Good hotel with generally good service.

The barman laughed at me when I asked for a glass of sauvignon blanc for my wife. He said we don't have anything like that only medium.

The NH Coimbra is a very nice hotel with view to the river. The check-in was excellent and we had a good brief about the city. The room was spacious and nice, the bathroom also with bidet. The safe was good. The parking was also very good. You can access the breakfast room (nice place) directly with the elevator. One night we had dinner at the hotel and it was good.

The breakfast was good, but not at the same level as the same outstanding level as the rest of the hotel services.

The Breakfast was EXCELLENT the kitchen and restaurant staff were very friendly!

I don't like saying things like this but only because I worked so many years in the service industry from restaurants to hotels. I have to say that the front desk staff were not friendly at all. At least to me. I understand that maybe sometimes you are tired or having a rough day. But there is no need to be so brief and dismissive of someone paying for the service of the hotel, which includes customer service. So despite the amazing Breakfast and restaurant staff. The experience I had at the front desk really tainted how I felt about my stay.

This lovely hotel suited our needs perfectly. The breakfast was wonderful with good variety and quality; the coffee was delicious. The location worked for us, we walked to restaurants, sights such as the Old Cathedral, archeological museum and Coimbra University-no joke about the huge hills though but we were good with it. We rented a car and walked about 3 blocks to pick it up; we were able to park it across the street overnight although there is an underground garage available also.

The guy who works between the kitchen and the customers was very welcoming and accommodating. 10/10

I asked for a room with two separate beds explicitly, well in advance of my stay, yet I was told I effectively had to share a bed with my Uncle. Certainly, not ideal.

Everything was on a very good high level, the location is nice It is bit un the city center, but it is a short walking distance I loved to have a river side walks The bed is very comfortable Breakfast is good and you'll find everything you need The welcoming notice in the room and cookies were a very pleasant and nice gesture from the hotel team

There is nothing to underline actually

Modern environment. Parking (bit expensive but safe, though bit narrow to get in). Clean. Big bathroom. Beds were OK. Staff is friendly. Location is not ideal but not too far from main attractions. Quite area. Good air cond.

Breakfast is very weak for 4 stars (except for loose leaf tea which is rare), no vegies at all. Windows are made from metal and it attracts cold to your room (and humidity). Price was too high for what we get.

I liked many things, including a powerful hairdryer. The reception staff were professional and advised us on places for lunch. Spacious foyer with lots of areas to sit down. Comfortable bed and easy access by lift to underground car park.

The bin in the bathroom wasn't emptied when we checked in, a cleaner probably forgot to empty it. Everything else was clean so it didn't bother me.

Amazing value and the property was perfectly located if you were taking the train to/from Coimbra B. It's a pleasant and easy walk along the river then along a park to reach the train, takes about 15 minutes. For the money, the room was great...extremely comfortable king bed, window that opened to let in fresh air. The notable part of the room was the bathroom. Extremely well designed, great shower. Just amazing value for the money.

The room was small, but again for the money it was a fantastic deal.

The breakfast was nice, but too many cakes and sweet options, and no vegetables at all to make it a better balanced breakfast. All the staff were very helpful. We loved the drinks vouchers for declining room cleaning. The availability of snacks and water at reception is excellent.

The free wifi - it was unsecured, so not safe to use and we therefore didn't use it. So we had to rely on our mobile phone data.
