Fantastic central location. Bright and airy. Spotlessly clean. Well equipped. Comfortable beds.

Only one small issue and that is that we had the ground floor apartment (left of reception) and the stairwell runs through the middle of it so those sleeping in the front bedroom could hear other guests on the upper floors coming and going, including lugging their cases up and down early one morning which woke us. Not sure what can be done about this with the building layout. Maybe some softer floor covering in the stairs or a polite reminder to the upper floor guests. Maybe we were just unlucky that they had an early checkout and were a bit noisy.

You need to promote what an excellent location this is, because it is right at the top of the hill you can use the funicular railway, which is only a few hundred metres away. Staying half way up the hill would have been really hard to get to. Within 200 metres you are on top of the famous iron bridge, which means you could effortlessly get to the other side of the Duoro River. The Apartment was modern and clean with a large belt bathroom and kitchen area. It had everything you need for a holiday and the apartment was cleaned and towels changed once in our four night stay.

A shelve in the bathroom for cosmetics, a basket in the shower for toiletries and hooks to hang things on. Also somewhere to keep your individual towel in your bedroom, a couple of hooks would suffice.

the breakfast was so generous and delicious, we couldn't eat all that was served. I loved how central it was in the historic center of Porto. Walking access to everything we wanted to see for our first visit.

Trying to find the entry/front door was extremely difficult. We had a rental car and were not familiar with the narrow streets of this city. A taxi would have got us there just fine, however, we were relying on our navigation and kept missing the street, which looked like a sidewalk next to the cathedral. There is no way we could have understood we could drive on that narrow of a path. We had to ask a taxi driver to lead us and our rental car to the front door. It was an adventure, but it would have been helpful if the property manager gave us some direction in this regard.

Fantastic location. Well decorated and equipped.

The drainage in the property was very poor. The upstairs bathroom sink was very very slow to drain and smelt. The ground floor shower was the same and if used for some time would have flooded the bathroom. This was pointed out to the receptionist who said the cleaner would look in to it but it was the same after the cleaner had been.

This was our second visit to Oporto Comfort Dom Hugo apartments, our first time in the Superior Duplex Apartment and it was just fantastic. The location is incredible, being so close to the metro and the bridge for the cost is amazing. The staff were great, we dropped our bags off early in the day and were given a map with their local suggestions on. We went to try a Francesinha from their suggestion. The apartment was super clean and was just perfect. We will be back again for sure.

The best thing about it is location - I couldn't think of better one! Spacious nice apartment that had kitchen merged with living room and separate bedroom. Fully stocked kitchen could be excellent for long stays. Overall very quite location (except for the crackling sound - see below). Very nice, helping and welcoming stuff.

The worst was the crackling sound from the roof that started at the middle of the night. It wasn't constant - few seconds of that sound followed by 10-30 seconds of silence - I haven't slept half night because of it. If not for that - I'd give 10 out of 10 to this property. My guess - missing sound insulation between inner wooden roof and outer tin cover. Wi-Fi can support only one device - after connecting my wife's phone I couldn't connect my laptop (and it was OK - I checked that by connecting to Wi-Fi hot-spot on cellphone). There were many narrow high stairs that we had to climb to get to our room (3rd floor with no lift). The hand-shower was leaking, though rain-head worked nice, so no big issue here.

Quiet area & great location. Beautiful recently refurbished apartment. Spotlessly clean with excellent facilities. Plenty of towels & toilet rolls, bodywash & handsoap, hairdryer, coffee machine with pods, tea bags & water in the fridge. Reception staff very helpful & stored our luggage on arrival & departure. Would highly recommend 👌

There was nothing negative to say about this accommodation. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a city break.

Breda, the manager was very helpful and warm. The apartment was vert comfortable for two of us. The building is jut a few meters away from the Porto cathedral (first built in the 13th century). The kitchenette had all the basics for cooking, though we opted to eat most meals in the diverse restaurants of Porto. A nice continental breakfast was brought to our door at 8:30 each morning.

A lot of stairs (I counted 28) to get to the first floor…a concern for those with knee problems.

Fantastic location right on the doorstep to the Cathederal. The apartment worked really well for 2 couples as it had 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were close to restaurants and the river which was fabulous.

Not the locations fault, but google maps took us on a nightmare trip and had difficulty work out where it was. The property is located just near the stained glass museum but we continually got sent elsewhere.

Very clean and comfortable apartment located right behind the Cathedral and walking distance to the riverfront restaurants. Brenda on reception was welcoming and helpful providing a local map with shopping, attractions and eateries. She also booked a last minute airport transfer which was very reasonably priced.

There is some construction going on right outside the apartment just now so we were woken early with trucks and workmen.
