Good location,good bed and cleanes.

There is no communication with the host. He never answered a single message or a single call. It would have meant an earlier check-in, but the host did not respond to any of the communication options offered.

Nice hotel, really good value for money - cheap clean and comfortable. Orange juice and complimentary biscuits there on arrival. Very easy to get in and out at all hours (for early trains etc.) Just up the road from a very lovely cafe for breakfasts.

It was a bit strange having to book in completely on line - but it was easy to do and worked well, just took some getting used to and wasn't completely clear that that was what we'd booked onto. Also, our room key PIN was the same as the outdoor door PIN which gelt like it could have been a bit of a security issue if everyone had that. But other than that it felt clean, safe and secure.

The room was very clean, with a modern bathroom and a super comfy bed. We also appreciated the self check-in process through the app – really easy and convenient. The location is excellent, right in the city centre, which made exploring Porto very simple.

The only downside was the early check-in option. It’s just one hour earlier than the standard check-in time, which doesn’t help much if you arrive in the morning. It would be great to have the possibility to check in around 11 AM, especially for early arrivals.

The staff was super friendly and provided me with all the answers I needed, whether when I needed a flat iron or when I needed a quite space to work for a couple of hours. The room is great, I had a twin room on the 6th and highest floor with even a view where I could spot the famous bridge. Location is great as it is a couple of minutes away from the theatre square with busy bars and restaurants.

The bathroom is the weak link of the hotel, there is no water receiver and if you take a shower the whole floor of the bathroom (and at times part of the room) gets soaked.

This hotel was excellent for its price and delivered above what was expected. Prior to our arrival, I had requested a hair dryer in my booking; they gave this to me at check in without me even needing to ask for it. The reception was manned 24/7 which the staff were lovely and helpful as I had to check in very late at night. The room was large and very clean, the bed was comfortable and there was lots of space. The toilet was clean, the water pressure on the shower worked great, there were no issues with drainage in the shower and the towels were clean and neat. The rooms were tidied every day and the A/C worked well. The hotel is one street away from a main tourist area, so it is quiet but very convenient.

There were only two charging ports and one was in the corridor area of the room (so not too convenient to charge your phone), but that wasn't too big of a deal.

Herculano is in a perfect location. Very clean and great value for money if you are looking for this price range. The room is easy to access and so are communications with booking provider. There are no staff onsite. Would stay here again if solo travelling. If you’re looking for a place to stay like a hotel, then this is only a room with a code.

Noise corridor but not a deal breaker

The location was great (extremely close to the center). The room was the right size, and toilets as well. It was quite modern and secured (with a code instead of a key). It was very minimalistic which was good in terms of cleaning and tidying the place.

A small desk might do the trick with maybe a plant and a coffee machine (there's no kitchen whatsoever and no kitchen utensils. This could help a bit.

The online check in was easy enough and in addition one of the cleaning staff let me into my room an hour early since I have yet to receive my door code, she was lovely and I’m thankful for her help. The Wi-Fi worked great and the bed was comfy and super soft and having an AC was nice. Overall a simple, good value accommodation.

Wished there was a small bin in the room.

The automatized entry was convenient, without necessity to go through reception.

If window opened it would have been more comfortable, I write this review late (after 2 months or 1 month after using your service) however If I recall correctly it did not open fully, it only opened partially or not at all which was a bit uncomfortable.

The location is outstanding, the center of the city is a short walk. The room was clean, well lit and with a great view on the 4th floor of the Duoro River. A bathroom I have never seen before, a pod within the room, was fine and spacious. Breakfast was Continental with many options was a great bargain.

That I couldn't take this hotel and its staff to all the places I stayed on this trip.
