This accommodation is situated slightly out of town in a peaceful rural location. If you didn’t want to drive it was easy to book local taxis or an Uber in an evening. Our hosts were excellent, communicating via WhatsApp before and during our stay. They went above and beyond to help us locate and book good local restaurants. Even giving us a lift on one occasion. Our room was modern, light and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great, everything was presented beautifully and cooked freshly for you. During our stay our hosts provided facilities for making hot drinks fresh fruit was available and there was even a bottle of port wine for you to have a glass at the end of your evening. They also provided a well stocked drinks fridge for you to help yourself to and pay as you leave. All excellent. Would highly recommend. Our hosts were lovely.

We had the BEST short stay at Rio Noemi and honestly, if I could make it my home base and travel to the sights around, it would be MORE THAN WORTH the drive to travel to every day. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were FAMILY. We were welcomed at the car in the roomy yard by the master of the house who came to collect our luggage and take us to our rooms which were huge and airy with great views and a GIANT welcoming dog settled at our feet on the private patio. We were offered coffee and port wine,water and coffee on arrival and given a wonderful recommendation for a little restaurant right down the road. The host called to reserve us a table and we were DELIGHTED with our meal at A Petisquiera. It's a small place and we ate and drank our fill for 50€ for 3 people. The room was cool but not cold when we returned, and we snuggled under a fluffy immaculate white comforter. Breakfast was brought to our private table the next morning and included a HUGE plate of meat and cheese- several different breads and Croissants, freshly cooked eggs and the best yogurt parfait I have EVER eaten. We had fresh delicious coffee and milk. When we got ready to leave he embraced us as family members and we all wanted to stay longer.

This was a lovely gem of Guarda! Had an unexpected stop in Guarda, and we discovered Quinta do Noemi and it was the best surprise we could have had. You are welcomed in a large room (where cows used to hang out many many years ago) that is lit up with a cozy fire and warmth that you only had in your Grand Parents old cottage up in the mountains of Norway. Lovely. The staff (family run and owned place in several generations) was absolutely friendly and a great touch to this amazing place. Their breakfast was one of the best breakfast I've ever had in any accommedation - which says a lot as I have been in +200 hotels/places in the past few years with work. The area where this place is located is also stunning and many options for hikes and nature experiences.

Everything was amazing. Sr. Joaquim is super, super nice and attentive. I made a mistake with the number of guests in the reservation and they fully accommodated our request upon arrival. The apartment was a great spot to hang out with family in between sightseeing and the rooms were beautifully decorated. The breakfast was incredible, lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, bread and a variety of charcuterie. We are already planning out next visit, hopefully in the summer, to enjoy the pool and walk around the area a little bit more.

Everything.! Our host was fabulous and incredible. Greeted us when we got there and every morning at breakfast. The room was super, clean comfortable had a balcony which was a nice addition. It was out in the country which we really enjoyed. The break was fabulous with fresh juice, yogurt and great eggs. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this B&B, our host and our stay. Got great recommendations for dinner up the road which also was fantastic. One of our best B&B stays

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like

The wonderful warm welcome from the owner and all the team made this a very special stay. Attention was genuine, personalised and authentic.The extras giving us a coffee on arrival, letting us check in early and giving advice on where to go in the area and flexibility on an earlier breakfast because of an early departure were all very kind. A beautiful pool to watch the sun go down and the friendliest dog in the world to keep you company.This is a perfect place to base yourself for a few days and explore the wonderful countryside of Serra Estrella- cool and bright in summer I am sure it will be a cosy haven in winter.

This was our favourite place we stayed in 3 weeks of travelling over Portugal. Run by a very friendly family who pay a lot of attention to details. Very good homemade breakfast, with some things made fresh when you go to the room. The building is really nicely rennovated with a nice central area with a log burner. Well located close to Guarda and to do Passadiços do Mondego for which the accomodation has a lot of helpful information for things to do in the surrounding area.

Everything. The room was spacious with very good airconditioning, the pool relaxing and refreshing and the comunal living room beautifully decorated. Breakfast was served at the table and was delicious and ample, with a nice variety of locally made cheese, cold cuts, jams etc. To top all these, Quinta Noemi is run by a lovely former farmer, Joachim, who obviously enjoys his new job very much. Highly recommend.

Very pleasant converted, old granit farmhouse and courtyard. Exceedingly well done and very comfortable, clean and cared for. We were very well looked after by exceptionally pleasant people. The room and bathroom were very large and everything very nicely done. Breakfast contained a wide variety of dishes which were replenished when emptied. It is also well positioned if you wanted to explore Guarda, a much underrated, very old city.

Our SatNav was not working and the address, when trying to use a hard copy map, was not very helpful. It would help to have more local information in the directions or more signage on the ground.

Lovely, modern, spacious and comfortable room with views over the countryside surrounding it. Truly rural property only 5kms outside Guarda. Wonderful host, Joaquim(?), who recommended one of the best hiking trails we have ever done (see PS below). The breakfast was wonderful and served at time of our choosing. Couldn't speak more highly of this place and the host who came to meet us when we got lost! (PS. Recommend the Passadiços do Mondego, a wonderful 12km trek mainly on board walk in the Serra d'Estrela).
