Close to the shrine and the Chapel.

I only stay 3 nights and noticed they don’t clean. Ms. Barbara, your employee was nasty. I came to pick up my key, there were customers there. I waited but when I saw that I have to stay longer I apologized and asked to get my key. She told me to way and at least I have to let her know that just to have my key I have to let her finish. With attitude she gave me the key. The next day, I came from the Shrine and went to the Chapel to pray. When I came out to get my key, she asked me if I have permission to get in the Chapel, I told her that her colleague told me to use it when I want and I asked her if we need permission to pray and again have attitude. I did not appreciate and unfortunately I was leaving early to talk to the manager.

A simple hotel that will probably meet the needs of most pilgrims and good value for money. Great location right next to the Sanctuary, a few minutes' walk from the bus station and very near a stop for the little tourist train that takes pilgrims to various sites of interest. The hotel is showing its age, though it's kept clean and the room and beds are fine for a day or two. Bathroom was a little small though, and there's no kettle / coffeemaker in the room. Note that this hotel still uses actual keys - you leave the key at reception when you go out, and the room doors need to be locked "manually". The staff are very helpful and really tried to answer all my questions despite their limited English, which I appreciated. Breakfast is fine with the usual items (bread, cereals, ham, cheese, eggs). I wasn't sure if there was a restaurant in the hotel but Cafe Mutamba a few doors away is an excellent place to eat and drink.

Location is excellent, across the street from the Santuary. Breakfast was very nice but lacked variety. Romeo was simply wonderful and made our mornings everyday

Reception staff were very nice and helpful but lacked local knowledge of where to find stuff etc. The back elevator was out o order for most of our trip. A kettle in the room would have been really nice. I had to buy one.

I was really impressed by the welcome from the staff! Breakfast was excellent and the hotel is 2 minutes away from the Fatima Shrine. Great signs giving directions from the bus station were a bonus.

The carpets are worn and the doors are dark so it makes the hallways very dim but otherwise this was a lovely place. The lobby is bright and light filled.

The hotel could not have been more convenient for the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, which was practically across the road! Our room was comfortable and had a wonderful view of the Cruz Alta. Javier on reception was warm and welcoming, and very helpful to our enquiries. The breakfast offered a great deal of variety and was well worth the additional charge. We were close to a number of nice bars, and within easy walking distance from restaurants. We were also only 5 minutes' walk from the coach station which was our arrival and departure point. The coach station had a taxi rank which was great for getting transport for our day trip to Batalha.

Not all staff were English speaking, something to be aware of for non-Portuguese speakers.

Staff and the location

First day there was a group of teenagers at the property, they were very noisy and randomly banged on my room door for couple of times. I complained to the hotel staff and they taken immediately action to calm them down, and I was told that they would leave the property on the same day mid-night.

The location is great, it's next to the Fatima's Basilica.

I think that they should adequate the bathrooms for elderly, my mother needed some help for entering the bathtub. They had some problems managing a big number of people because in a Sunday morning the breakfast was really complicated compared to a previous day.

Location just besides the Sanctuary and near to bus station comfortable bed, , breakfast is excellent, staff are very helpful. Recommended!!

The hotel needs to redecorate the hallway, dark light, the strong smell of the room looks just done cleaning the carpet with the product, it will be nice if there is a kettle for tea in the room.

Simple and a bit old fashioned but with high standards of service. Philomena went out of her way to show us the chapels, even on a very busy Sunday morning. The location was wonderful. Very close to the Sanctuary and with good parking.

The bathrooms need updating but I enjoyed being able to have a bath as well as shower. The lock on the room door was a bit difficult but we managed. It didn't detract from an excellent stay.

Location perfect,breakfast very good,for 3 star excelent,rooms clean and simpatic.But the first in this hotel was the reception younger man,I forgot the name but I remember that he was born in Paris.This man wonderful,pleasant,I have not a thanks words for him.I was been thorugh the Europe but he is really the best receptionist which I meet.Bravo for him.
