We had a great stay at Alonaland Resort. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The grounds are really nice with a beautiful well kept garden, so you can wake up to birds singing. There's also a nice and cold pool. We stayed over New Years and it was the perfect base for a more lively holiday as there's a lot of bars, restaurants and massage options in the area. It's also a great place to use as a base to explore everything Panglao and Bohol has to offer when it comes to water activities as well as mountain and waterfall exploration. We had booked the Deluxe Bungalow which was nice and big with a super comfortable bed. It also had kitchen facilities and a cold fridge, which was nice.

A bit far away from the beach access (15 min walk). No onsite restaurant or breakfast options. New resort is being build just across from Alonaland, so can be a bit noisy (looks like they will be done in the next month or so, so expecting it to be more peaceful). The resort has the 80ies look about it, which we didn't mind as it was a lot cheaper than some of the more modern and fancy resorts.

Daily room cleaning, good WiFi, loads of trees (and mosquitoes), staff on duty nice, basic facilities, hammocks.

The location is not 50m from Alona beach as depicted on the booking.com location map; it's actually across the road. While the resort once had direct access to Alona beach, a new, large resort under construction has obstructed that path. Now, reaching the beach requires a nearly 1km (0.6 mile) walk through Panglao's bustling tourist center, navigating through island hopping tour sellers, massage shops, and traffic noise. The nearby construction is noisy into the night. Additionally, on our last night, there was a party within the resort that lasted into the early hours, resulting in a restless night for us. Shame about the construction site because it must have been a lovely place in an amazing location in the past.

Staying at Alonaland resort was the best decision I could make. The serenity and tranquillity was amazing. Very peaceful and quiet location surrounded by beautiful gardens. One would be silly not to stay at this resort. Unless you like paying top dollar at another commercial resort. . The value for the 5 days stayed was worth every penny. Alonaland resort is very affordable and the staff were amazing. Walking distance to Alona Beach, shopping and restaurants are very close. Thankyou Alonaland resort the family experience was wonderful and the kids still are talking about living in a botanical gardens atmosphere ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I didn't like that we had to leave.

It was really clean. That is really seldom in Philippinen that the staff really work and clean all. They change the bed things every 2 days even u are still using it. The pool is also very clean and I watch how the pool boy work, they try really them best. If u need a laundry u can bring it 500 meter away at the big crossing to the main street is a laundry shop 8 kilo 350 peso on the same day done dry iron and fold. The family room have also a own kitchen if you want cook there. And the internet was fast enough to watch Netflix and co. Its not a big hotel building its just many bungalows and all around is green trees grass and air. Much better than a expensive hotel with a balcony. 500 meters away a hiding street inside is a great restaurant with nice music nice price for nice food. Lekker Garden is the name and it's really hidden, so u dont have there car noise or anything like that. We was there 2 times and if we have more time than we would go again in that restaurant. But there are also many other restaurant around including a Switzerland and a Irish pub.

Beside this nice hotel is a big other hotel and they block the street to the little beach beside, that's why if u want to the beach u need walk 1 Kilometer. Its ok to walk that distance its not far but I hate that this world is so stingy in all that they don't allowed people to pass a street to the beach. The hotel Alona Palm Beach Resort and Restaurant is one of that stingy owner and if can rate it i would rate 1 star only because a beach is not owned by a hotel its owned by the government. But the street is private that's why the hotel know u can't go to the beach. No go in my eyes.

The location is ok. As you have to walk to the beach for about 15 minutes. The big hotel has cut off all the access to the beach. Which is a shame. But since we already knew it, it was ok. Also the pillows were very hard, too stuffed. In the living area could have been more comfortable sitting like a sofa but all these are just a small things that are overlooked with all the positives about this property. But it is really amazing value for the price. It is way better than in the photos. The area is clean and green. We used the swimming pool and the seating just outside was perfect for breakfast or dinner. Our house was super clean and it can be even cleaned every day if you wish. There were utensils and pans if you would like to cook there. Drinking water available to buy from reception for 70 peso. They also offer laundry service but that takes couple of days to come back. There was a walk in shower with warm water, hairdryer, complimentary toothbrush etc. Also we were offered all the tours at a good price. It is a fantastic hotel especially if travelling with a family.

The resort has a large green territory with palms and a swimming pool. The location is good, 10-15 min walk from Alona beach. We stayed in a nice house on the second floor and enjoyed dinners at the balcony. The room had all necessary facilities, the only concern was air conditioner. It was hung right above the bed and we couldn’t use it because it blew on our heads. The resort personnel were very supportive, especially Joan. They solved all our questions, helped us to rent a bike, arranged transfer and tickets for a ferry boat.

We loved this villa - it was spacious with cool air con and lovely social outdoor kitchen and seating area looking out to the pool. There were loads of shelves which we found so helpful to unpack and a rarity in these parts! Staff were lovely and helpful with everything we needed. Pool part cover is fab for a boiling hot day!

A small thing but there was a cat always hanging around for food and trying to get in to the villa. It was very friendly but as non cat people we found a bit annoying. It didn't impact our stay overall though which was really fab

Large clean room with good facilities, including lots of luggage shelves which are great for backpacking. Safety deposit box. Very good pool with shade or sun areas, and good sun loungers. Lovely staff.

The entrance to the property is very rundown, and the staff at reception were absolutely lovely people, but seemed unprepared for traveller questions, like booking a trip, which they could do, but didn’t know how much it would cost and would need to phone up. Or booking a taxi, it would take an hour to get to you.

Quiet, central but not in the heart of stuff, clean, very well maintained, kitchen, 70php for 5gallons of water in your room, pool and pool shelter were great, staff was very nice and friendly, great restaurants very close versus did not need to go into the action zone.

The mosquitos wish they sprayed the property for Them so you could stay around pool at dusk. Wish the hotel across the street would let you walk through to the beach even if for 20php for walk through and back. Really no complaints we’d rent here again 100%.

I like it because it is near with restaurants. You can easily pin down the location if you want foodpanda or grab food delivery. You can cook as well in the property. Free use of billiards. Free use of the swimming pool. Staff are so friendly. It's a mix of both worlds. If you want a peaceful environment away from noise and at the same time can chill with your family, this resort is the perfect place. And if you also want the crowd and the noise of Alona's night life, it is also just a few walks away.

I think brownouts are frequent in Panglao, not sure though. It just so happen that during our last day (saturday), we got plenty of power interruptions.
