This hotel meets all the expectations for a first time visit to Porto. Good location, well maintained facilities, and clean room with AC. Most notably, the staffs set the quality of the hotel. They are professional, efficient and give warm welcoming that making you feel comfortable throughout your stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

1) Location: vibrant and central but quiet in the hotel rooms; Porto is a really clean city, but shabby in places (part of its charm!); great sunset from the balcony rooms (although even better to walk 5mins down to the bridge and watch over the river); easy 10min walk to traditional food market (great for chilled vibes, walk round with a glass of delicious but cheap wine and eat the freshest seafood or local cheese from cones!) ; the new Time Out market for a variety of superb hot food stalls- Portuguese restaurant classics as well as incredible sushi, Brusco Burgers and Okra for traditional and Portuguese-style pizza toppings), served quickly, good for different tastebuds and no need to reserve, loads of tables for relaxed eating and no rush to leave; train station for selection of great restaurants (book Tapabento in advance is a must- it’s worth it!) 2) Tourist sights- the tower worth every euro for spectacular views and the riverside stroll by night is stunning; cable car is great fun to get up high/low easily; No1 tram (or taxi for saving time as long queue) down to the beach. Praia de Luz is an amazing spot to sit and watch the crashing waves. The gardens at the art gallery is very green, shady and a lovely treetop walk. Uber needed but worth it as a contrast to the city. Base cafe rooftop garden next to the tower is great for cool vibes and a glass of Porto Tonica or cold Superbock. 3) Immaculate hotel is small but charming, cool, fun decor; staff have a wealth of knowledge and very proud of Porto. Don’t hesitate to ask for advice on attractions and restaurants. Very talented bar staff, with an extensive, exceptional cocktails and mocktails. The comfortable bar kept drawing us back! Breakfast also well worth it, a very relaxing start to the day, great hot and cold continental options, restocked frequently and very grateful to see allergens (including nuts and peanuts) listed on all buffet items.

Breakfast selection could be better. Also, and this doesn’t apply to the hotel’s staff, but to a service provided by the hotel - transfer from the airport. The driver didn’t take us directly to the hotel, but was driving to the “must see places”. This is something we didn’t know and didn’t consent to. It was 10PM and we were tired, but even if we weren’t, this is unacceptable. We were two women and it didn’t add to our feeling of safety at all.

I had a fantastic stay at Se Catedral from start to finish. Every single member of staff was so polite even offering to run to the shop for me when I started my period late at night and was without a pad! This was my first solo travel and I felt really safe. On the first night I got a call from reception to my room to check I was ok and to remind me to get in touch if I needed anything. The rooms were impecable and the bed and pillows soooo comfortable. The food is also excellent and the bar/restaurant has a great vibe on Friday and Saturday evenings and great music. Honestly I can’t say enough. Aside from all that the location was perfect. Between the beautiful Sao Bento station, a castle and the Luis Bridge! I will definitely be back. Thank you!

The property was central to the city and situated right next to the Metro and mainline train stations. There was also a taxi rank nearby and several bus stops. There were several places to eat nearby. The hotel provided an excellent and varied breakfast and there is a bistro and bar within so that drinks and food were available without having to leave the hotel. There was also live entertainment in the bar area on certain nights. The hotel was tastefully furnished. We were there to celebrate a birthday and had our room upgraded by Rogerio who was an excellent host providing detailed directions and restaurant recommendations plus making bookings and reservations. He and Lauren arranged a surprise birthday celebration at breakfast with champagne cake and balloons! We could not fault them or the staff at the hotel. We will definitely stay there again and recommend the hotel to our friends. Thank you Rogerio for everything 😁

Pros: 1. The hotel is located right in the city center. It’s convenient for walking, dining, and sightseeing. 2. Very clean and cozy. 3. Comfortable bed. 4. There is a coffee machine, water, tea, and coffee. Welcome pastries were also provided.

Cons: 1. I don’t know if it was just our room or everywhere, but the soundproofing from the street was very poor. And since this is the historic city center, there is a lot of noise. 2. During check-in, they wanted to charge an additional €70 or so, something like a deposit, but I didn’t understand what for. After I refused, they charged us exactly the price that was stated on Booking.

Breakfast was very good, great selection of food.location was excellent from a tourist perspective. I had a room with a view which was great, there was a slight amount of street noise, but that wasn’t a problem at all. The room and bathroom were very nice.

I asked hotel to book me a taxi to take me to the station a 10 minute drive away. The driver arrived in a flashy Tesla, was very polite and obliging, but charged me a ridiculous price for the ride. in future I’ll make it clear I want a TAXI. this short ride cost me a lot more than the taxi ride from the airport to the hotel, a much longer distance.

Rogério Martins, the Guest Experience Manager, was incredibly patient and helpful throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to assist us with booking attractions and restaurants, ensuring we made the most of our visit. The hotel itself is perfectly located in the city center, making it easy to explore everything on foot. From shops to cafes, everything is just a short stroll away. The room was spotless and comfortable, providing a cozy retreat after a long day of sightseeing. What truly stood out was the attention to detail and the welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. It’s a gem I would recommend to everyone looking for a memorable stay. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this fantastic hotel! 10/10 stars!

Nothing I dislike about. Everything is perfect!

Great location - just across the street from the cathedral and around the corner of the Ponte Luis bridge. The staff is nice and friendly, breakfast is very good, with hot options and tiny pasteis de nata (super delicious). The room was cozy, very comfy beds, good sleep.

The door to the balcony in the room didn't open, there was a note "to call a staff if you want to open it", that's weird😅 There is no kettle, we had to get the hot water for tea from the coffeemaker - not much of a problem, but I would prefer a kettle. The bridge is just around the corner, and while it's pretty neat, it can be a bit louder then you would expect. Every time the train goes across it - you hear it from the room, like a smooth "hoosh". It wasn't a problem for me, but if someone is a sensitive sleeper - it might bother a bit

For anyone who likes a variety of choice at breakfast that is fresh, abundant and interesting, it is highly recommended. The setup is great and innovative, modern, warm and Staff are also quick at replenishing whilst being attentive too, to any questions clients may have given the very attractive layout and display of food. The room was very spacious, really well lit with lots of light options, a great view and extremely central to Porto. Close to all major vantage views, the Cathedral, the Louis bridge and everywhere else is within walking distance...whilst also being away from the superbusiness of the crowds and yet so close to all the hot spots. Also use of the Metro...a few metres away (Sao Bento), whilst the transportation systems in Porto are very efficient and easy to use.
