We loved this place from the moment we arrived. It’s really well presented, has great staff and free secure parking nearby, which in a city, is like gold dust. The B&B is in a great location next door to the university, close to the old town and walking distance to bars, restaurants and cafes. We stayed in a king room with kitchenette which had a super comfortable bed, good bedding and towels, plenty of hot water and a microwave, kettle, crockery and cutlery. Breakfast was a good range of hot and cold options. Highly recommended.

It was a bit tricky to use the small sink to wash-up without flooding the cupboard shelf.

Very good location (close to university), friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, newly renovated rooms, good towels (soft and thick), air conditioner inside the room, small kitchenette (small fridge, very small sink and couple mugs/glasses), lots of blankets in case you need them

The sound isolation of the rooms is not that good (we could hear our neighbors talking), the bed was short (I am 1.81 m and my girlfriend is 1.68 m and even for her the bed was short), Wi-Fi in our room was barely working, rooms are pretty small with small corridor inside the room

Very nice hotel, centrally located and only steps away from the university and the old town just beyond. We had a large and cosy room with strong shower. The hotel has a nice courtyard with two big orange and lemon trees with tables setup underneath. Would be such a treat to spend some time there but the weather was too cold for that. But the best part was the hotel staff who were warm and went out their ways to make sure we were happy and well taken care of every step of the way. They helped with luggage and provided helpful information about the university and the old town. Beatriz helped us book the university library online and the other tall, hard-haired lady (I regret I forgot to ask her name) climbed up a chair and picked two big oranges from their tree before sending us off! Very nice experience overall. I only wish we could spend more time there.

Very clean, well equipped room in a great location for walking around Coimbra. Very close to the University and botanical gardens gardens. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was well appointed for a continental with option for some hot/cooked foods.

Rooms were a bit noisy due to not well insulated windows, we were there during graduation weekend for the university so could hear the parties taking place until around 2-3am but luckily we use white noise so it didn’t disturb us too much.

This was a gem to find. Nice place conveniently located to many attractions and the University. The staff were wonderful, check in was a breeze. They provided a parking lot near the back entrance to the place- it was okay. No complaints- it's hard to find city parking. The breakfast was wonderful, providing a great choice, to include fresh made eggs with bacon. They even had delicious french-press coffee (the closest we found to American coffee). They provided wonderful recommendations and even drew on a map all the locations for us! Highly recommend this place!

Everything was wonderful!

Very polite and helpful staff (young guy) who helped move luggage from car park (less than 100m away) to the room on the first floor. Nice and cheerful staff preparing breakfast. Superb breakfast and comfortable dining area. Clean room well equipped with all necessary things. Convenient backdoor for un/uploading luggage from car for the first floor. Coimbra University, one of the main attractions, just next to the property. Praxe was a special encounter during our stay. Will choose to stay here if visiting Coimbra again.

A bit noisy when some passersby yelling at night if window is left open over the night for fresh air.

Loved this property. Our room was charming and the location was right next to the university which is what we came to see, it had free parking, and the staff were incredibly helpful in advising us on sites and restaurants. There was also an excellent breakfast included which we could eat under the trees in the little courtyard or in the small reception area. We would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing that we did not like about this property.

The central location made it easy to complete sightseeing on foot. Hosts were helpful; the outdoor space felt like an oasis in the city. Parking was provided a short distance away.

The surrounding area looks sketchy, and the entrance is difficult to reach down a narrow alley-street. It might be useful to switch the main entrance to Castro Street, where there is an easier access point for guests with a car. The bed was too firm for my liking.

The B&B was clean, comfortable and had a great feel. The staff especially Beatriz and Christina were incredible. Beatriz came and got us when we couldn’t find the B&B and got us to the B&B. Christina did breakfast every morning and it was simple but fabulous. She also enjoyed having a conversation. The B&B is in a great location right by the university. Easy to walk everywhere but it is a hilly city. Also there was parking with was a big plus.

There was nothing that we didn’t like about the property

The staff were very friendly and offered wonderful recommendations for dinner during our stay. Papi just down the street had very delicious food and came with a 10% discount from the B&B. They also recommended a locals place called Ze Manel Dos Ossos which is very popular serving great local dishes. The breakfast served was plentiful and included perfect scrambled eggs and bacon along with a varied assortment of cereals and pastries. The staff has provided us with a local map and gave specific instructions on how to reach both the popular attractions and restaurants in the city. The B&B also offers free secured parking close by. We stayed in the blue room which was on the upper level and was very cozy.

The bed was a little hard for our tastes but, that is really a matter of preference. Also, driving down the very narrow street to the front entrance can be challenging. There is space for only one vehicle so if there is a car trying to exit while you are entering, it can be very difficult.
