Room was cozy and clean, with a nice character added by the nautical accent of the decor. The location is wonderful: it's less than 10 minutes from the conference center, metro station and most of the touristic attractions, and good places where to eat. The staff was wonderful in making me feel welcome, providing me with suggestions on what to do and experience for my short stay. They were always very attentive to see if anything was needed, and they were very helpful with advice on transportation by offering to book a late night taxi to catch a very early morning flight on my last day. The place overall has a very nice decor, it's very clean as I noticed that was daily very well taken care of, and they offer small things that helps making one feel more comfortable (free filtered water, coffee and tea at market price, they have an iron and ironing board if needed). I took advantage of the breakfast and it was very lovely, it is abundant and freshly made and I definitely advise to try as it can be arranged on a day-to-day base. Definitely a recommended place, with good value!

This has nothing to do with the hotel, just a note for other travelers regarding the area: the location is the heart of the tourist life of Port, as I experienced. If you are on a business trip for a conference and you have troubles with nightly noises, maybe this is not ideal, although it is such a lovely place and so close to the convention center. To me it did not matter, as I don't have troubles sleeping, but just letting other travelers know in case this might be helpful.

Great location and view onto river and over to Vila Nova de Gaia. Constant boat traffic on the river and people enjoying cafes/ restaurants along the riverside. We had a balcony so great to sit out with a glass of wine and enjoy. I knew on booking the room was narrow and the bed was against the mirrored wall but it really wasn’t a problem as the bed was a decent size. I also understand the limitations to renovating traditional houses and the narrowness of the building was evident from the outside.

Caution to people allergic to Mosquitos. I heard that all too familiar ‘buzz’ and suffered bites. So use repellent.

The property was easy to find with a clear sign outside. Bruna, a young lady host, was exceptionally helpful and allowed me to D lock my bicycle in the property to a metal structure (which was important to me as leaving a bicycle outside overnight would mean a high probability of theft ! The room was facing the street (not the river) and was immaculately clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower and loo were deluxe. Breakfast was plentiful and lovely. You could see down at the bustling restaurant below and I was fascinated by the washing hanging up outside the opposite high rised properties. I enjoyed the fact that a fellow host at the property ( a young man) had to use Google to try to answer my two queries, relating to posting of my holiday post cards, which were: 1) What colour are the Portuguese post boxes? 2) Where is the nearest post box? Well the young man could not find out from Goggle. However I asked an older member of public (Portuguese) on my bicycling travels who said the answers were: 1) Red 2) There are few post boxes about (unlike in the U.K.) so go to a local post office or a supermarket (which has a red sign outside saying “Correios”).

Everything was brilliant. Only issue was I did not understand how to work the complex coffee machine so user instructions would be helpful. No English tea teabags!!! All the other B&B’s had them. Bruna said we do not stock them as no one likes English tea. I strongly suggest you get some as English holiday makers love a nice brew! Luckily I brought my own Yorkshire teabags and a kettle!

It was very clean with a great view of the river.

It was barely big enough for the very small bed. No room to walk around the bed or even open our suitcases. The ceiling fan and light did not work. Even though reported never got fixed. It rained a lot and water leaked in through the bottom of the balcony doors so the carpet was wet the whole time. The roof leaked and there was constant dripping on the beams in the ceiling.

We loved the location. It is where everything is happening. Street vendors, musicians, restaurants and the ever changing view of the Douro River. Because you are above the action it is not a quiet location. We like being in the center of the action where it is easy to join the activities. The street sounds were part of the charm for us. We loved our host Breno who was happy to help with anything we needed including luggage and an uber ride. He is well suited in the hospitality industry.

The room is very small and with luggage and two people a tight squeeze. It would be brighter to have wooden floor instead of the rug.

the stairs are treacherous- not just narrow, steep and shallow space to put your foot, both the height and depth are irregular. you will need ear plugs, there are restaurants with live amplified outdoor music just below the room, windows are not double glazed.

The balcony is excellent, sitting there is such a lovely holiday experience. The views were exceptional. The location is brilliant

These very cute old traditional buildings have very tiny rooms. If you don't have a balcony, you won't have any space to chill out. The piccies show mirrored walls, so don't be confused about room size. The rooms are clean. The beds weren't turned down every day, though, which was a bit annoying. I did say my towels didn't need replacing, maybe that was misinterpreted as meaning not to bother at all

The location is superb, in the middle of everything. The view is unbeatable. Self check in was easy (came late in the evening), stuff was very nice in the following days. The building and rooms are fully renovated, bright and nicely decorated. I am staying here again next time :)

If you are a light sleeper don't forget to bring your earplugs for sleeping because the riverfront street is very noisy and although your windows are closed you'll still hear a lot of noise. You also hear everything from the stairs and room above you, but since the building is renovated in the old way as preservation rules go, there is not much that can be done. The rooms are very tiny, with no table/space to work.

Location and view were amazing! Valeria took care of all details for our arrival. She is fantastic!

As other guests have noted, there is room noise from the river walk at this location. This was expected and ended by 11pm. Unfortunately, the guests upstairs from our room were very loud late at night.

I really loved the location. Near the train station. Walking distance for all the attractions in old Town Porto. The suites were kept very clean with housekeeping every day. The Manager, Andreia, was so very nice and helpful and was very competent and efficient. There is also a great eating area with a coffee machine and tea. A toaster is also there and cold drinking water.

There were lots of stairs to get to the top suite but also good exercise!
