The hotel has a perfect location on the banks of Douro River, in a quiet area that is very close to the istoric center. We had great views from the room day and night. The bathroom was large enough and very practical. The room had a good size, was clean and tidy. Comfortable beds. The staff is nice and welcoming.

1. The reception is small and has an untidy, old, crowed aspect. That's a pity because the reception is the first thing you notice when you enter a hotel. 2. There was an odour in the room that resembled mold, but probably it was due to the humidity in the area, as there was no visible mold in the room. We have to mention that we reached the hotel in day of the Iberic peninsula electricity blackout, and the lack of ventilation might be a factor. 3. The couches in the breakfast area smelled bad. 4. The family rooms are not quite family rooms. You have to exit a room to get into the other.

Excellent location and fantastic view from our room. While we had bad weather the roof top bar (not open in March) and panoramic roof terrace looked great. Staff very friendly.

The temperature control on the shower in our bathroom didn’t regulate the temperature correctly. It was always boiling hot or cold. The TV has a set volume which is too low.

The rooftop views are exceptional, the breakfast in the dining room was lovely. 5-10 minute walk along the river to the waterfront action like restaurants and street entertainers. Comfy bed, clean & nice room, you’re paying for the view. Lovely staff.

We couldn’t order food and beverage room service, as there’s no onsite restaurant.

The hotel is superb in terms of both location and facilities. The main Dom Luis bridge and the funicular was just 6minutes easy level walk away! Our room (103) was large with two Juliette balconies with a direct view of River Douro and bridges. We booked B&B. Breakfast was super and the range (both continental and cooked) was very good. We also loved the freshly cooked pastel de nata. Whilst the hotel doesn’t have a day or night time restaurant; it didn’t worry us as there are several good restaurants alongside the riverbank to suit all purses. Lastly the staff were attentive and good! In particular, Yasmin on Reception, who greeted us when we arrived. She also gave us a map and some detailed helpful information to make the most of our three day stay in Porto!

The location was absolutely beautiful! It was conveniently located to the river shops and restaurants, but not too close.

My shower was missing its glass door, and the bathroom floor got wet when I showered, so I had to lay an extra towel down. They should fix that. The room darkening blinds were not all that darkening. They let a fair amount of light in.

Lovely room with a European flare opposite the Douro river. Comfortable bed and pillows. Little balcony to enjoy the view.

We didn’t have breakfast included but went down one day, 15 euros each and not much selection. Do yourself a favour and venture out in Porto and get your own breakky.

The hotel team greeted us with Port wine! The view from the hotel is amazing and all the rooms have a great view. We had a balcony and it was nice to be able to stand directly in the sun. We appreciated the minifridge, mini-kitchen with full sink, electric cooktop, and water kettle. The location of the hotel is far enough removed from the tourist area closer to the bridge, so it's a little quieter. There are a couple of restaurants fairly nearby on the road heading towards the bridge. They provided us with bathrobes, which was a nice touch! The room was very clean and housekeeping happily accommodated our needs for cleaning later in the day (instead of morning). It was extremely fast and easy to get a taxi either just by walking outside to the road, or by asking the hotel to call one for you. The hotel kindly kept our luggage on our last day after the checkout, since we had a later flight.

There are no mini-markets (mini-mercado) for small grocery items or water within walking distance. We wish the hotel had a convenience store inside of it, to accommodate the needs of guests. For anything you need, the answer is usually "go to the bar," but they do not have all products there of course. The bed was a little too firm for us. The laundry prices were high per piece so we did not use it. The mini kitchen was great, but there were no dish soap products or utensils or pots and pans; so, essentially that whole area becomes just an extra sink. Since there are no markets in easy walking distance from the hotel, make sure you bring those things with you.

We had a room with a view of water way it was just beautiful. Balcony beautiful. Could us a chair or two?? would have loved to have my coffee out there! But really beautiful. It fit 3 adults just fine.

All was awesome no complaints. Close to all and like I said it had beautiful views. the staff was helpful, spoke English and helped when needed and the place was clean and I wish I could have stayed longer.

The room was spacious and clean, though the latter is expected of any hotel. We enjoyed the view. It is very close to Ponte Luis and the docks, though quite a bit of an uphill journey to the city center. We were pleasantly surprised by the little chocolate candy we found in our room upon arrival and a free bottle of water.

The heating system was very loud, especially if we left it running overnight. It rained a lot during our stay, our shoes were completely drenched, and with the way the HVAC system was situated, we were not able to fully dry our shoes and clothes overnight. We also found it weird that the bathroom did not have ventilation or a simple toilet brush? It was a bit awkward.
