Overall we had a great stay. The staff are wonderful and helpful. The breakfast is good (enough choice for us). Location is good too for the Bridge area and getting to both sides.

Only real issue we had was the electrics - switching on the bathroom light turned all the room lights off..every time! The switches just didn’t make sense. The room was hot and difficult to control the temperature but otherwise great place for a long weekend.

We opted for the eco stay, opting not to have the room serviced, saving in laundering of sheets and towels and vacuuming etc. Only a few coffee pods were supplied for two people staying 3 nights. When asking for more coffee we were denied as we had opted not to have the room serviced. It was considered more ecological not to provide coffee. This one ridiculous rule tarnished what would have been a great hotel. One power hungry man ruined it for the the other brilliant team members. If regular guests want coffee, give them coffee.

The property is located in a very nice place with the easy access to everywhere walking, the staff were exceptional and amazing, the breakfast is also very good. I also loved the tentativeness of the staff and the fact that they went out of their way to make sure you have everything you need.

The only downside is it said the property has a pool, it is a very big stretch to call what they have a pool, it’s more like a cold water dunk, i’d rather than that I can’t really think of anything bad about the property

Gorgeous room, well equipped bathroom, loads of charging points, lovely restaurant, bar and outside space. Unclear what was complimentary in room , the water not in a fridge it seems. Gorgeous, place, decor fab and very comfortable.

Slightly further out of town for us, not a bad walk, but I'd consider somewhere closer next time. The air con could not be turned off unfortunately just had to change the temp, room 304 it could be fixed very easily. After 3 nights we still struggled to work out the light switches. Turning on the bathroom turned out the bedroom and the opposite which was annoying if you were in the shower.

The breakfast was excellent - we like to have a good choice of fresh food for that first meal of the day. Location was perfect for us as we were within walking distance of all the main attractions. LIked having a courtyard garden at the hotel and the fact that our room had a balcony overlooking the back of the hotel and this garden. Fantastic view of the city from the 6th floor swimming pool area.

Good location, short walk to many intreresting places. Nice staff, clean and good layout. Great to sit in the garden.

During the working hours there was constant high frequencey noice from a neighboring building. Staff told me they had tried to contact the owner the days before but without success. I would have liked them to try harder as this made it almost impossible to stay on the balcony or in the garden.

Perfect location! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the modern facility and a wonderful atmosphere. The room was very clean, with comfortable bed and pillows. It was also very quiet. We didn’t hear our neighbors or street noise. The breakfast had a great variety of food/drinks and Joana (server) was so kind and helpful. Thank you Joana for making our stay even pleasant.

Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the overall look of the hotel is very pleasing inside. The room was very clean and we appreciated all the thoughtful touches - tea/coffee, bottled water and chocolates on the bed! The bathroom was also spotless and well supplied. We enjoyed the balcony off our bedroom, although maybe the view could be better. There is no doubt that the hotel is very welcoming and I loved the glass of port offered to you while waiting to book in at reception. Also appreciated were the bottles of water given to us for our onward journey on our day of departure.

The air conditioning was very noisy and absolutely impossible to control from the room. We wanted a cool room, but ended up with the room being very cold and it wasn't something that we could change. We did speak to reception about it and they informed us that they could control it for us. However, whatever they did never seemed to last longer than 10 minutes. The lighting is too complicated for the "weary" traveller and twice we were plunged into darkness in the bathroom because one of us had switched something else on ... we never figured it out. Although the hotel is supposed to be in a convenient spot for the tourist parts of Porto, the street and local surrounding area do not invite you to take a walk outside in the evening.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. A special mention for João, who makes excellent cocktails! We spent a rainy afternoon challenging his cocktail knowledge and he met the challenge! Room was large and comfortable. Bathroom and shower good. Coffee/tea facilities in the room. Breakfast was very good - lots of choice and the kitchen makes omelettes, etc to order. The garden area was peaceful and comfortable. We enjoyed drinks out there several times. Reception team are very helpful and friendly.

The pool! I booked this hotel because it had a roof pool. Actually, it's only about 30cm deep and very small. Difficult to get in and out for people with mobility issues. There was bird mess all around the edges of the pool, and only 6 sunbeds, one of which was broken. Very disappointed! The restaurant had a limited range of food and it was quite expensive. The location is slightly away from the centre and there's not much around it to buy bottled water and snacks. About a 7-10 min walk to restaurants and shops.

We love this chain of hotels and have stayed in one of them before. The rooms are tastefully done with luxurious touches such as bathrobes, slippers, nice toiletries and great sheets. We did ask for two single beds and when we got to our room we had to share a double bed. This was very uncomfortable but they did change it the next day. That was a shame as we only had the two nights. So maybe there was a communication breakdown. The only other issue was the coffee maker kept jamming so we were unable to have decaf coffee. The pods for the decaf jammed the machine each day. Maybe a new machine? The staff are professional, helpful and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our stay and will return.

The room we requested with two single beds wasn’t what we got. They did change it for the second night.
