I possess very good cushy walking shoes - but after walking the cobblestone sidewalks & streets - the indoor heated pool was BLISSFUL. The lovingly prepared breakfast buffet was outstanding & it offered me 6 excellent opportunities to speak to many of the guests. On a sunny morning the server opened the door to the garden, raised the umbrellas, placed cushions on the seats and helped to bring out our food from our table inside💕The front desk was exceptional - she helped me several times with my safe as well as when I left my door key in my room and gave me a wonderful tip on a nearby restaurant. Lastly, I left my documents and money In the safe, and they forwarded it to me at my next destination and Braga. I am forever grateful, and the memory of this place in the city has a special place in my heart.

The room on the first floor was very spacious. Parking is under the hotel with a lift up to the room. The breakfast is okay, there is hot – eggs, sausages, bacon. Cereal, breads, juice, coffee, cheese, ham etc. Good location to the sights.

They give you a key and keycard for a reason, sometimes the card doesn’t work so always take both when you go out. Check in is a strict 15H, which is too late, they will not budge, unlike most places we have been to, who are more accommodating. The floors creak and the curtains are difficult to open and close, they don’t slide well on their tracks.

Found this hotel to be quite a gem. You'd almost miss it if you weren't looking as the name is on the roof. Really clean throughout the hotel with a bright interior, lovely old building. Hotel was on a fairly busy road, we were lucky enough to be looking out the rear of the property and was quiet so can't say if it was noisy out the front. Parking in the hotel garage was free (not expected) and was a bonus for the hire car. Absolutely superb breakfast included with multiple options available. I believe there was a pool and gym facilities but we didn't use them. An absolute steal for the price paid and would stay here if we visit Coimbra again without doubt.

A rather strange bathroom setup, a kind of en-suite at the end of the bed but without a door to it! Other rooms appeared to have the same setup and probably had to be that way for the available space. A bit odd, that's all.

Nice location, close to many points of interest. Kind staff. Spacious and clean room. Very good and rich breakfast. Underground parking available, with no extra charge.

There was missing information, that if you would like to visit the indoor pool, the bath cap is mandatory (you can buy one for 5 euros from the reception). There was no soap or paper in the toilet and showers near the pool, so you could shower directly there. The beds weren't that comfortable. And overall I think it was a bit overrated for what it offers.

Everything! The price was lower than many others. The location is top, bus stations are very close. The house is a monumental old building, very nicely renovated. There is a pool, good free wifi, the rooms were comfortable and clean, there was a balcony. Breakfast is ok, maybe not so many choices but they offer a very nice selection of fresh fruit which was a big plus for me.

Nothing! If I really have to write something here, I would mention that the sound insulation between the rooms is not the best, because the house is an old mansion and the floors are wooden.

The hotel was lovely, with a spacious, nicely appointed room. The staff were professional and helpful, and the breakfast had a great variety, in a spacious, pleasant breakfast room. We enjoyed dinners at a nearby recommended restaurant, and found the hotel location quite convenient, being walking distance to the university and to downtown Coimbra. (For those not into walking uphill back to the hotel, especially in the heat, there seemed to be regular buses.)

The room was lovely and spacious enough to get around in my wheelchair, which was great, and had a fully accessible bathroom. The front desk staff & breakfast staff were lovely and very helpful, although not all spoke English. Breakfast was very good, quite delicious and lots of options. Centrally located but easy to find.

Getting in and out of the hotel in a wheelchair was not so easy - it required front desk staff (only open 0700-2330) to open a door for me, although there were thankfully ramps and staff were always helpful and kind though not always immediately available. Also only one really accessible power outlet in the room which made charging laptop, phone, and wheelchair difficult.

Friendly and helpful staff, well served breakfast, Wifi DID work in all the building. No red tape to access the health center. They do provide you with robes and towels.

Although facilities are new, the building is not, so depending on your neighbor you hear a lot of noise. There were no empty plugs in the room, had to disconnect a lamp or the hairdryer to charge phone. The drane in the shower was clogged and let water flood the bathroom floor. There was no desk in the room although it was in the rooms description. All small details that didn't prevent me to enjoy, but should be looked into :)

Great location in the upper town . Breakfast was excellent , very good selection. Room was a good size with a four poster bed, seating area and very hot shower. Nice indoor pool area.

Sauna and Steam room not switched on and we didn't have time to arrange this with reception which was a shame, but we could understand this because of running costs ,so no real problem

Nice large room, a mixture of modern and vintage. Very nice modern bathroom. The staff was generally helpful. Different options for breakfast.

It was sometimes difficult to get a hold of the receptionists. Breakfast drinks were quite poor. The double bed was made of two singles but it was quite uncomfortable because they were moving around quite easily. The TV was too small given the distance from the bed.
