Breakfasts were great -- many choices, good food, and a wonderful experience being on the top floor of the hotel with great views. The interior decor was pleasant and spacious. The hotel was conveniently located to the center of Guarda with the churches and castle. We especially loved being able to take the fast elevators upstairs for chef-quality dinners. There was good parking in the basement garage.

The wifi Internet signal in our room was somewhat weak, so it might be a good idea for travelers, or for the hotel, to bring or buy plug-in wifi signal extenders. But it wasn't that much of a problem. But overall this hotel was the best one of about five we've stayed at in Portugal.

The location of this hotel is great. The views from the restaurant are amazing. The food is delicious, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast. There was a lot of choice for breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were travelling by motorbike and whilst there was no attached parking we found a spot directly outside the hotel which was absolutely fine and safe. We would use this hotel again if in the area and would highly recommend it.

Staff were lovely, room was spacious and bed was comfy. Bathroom was great, walk-in shower was fab. Lovely balcony. High quality bed linen. Easy parking.

Lumpy pillows. Drinks in the bar were quite expensive G&T 14€. A la carte restaurant food was cold, served on cold plates. Disappointing. Most people had the buffet.

Our suite was excellent, large and comfortable, definitely worth paying extra for the suite in the winter. The heating was excellent, which was appreciated in early February. Breakfast was very good and dinners were good too especially the buffet evenings.

It was very inconvenient not being allowed to have one key card for each of us. The hotel had run out!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Superb views. Very good location; just a 15-minute walk to the centre. Excellent room. A new bottle of water everyday was an excellent touch, especially in the summer, when outside temperature during the day easily goes above 30ºC.

The curtains in the room were slightly translucent. So, for people who like to sleep in total darkness, especially in the summer when it's light earlier, that is not so good.

The view from the Bar and restaurant - spectacular sunsets! The young Brazilian couple who served us were VERY professional and friendly. The food was top quality.

Bathroom lighting very good although lighting from above bad for ladies doing make-up - impossible to see. Lighting would be better from the side. Bedside lighting too dim for bedtime reading. Can't you afford more volts in your light bulbs???

Comfy beds, lovely modern room and bathroom, fantastic view from the restaurant, great breakfast buffet. Hotel felt luxurious, more than usual for a 3 star hotel.

A bit of road noise in the room. It’s worth asking for a room with a view, we didn’t and got rooms the other side.

We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the staff was so accommodating to my dietary needs. As a person with a gluten allergy, the staff prepared gluten-free bread items for me to eat, which was such a wonderful surprise!

Pillows :( very hard and filled to the max, which made them very "tall" breakfast: I would appreciate more warm options and vegetables! slow/poor wi-fi
