Situated in a beautiful location, we stayed in a spacious room with its own private balcony. The room had all the amenities we needed and we enjoyed the modern walk-in shower. Breakfast was simply amazing and offered a very wide range of foods to cater to every taste and we were most impressed that on our day of departure we were offered a packed lunch as we were leaving before breakfast. Although close to beaches, there was a choice of 3 pools to pick from which we also made good use of - there was also a well equipped gym.

It’s about a 20 minute walk into the centre of Lagos but we actually enjoyed our meander back after our evening meal.

We were pleasantly surprised by the generous size of the room; the hotel is a combination of different converted villa's so the rooms vary. Loved the location of our room with private patio and direct access to the pool. Great breakfast and kind staff.

Despite the room being very large; there wasn't a closet with hanging space for dresses, and there was a TV suspended in the middle of the room right in the walkway which was a significant hazard. The beds had duvets with quilts in them that were too hot for the weather - even with aircon. It would be better to offer a sheet and a blanket so sleepers have a choice.

This hotel village is just 100 out of 10!!! We cannot remember the last time when we were so satisfied with the location, room and breakfast (as well as dinner). We arrived at the hotel on the day when Portugal experienced almost total black-out and outage, so our first evening at the hotel was a kind of adventure and unforgettable experience in total darkness and absence of mobile connection. The staff was so nice and did their best to conform the guests even in such force majeour circumstances. Luckily, at midnight the issue with electricity was successfully solved in the country and later on we could experience our stay in full. The room was just amazing, breakfast exceeded all our expectations (octopus salad, champagne, vegetables and fruit, continental hot and cold dishes, as well as excepional separate table with Portugese food and drinks). Hotel also provides dinner and we enjoyed each evening we spent in the restaurant. The staff was so nice and helpful explaining each dish and recommending certain type of wine for each evening meal. Stunning beach with beautiful cliffs is easily walkable, the old town is also pretty close to the hotel. This hotel is definitely a place we would like to return one day.

For us it was OK, but the room was frequently visited by small guests - ants :-) So, we just tried not to leave any food (especially sweets) in the room in order not to attract them even more.

This is by far the best complimentary breakfast I've ever experienced in my life. Check-in was super easy, I loved how there was complimentary parking right next to the property dedicated for hotel guests only. The bed was very comfortable and it's in a quiet area so was not disturbed at all by noise at night. Out of all the places we stayed during our 2 weeks in Portugal, this was by far the best - we will definitely recommend and be staying here again.

Only issue (but was outside of the hotel's hands) was the construction nearby closed off a few roads so the walk to downtown was a bit longer that it usually would take.

Fantastic experience - the attention to detail demonstrated from the time we checked in until we were driving away was excellent. Location was very convenient, as it was walking distance to multiple beaches, hiking trailheads, and Ponta da Piedade. Well equipped room that was kept extremely clean. Free secured parking. The onsite restaurant served an excellent breakfast with a wide variety, and dinner was surprisingly fantastic => the chef made accomodations for gluten allergies (Celiac) and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, willing to make recommendations, and genuinely interested in providing you an exceptional experience. We had such good meals we ate all our dinners at the hotel.

There should be more control at the spa to make sure there is no issues going on. I was very uncomfortable when I got there because a man and his girlfriend were completely naked in the sauna. The girlfriend covered herself when she saw me, but the man paraded naked hiding only the front, when going from the pool to the hammam and back to the pool, ack to the hammam and then to the sauna. I didn't dare going to the reception to complain as I was on holidays and just wanted positive energy, but having someone coming sometimes would be better to avoid this kind of situations. Also, having more snacks in the fridge other than drinks would be great for consumption.

Breakfast was amazing, rooms were clean, well appointed, hotel staff was very accommodating. Room was on the ground level but private. Pool was cold but staff was great about keeping it clean. Door to deck was the only light, and a motorized screen allowed for blackout sleeping and added safety.

Hotel was on the pricy side. Far, hilly, difficult to get to with suitcases, so transfer from bus or airport should be included with cost. Hallway noise was an issue. Noisy electrical panel came and went, but maintenance quickly looked at it. Also shower used a LOT of water. Lagos is in a drought. A bit disrespectful to have such high water use while rest of area suffers.

We had a lovely week here. Our apartment was spacious, clean and very well equipped with a comfortable bed, great shower room, lounge area and small kitchenette that had everything you needed. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome by everyone. The restaurant was first class with top quality food and service. Breakfast was delicious every morning and the evening meals were superb. The gardens are relaxing, well maintained and pretty with all the pot plants everywhere. The location was perfect for us, as it's just a 10 minute walk onto the coastal board walk and 15 minutes to the old town. A nice residential area with a choice of beautiful beaches to walk to. Thank you for a lovely stay and we hope to return again one day.

The only disappointment was the building works going on right next door which made it noisy at times, but that's not the fault of the village.

There was no coffee available although they supplied an old coffee maker and a Kettle. They had a lovely breakfast we paid for which did provide American coffee but they charged extra for a cappuccino or espresso. We traveled on this trip to different places and all hotels either provided an espresso machine and/or provided espresso or cappuccinos to their guests. Also, one of the reasons I booked this hotel was because of the spa services and access in the description, the day I went over, neither the sauna or the steam room was working which was a bit disappointing, but the pool was lovely so I was happy there
