Location was perfect, 2 mins walk to Ribeira, away from the crowds but close enough to visit whenever you wanted to. There is a bus stop and taxi rank right outside the front door of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was modern and very clean with fresh towels every day and bed linnen changed frequently. A complimentary half bottle of wine on arrival and chocolates or biscuits left every day. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of freshly cooked eggs, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cold meats, cheeses, pastries and bread. Tea, coffee, fresh orange juice and bubbles. We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

The breakfast that was included was very nice and the staff was very helpful. I was so happy we chose the junior suite with the balcony (room # 4.5). Even though the balcony was very small, it provided a very nice outdoor space to enjoy the amazing weather (end of May). While we preferred to use Uber to get around, it was very convenient to have a taxi stand right outside the door, as sometimes it was just faster to grab a cab. Walking to the Ribeira area was super easy and we found plenty of shops and restaurants very conveniently located to the hotel (check out the restaurant Solar do Patio, right around the corner, it was amazing!!!).

The elevator only went to the 3rd floor, so there was still a flight of stairs to walk up in order to get to our room (#4.5). That seemed odd, but the staff was super helpful in getting our bags up and down the stairs. I wish they had offered a regular sized cup of coffee as those Nespresso pods barely made a full shot of espresso. But the electric tea kettle was awesome and we used it a lot (having brought my own tea bags).

We really enjoyed our stay at the Porto River Infante Hotel. The location is excellent—just a block back from the riverfront, making it easy to pop in and out throughout the day and walk to most places in the city. The rooms were cute and the beds very comfortable, with great water pressure in the shower. We also appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make a birthday special by bringing out a candle at breakfast—such a thoughtful touch.

Breakfast was fine, with sparkling wine, juice, coffee, and typical European options, but it was a bit meager compared to other hotels we stayed at. The hallways and stairwells could get a bit loud, with echoing footsteps and doors that slam shut. It never woke us up, but we could tell when people were walking by.

The location of the property and view from balcony was excellent. We loved the access to streaming services via television for those times we just wanted to sit back and relax after a long day walking up and down hills of Porto!

It’s a small thing really, but better coffee making facilities would have been appreciated. Milk should be provided - even UHT would have been okay. We stayed twice and the second room we were in didn’t have a kettle, so at 3 in the morning (to take our flight home) we had no coffee at all. Otherwise, great hotel.

Great location, good size rooms, very quiet, excellent breakfast, most staff very friendly and helpful

Major complaint was with the male person on the front desk. He was quite disinterested and unhelpful. One of our group asked for ice for drinks in his room but was told there was none available! We had also arranged a late check out. When it was 5 minutes past the normal check out time he rang and told us in an abrasive manner that we should have already checked out. His attitude was not helpful at all which is a shame as all the other staff were delightful and very accommodating.

The location was close to the river and historic sites all within walking distance.

Breakfast was from 8-11. There never seemed to be enough staff to keep things replenished. Coffee was in a small carafe and guests had to keep asking for more. It seems like breakfast should start at 7 or 7:30 because so many have to be told to wait till 8:00 for even coffee. Coffee could be put out in a larger container and be available at 6:00 am on. The location was noisy at night due to road construction. Make sure to have ear plugs or white noise so you can sleep.

We had such an amazing time at this hotel! The staff were super welcoming, always smiling, and ready to help. Big thanks to the receptionist for showing us to our room and making us feel at home. We loved the gift bottle of Port wine, it was delicious and made our stay even more special! The location was perfect, right in the city center, making it easy to explore everything Porto has to offer. The room was modern, spotless, and had a stunning view. Breakfast was tasty. We also really appreciated the early check-in and being able to leave our bags after checkout, it made exploring the city so much easier. Overall, a peaceful and cozy hotel that made our Valentine’s trip unforgettable. Highly recommend, and we’d definitely stay again!

Breakfast was tasty, though a bit limited, maybe in the future to add more options of selection, but still a great start to our day. Everything else was perfect.

Great location just a few minutes from the river, luxurious hotel retaining a historic feel. Room was spacious and we had a view of the street. Breakfast was great - good selection and freshly made eggs cooked to order. Best things - comfy bed, breakfast til 11am and checkout at 12 - so we had lovely lazy and relaxed mornings and ate well ready for lots of walking in this picturesque city. Really recommend.

Nothing, it was lovely. Some noise from the street (not the hotel’s fault!) as it was warm and we had our window open rather than use the AC.

The hotel is relatively new but the building is very old. Everything is very nicely restored and clean - just be aware that this is a boutique hotel in an old building, hence not all amenities of a modern or larger hotel can be provided. If you value character and a great location, this hotel is for you. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite large and very clean.

Some of our rooms were only accessible via stairs (due to the "old building" situation). This was not really clear upon reservation, could be an issue for some people. Also, some of the rooms had little or very little space to place clothes and stuff. Breakfast buffet was quite small for this hotel category, but - except for coffee and bread - quality overall was good. They should really invest in a proper coffee machine for breakfast, the quality that is provided is insufficient. I am rating a charitable 9 overall because these negatives were not decisive for me.

Had an exceptional stay here: cannot praise it enough, from the cleanliness of the room, to the friendliness of the staff, to the perfect location near the riverfront and across the road from the Bolsa Palace. 10/10 would recommend for fellow travelers, particularly for those looking for a safe area and a modern/clean place in which to stay.

Cannot think of anything, really: perhaps a bigger fridge int he room, if I have to be nitpicky. Otherwise, we were happy with everything. The check-in and check-out process were also both very smooth.
