The staff was very helpful and answered all our questions promptly. The location was good, very close to the river. Getting the keys was very easy and the instructions clear. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. A good choice for a few days in Porto

The bathroom was small, and the shower even smaller, a bit claustrophobic. Also, the shower leaked into the rest of the bathroom. The windows didn't cancel noise much, but we could live with it. The apartment had humidity, the windows were almost always foggy. Because of it it smelled a bit musty.

Were were met by a very polite and pleasant agent who let us in, handed over the keys and was very helpful in giving us advice about the local area and restaurants. Our apartment (booked for 2 adults and a teenage son) was on the 1st floor up a flight of narrow steel steps, (no lift for those that would require one), and not a problem for us. The Apartment - Front Studio / Bedroom: Colourful, nicely furnished and decorated (we loved the bare original brickwork, which also kept the room cool in the heat), quite bright with the lights on, and brighter still when the windows that overlooked the narrow cobbled street below were opened. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. The Bathroom: A good size, hosting a fantastic shower. The Kitchen: Again a good size, (although not big enough to eat in) featured all the required appliances, cupboards with pots, pans, dishware etc, everything in newish condition. Location: Exceptional, Outstanding, located in perhaps the heart of the river area, just a tad away, up from the main river sights. (only 200 steps down to the "Cubic Statue" and the hustle and bustle on the river front where there is a myriad array of restaurants, shops, street artists, views of the bridge and the opposite river bank). Supplies: Close by are few small corner stores selling all the basic food requirements, Beer, Wine etc... Eating out: So so many to choose from everywhere, but at the top of the street (right, out of the front door) are some great little gems / local restaurants. The Apartment overall: Amazing value for the location, clean throughout, a little worn and tired in places, but perfect for our 3 Night visit. Security: Despite of the lack of a safe, the front door had "Fort Knox" style locks and appeared very secure. FYI The narrow street outside is a main thoroughfare leading down to the river and up towards central town, so can be noisy at night. Again no problem for us.

The apartment: A little musty on arrival, it could have been aired. The shower: FANTASTIC but would have benefited with a handle on the inside of the door to prevent water leaking out onto the floor. Perhaps a few more towels. Bedding: Pillows - subjective, but we found them similar to bricks. Kitchen: A little short of crockery and basics condiments. The Apartment - Front Studio / Bedroom: As the apartment has a full on kitchen, it would be great to have a slightly bigger table to eat on and a few more chairs. Overall: Being very picky, in parts a little tired, could do with a little TLC, curtains could be hung nicely. Kitchen drawer fronts fixed, It's the "Little things that count"

The location of this place is unbeatable, the value for money is great. Very comfortable apartment with a complete kitchen, a bath and a nice large room that includes the living space, a couch that can be turned into a bed. We were a couple with a baby and were perfectly comfortable. The apartment is situated on the second floor, so when traveling with a baby you would better have a stroller that can be closed or separated to be easily lifted doing the stairs. Very comfortable, with a TV inside in case of bad weather, and really close to everything from Ribeira avenue 4min to the Luis I Bridge 5min and 3 min from the amazing San Francisco Church UNESCO heritage. Walking distance to the Porto Cathedral (Se do Porto), very nice bars and restaurants of all types nearby, a mini-market just downstairs on the corner. I would definitely return to Porto as it was a great city and certainly this will be my choice again. The staff was very nice, they have an office near the Sao Bento station so we left the luggage and backpacks there for free for a few hours after the check out till our train timetable so we could go around and enjoy the city for a few more hours.

Hands down the best location. A lot of bars, restaurants and sightseeings in just a few minutes walk. Is a cute apartment. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

The apartment is very humid, and the smell is noticeable since the moment you enter. Windows are thin and not sealed, so you hear everything from outside. Shower door is not sealed, so expect a flood when you go for a shower.

Amazing location and apartment! Perfect really. You can even drive up the alley with a compact car to drop off or pick up luggage. Safe and secure apartment. Great amount of space with two rooms for sleeping, the main one being the living and dining space. Well appointed kitchen with a washing machine for laundry. Comfortable beds and couch. Finally, a very cool outdoor terrace behind the building is a neat place to view the city or just explore.

So whats not to like? First, parking in this area is difficult and expensive. Second, one must be in very good physical condition to manage a 4th floor (by US counting) walk-up with very steep steps. Third, the tunnel to the base of the Luis I bridge is 100m below the apartment and vehicles love to honk horns and rev engines at all hours. It can make sleeping a little difficult.

Perfect location, and amazing value.

A little more attention to detail would make this perfect - shower needs sealing as it leaks. Some stains on walls/curtains. But for what we paid and location we could overlook this.

The location was excellent (if you don't have a car). The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fine and basically everything you would need.

It was a bit hard being on the top floor with small kids. Some of the chairs were broken and we never got the TV to work.

Very nice area. never felt out of place or nervous.

Lots of stairs. Which is fine if you can pack your luggage. That is not a negative review as we were told prior no lift so we were prepared. But just warning you. Narrow and steep stairways.
