parts of Manila I visited, unfortunately :(

Location is good.and swimming pool is great.great staff and an excellent free breakfast.

The area around hotel is a little rough,but what area in manila isn't.

Great facilities and very good service. We love Tropicana and the staff there. Very near Robinsons Place, neat and clean rooms, good and spacious rooms.

The suite was very large and very clean. Having the pool open in the evening to relax in after a long flight was great. There is even a pool bar. The Robinson Mall is just around the corner and we could buy electric plug adapters there (very inexpensive 2-3€) the next morning. Good breakfast was included and you could choose from the menu either Western or Filipino options. It's not a very luxurious hotel but clean and convenient with a friendly staff. In terms of airport transfers, the ride was almost 40 minutes because of early evening traffic but another member of the group arrived in just under 15 minutes a couple of hours later.

Although air conditioner worked just fine, it was a bit noisy but ear plugs at night solved that problem.

Excellent accommodation, well located, excellent facilities in the room.

I got charged for an extra person while I have 2 room bookings that can accommodate the declared number of guests. It is understandable to limit the occupancy in the rooms but charging for the 3rd person without providing an extra bed is too much. I can agree that Breakfast for the 3rd person is chargeable. there was a time in the day the toilet was blocked and could not flush properly.

The staff at reception, entrance and pool are extraordinary, congratulations to the hotel for having such great people! The room is enormous and beautifully decorated, freshly renovated and some with fully equipped kitchen, with modern appliances... this hotel is a hidden gem in Manila, within walking distance to the mai interesting parts of the city and the fabulous Robonsons shopping Center is on the next block!

The streets near the hotel are sooo dirty... nut that is not the hotel problem, it is a major issue Manila faces

At this hotel all the staff members are fantastic from checking to checkout at breakfast it feels like home with the two ladies moneth and forget the other name at the pool Jun jomar and Rentoy does their job exceptionally well always a big smile and welcome. Everyday housekeeper cleans the room and did a fantastic job with a smile I stay I'm room 705 I have been using the hotel now for 7 years and keep going back because of the services and the staff also the guys at the door very good at their jobs I spend 12 nights and never had to open the door by myself nothing is too much for any staff member this hotel is 2 min away from Robinson mall everything very close by I 💯 percent recommend this hotel after 7 years the services remain unmatched and also very quiet no noise will always return spoke with a few people at the pool all had the same experience and some been going there for years all because of the staff employed by the hotel 🏨 will be returning soon well done tropicana

Honestly I try hard to find something but couldn't find any fault

Location is in walking distance of most attractions of the older part of Manila. Very few issues walking locally as there are so many other people about. Robinsons Mall is a 5 minute walk for many food and retail options. 5 minutes the other way is Pedro Gill transit station to travel further afield. More than adequate apartment with great bed/bathroom/Wifi and kitchen facilities. Issue with TV reception was quickly addressed. Transfer to the airport very efficiently arranged by Reception. Security guards friendly but definitely in control of who can/does enter. Filipino breakfast served on Mezzanine was more than adequate start to the day.

Powdered cordial is not orange juice: please inform the catering staff. Air con sounded a bit like rain on a tim roof_ which we did not mind. (If that is our only complaint, the place is doing well).
