Great location, nice hotel staff, comfort and cozy hotel. We celebrated the New Year at this hotel, it was nice to wake up in a room overlooking the ocean 🌊😊

But…We were very upset by the quality of the hotel restaurant, the worst thing was that on our first dinner here, when ordering a children's menu, we got a sharp piece of something in the ice cream. We still remember this as a bad dream; by a lucky chance, I got this fragment, not our child. The manager, of course, responded to our remark (although they did not even excluded the children's menu from the bill), but this should not happen in the restaurant of a five-star hotel. Therefore we do not recommend the hotel restaurant

We loved it all, the reception staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is in a stunning position overlooking the picturesque beach and the hotel is a beautiful boutique style and absolutely spotless, the food is outstanding in the restaurant in the evening they added a nice touch at the end of every meal, free mini absolutely delicious desserts, we also ate lunch outside most days having a beachside table the food was also just as good as were the staff in the restaurant. We loved the pool area, it was super relaxing and the bar staff by the pool were also very good. The room we stayed in was perfect, Number 101, with a small balcony overlooking the beach, we stayed for 6 nights and still didn't want to leave. We have already booked for 2 weeks next year for the hubbys 50th birthday, which can't come quick enough. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay it was a 20th wedding anniversary we will never forget.

The hotel is perfectly situated near the beach, shopping and restaurants yet it’s tucked away on the street making it a peaceful serene retreat. The pool area is inviting and overlooks the ocean with breathtaking views of the sunrise. The breakfast has a generous selection of fruits, cereals, yogurts, cheese and cold cuts. Grilled vegetable stacks and mini quiches were tasty. Fresh juice were placed on the table once seated and egg dishes/coffee can be ordered. The reception and restaurant staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The rooms were confortable and very clean. They provided bottled water and port (which was delicious) in our room. It was a wonderful way to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday.

There was an electrical outage in town a few times and it affected the electricity and water in the hotel. The management needed to notify the guests about the outage and its return.

The Albatroz Hotel was gorgeous! A really great experience for me and my daughter to get out of city area of Lisbon and enjoy Cascais! The hotel was right next to the beach … beautiful views! The staff was very attentive and helpful… especially Alex—the Romanian speaking gentleman! Thank you Alex for being so nice and welcoming to us! The bedroom had a patio that was right outside by the pool area so it was great for us. The bedroom was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable! We would have loved to stay more!!! The breakfasts and food in general was DELICIOUS! We loved our stay and would most definitely come back!!! Thank you all!

The hotel is in a very good location. Though hard to find initially, it is along the ocean, and though not private, has the feeling of a private beach, along with the hotels pool above it. Beautiful views as we upgraded to a balcony room that faced the ocean. Every morning a plentiful and tasty breakfast was served. Loved our welcome amenity of a carafe of Port wine.

Due to being on the top floor and having a premium location, the elevator did not go up to the top. Had to transfer to take the stairs. Not a big deal for us but could be for someone with limited mobility. Google maps couldn't find the location, though we were only a block away. No usb plugs for charging phones/tablets.

This hotel has the best location in Cascais! It is adjacent to the old town and on a clifftop surrounded by two beautiful beaches. The evening tasting menu is very reasonable for the quality. It is better than some Michelin star restaurants we have eaten in and half the price. The hotel reflects the historic area and portuguese style. There is nothing corporate here! It's quirky and lovely in every way.

We would have liked a drinks service occasionally at the pool. The staff in the bar were reluctant to do this and there were missed opportunities. I would have liked a small gym.

All the staff were excellent and made for a very comfortable stay. Next time we'll choose one of the rooms with a balcony as our room was okay but a bit smaller and right over the front of the hotel and car park. The breakfast was one of the best we've had. Absolutely great location with a wonderful view over the beach and sea and a very short walk into town.

The restaurant was excellent and the bar good but I found that to just sit and have a drink in the bar area was not so comfortable and the larger rooms with seating areas on the ground floor felt a bit like waiting rooms.

The location is perfect, right on the beachfront, the staff are first class and the food is excellent. The parking is tight but simply turn up, hand over your keys and the excellent front of house deal with everything - that's a great touch, particularly for visitors who don't know the local area. The suite we splashed out on had views over the beach and out to sea and was spectacular. The restaurant staff are extremely knowledgeable and take time to explain the dishes and wine recommendations. The hotel is spotlessly clean and richly decorated. It is a genuine 5 star hotel. Good luck with the Michelin star bid and we hope the young lady checking us in at breakfast each morning had a healthy baby boy. Thank you. We will stay here again.

If you could arrange for 22 degrees and sunshine every day in January next time, that would be great. ;-)

It has defo feel of 5 star place! Gorgeous views and the breakfast was fab. The interior of the whole hotel is super classy and the rooms beautifully designed. Plenty of towels for you, toiletries, slippers and bathrobes, just like it should be in a 5 star place.

We asked for upgrade to sea view room but didnt get it even it was off season and they wanted extra £60 per night which i thought was a lot. Also we booked this hotel specifically for the heated pool as it says it has all year round heated pool but when we arrived they said its not heated! Felt a bit deflated as i wanted my daughter to have a bit of fun in the pool so an upgrade would have been nice but no luck then.

Lovely traditional hotel in great location overlooking the beach and the sea. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Excellent breakfast choices and lovely terrace for a drink or meal. Very attentive staff. We did not use the pool as it’s was late October but great to sit by the pool and enjoy the view. Cascais is a great choice to stay and visit Lisbon by train. Fabulous to come out of the busy city to such a lovely location and hotel.

Two times in our bathroom we couldn’t get hot water. Other times it was fine. Otherwise we loved the hotel.
