Amazing views from the balcony (if you are in one of the two upper floors). There is a nice bar inside (however, it was closed on Sunday). They have some sandwiches, beer, coffee, pastel del nata and more. I stayed with my best friend and we got our own individual beds.

The entrance to the parking lot (only 3 or 4 lots!!) is very, very narrow. We did not even dare it with our rental SUV. Instead, we parked outside on the street. We were lucky there was always at least one parking lot free, else you can only drive downhill to look for a parking space there or take a big detour to check uphill again. Also, you definitely want to be in decent shape to walk up the steep hill to the apartments (unless you only travel by car).

Had a really fantastic holiday staying at these apartments. The location is amazing, it’s around a 10 minute walk to the centre of Funchal. I see a lot of people talk about the hill however if you are relatively fit you won’t find it a problem at all. The apartment is clean and it has a nice seating area with a pool which has some lovely views. The location is very quiet and relaxing. There is a snack bar which serves toasties etc, coffee’s & alcoholic drinks. The prices at the snack bar are very cheap and the staff were very friendly and good service. I would definitely recommend to stay here.

we booked the economy room with 2 beds. the room had a beautiful view of the mountain and a bit of the seaside. it was a very simple room but we had everything we needed and everyone was really friendly.

because we went in january it was rather cold in madeira and their houses are not built for that, so it got quite cold at night. the driveway to the parking was probably the worst part. it was so narrow we ended up with 2 bad scratches on our car.

It was a great stay, and the room was very spacious. I wouldn't consider it "water view," considering the huge building in front of the balcony, but you could see the sea on the left. Parking was also available if you arrived early, which was very good for us. It's a bit far from the town, and I do wish there were more restaurants of that nature around the property.

I wish there was cleaning in the room every day, but there wasn't. Also, considering this is an island with pretty much every activity revolving around the ocean and pool, there should be complimentary beach towels.

Had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Valhalla Panorama in Funchal, it exceeded my expectations! Nestled in a perfect location, offering breath taking panoramic views of the city, the Atlantic Ocean, and the surrounding mountains. Waking up to such a view every day was an absolute treat. The room was spacious, clean, and elegantly designed, with large windows to see the stunning vistas outside. Enjoyed the tranquillity of the property, which provided a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation after a busy day of sightseeing. Funchal itself is a lovely city with plenty to explore, from charming streets to amazing botanical gardens. Hotel Valhalla Panorama is a short drive from the city centre, making it an ideal location to balance relaxation with easy access to all the attractions.

Amazing view, we enjoyed very beautiful sunsets on the balcony. Room is clean, comfortable and nice. Bathroom with shower was also clean en big enough, there were also many towels hairdryer. The staf is friendly and flexible. You can enjoy snack-bar until 22:00 and swimming pool until 17:00 (we're in February). Location is nice, calm area, many bars and cafés around here.

Stay was amazing just a couple of details, that could be important: - One socket for the entire room and bathroom. It wasn't very convenient. - location is nice but important to mention that way from hotel to city center is pretty easy because you have to go just down hill for 10-15 minutes. BUT the way back to hotel is going to be like a hike. Anyway in center you can easily take different buses.

Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, the view from my room was okay. Private balcony. Easy check-in/out. Very friendly staff! Great view from the pool down to the harbor. The cafe was very good with good prices. Free parking on the street (with good timing). Kitchen equipped for breakfast and basic cooking. Overall a very good location for exploring Funchal on foot if you don't want to stay in the busy old town or hotel quarter, but mind that the slope of R. de Santa Luzia and R. do Pina is very steep!

No mosquito nets in front of the windows. These would allow leaving the windows open at night to cool down the apartment without getting bitten (I'm a mosquito magnet and Madeira's mosquitoes are small and fast). The door did not open and close that smoothly (grinding on the floor), requiring great care when closing to not wake everybody up at night. Some things like some rubber seals in the shower, the toilet seat and fridge could do with a replacement.

The location is great, very easy to do a self check in as the hotel staff is extremely responsive on booking via messages. There is a snack bar and a swimming pool with a great view over Funchal city. My room wasn’t with a view (oberlooking the street), and when I complained about the room the hotel offered full refund whicj was really amazing, as no other rooms were available. The owner/manager (perhaps?) was also extremely helpful with non-hotel related issues showing true consideration for hotel’s guests.

Wonderful place with welcoming staff. My room had a lovely little terrace overlooking the ocean, the neighboring hills and the downtown Funchal. There is a coffee machine in the room but being a tea drinker I asked for a boiler and the staff has kindly found one for me. The place is on a hill so there's quite of a climb to do, but it's feasible. Otherwise, the hotel is a short walk to the city center and port.

Friendly staff, close to town, cute garden and though a bit outdated all clean and well. Loved the area and the fact it had its own small bar for small breakfast or a beer. So yes the climb up is steep but in return there is the view and a more quiet neighborhood. Parking in Feb mostly available, but having a small car helped

Not much wrong here. The hairdryer was not very strong so not very useful, the matrass a bit hard.
