Amazing breakfast. Beautiful room. Magical garden. I highly recommend staying at Uma Casa a Beira Sol. I have traveled and stayed at many hotels. This was by far the best. I decided to propose to my girlfriend during our stay. I noticed that the surrounding beaches were very crowded during the day. I reached out to the hotel and the staff recommended Camilo. I cannot thank them enough for the recommendation. It made our trip! The walk down to the beach was unreal. My girlfriend was so surprised. I cant wait for a trip back to Uma Casa. You forever have a place in my heart.

A quiet little hotel. The studio apartment had everything you needed for the stay. The grounds were perfectly conditioned and staff were really helpful in recommending places to eat and drink. They also assisted with our transfer back to airport which I really recommend you arrange before you arrive so you don’t get charged on the meter by the airport taxis. There’s a supermarket in walking distance and the historic city is about a 20/25 minute walk (but does include a steep hill) There is a gorgeous beach to visit too.

Arrange transport from the airport beforehand and avoid the airport taxis. It is a long transfer from Faro airport.

The garden is beautiful and is well maintained by all staff. This makes breakfast and hanging by the pool such a relaxing and pleasant experience. All of the staff are lovely, so friendly and willing to help with any questions you may have.

Due to the increase in construction in the area, there is a building site across the street, which you can hear sometimes in the morning. However when in the hotel you are surrounded by its beautiful garden and this makes you unaware of the construction going on outside.

We liked EVERYTHING! Probably the most charming hotel experience we had in 3 weeks of travel across Spain & Portugal, and we've loved almost every place we stayed. As my wife said, "It's an oasis!" The charm and uniqueness of these rooms is not properly conveyed by the pictures. The pictures make it look a bit "funky," but the beauty and individuality of these special, unique rooms in a truly boutique hotel are extraordinary. 5 minutes after entering the room, we tried to extend our 2 night stay for an additional night! Well removed from the tourist throng, but a 5 minute walk to the steps of the Praia dos Camilo. Marta and the rest of the staff were lovely, and the breakfast was special, customized and delivered with personal care each morning.

The property is beautiful. There is quite a lot of building work going on around it, but as soon as you step into the property it’s like being transported somewhere else. It is so luscious, green and bursting with character. The grounds are well kept, with loads of gorgeous flowers, the pool was lovely and quiet and the room was spacious and comfortable. It was a very calm and relaxing place to spend time, highly recommend. It also only took around 20 minutes to walk into town and 10 minutes to get to the nearest beach, perfect.

We stayed in room 9 and loved the quirkiness and decor. The covered private patio was awesome, especially with our breakfast served here daily. The numerous lounging areas around the property for reading and relaxing were great and the grounds so beautiful! We didnt get a chance to use the pool - not enough time! Staff were super helpful from finding us the perfect pillows late on the night of our arrival to booking a boat tour and printing out our boarding passes for us! Surprisingly in this residential neighbourhood there were a couple of restaurant options, a bar and kayak rental place, and a little market very close by.

It was a little farther outside of town than I would have liked, but obviously this cant be changed! It was nice and close to Dona Anna Beach and the boardwalk to the lighthouse though!

Breakfast was lovely as were the grounds and the pool. The room was super clean and very comfortable . I was happy not to be in the center of town .

I think that it’s important that they state that some of the rooms, especially with the views have many many steps to climb with your luggage. It’s also important to know that there is construction going on right next to the place . It was difficult to be on the balcony with all that commotion

We stayed at Uma Casa a Biera Sol for 5 nights in the Superior Suite with Sea View this April. This was by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The gardens were gorgeous, the breakfast was incredible (we craved breakfast every day.. they accommodated my gluten free diet as well) and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location is close/walking distance to everything and returning to this hotel every day was a complete sanctuary. I could not recommend this place enough.

Very pretty hotel grounds with gardens everywhere. Enjoyed having our own patio that breakfast was brought to each morning. Initially I wasn’t sure about the location as there was a bit of construction nearby but it ended up being a very nice neighborhood and short walks to nearby beaches and old town.

Not a fault of the property but there are some new roads that aren’t on maps yet so having taxis find the place got tricky right at the end.

The property is gorgeous and such a magical place! Blooming flowers everywhere make you feel like you're in a secret garden. The staff was great, the pool was great - we wish we had more time to stay there and really enjoy the whole hotel. We didn't try the breakfast but it looked great. In a quiet area which is about a 15 minute walk to town, but very close to the best beaches!

We booked two rooms under two separate reservations. I actually paid a bit more than my friends in the other reservation. You don't get to choose your rooms and they all vary greatly. Our friend's room was fantastic, with a real bedroom, vaulted ceilings, great decor and a beautiful view of the grounds and even the ocean. Our room was down below on the first floor, was divided by curtains, was MUCH smaller, and much less enjoyable (although adequate). It just seemed strange that we were charged more (by just a few dollars) for a much lesser room - but even if they were the same price, it was strange the varied so much in quality. As all of the rooms are so different, it would be nice to be able to choose your room when you book so you know what to expect.
