The property itself was fantastic. Great location and a lovely view. The kitchen and furnishings were nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had everything I needed..

We arrived precisely at the check-in time of 16:00 when they said they would provide a building entrance code, as well as, a code for the lock box at the unit door which would have a key. I informed them we were at the building multiple times thru the messaging on Booking.com. I continued trying to message them to get the codes. Finally, I had to call them. I didn’t have an international cell phone plan so the phone call ended up costing me $10.00. I got a hold of someone and they finally provided the codes to me. We were outside the unit for over 1/2 hour waiting for some kind of communication. Over a 1/2 hour after the published checkin time, we received the codes. I’d hate to think if it had been raining. Not very good communication on the host’s part.

We loved the location (just a few streets off the main tourist area) with superb riverside and Dom Luis bridge views. We enjoyed walking everywhere (steep in places), so we could appreciate the old cobbled streets with their colourful architecture and also found restaurants and pastry shops frequented by the locals. The apartment provided us with everything that we needed and it was even better when we found out that it had a 'no smoking' policy (not as advertised). The taxi service from the airport (arranged by Oporto Home) made our transfer to our apartment very easy. Good public transport - organised our own trips to Pinhao and Aveiro

the situation is perfect overlooking the river and very close to restaurants and all tourist activities

the description of how to find the apartment is misleading. it is not accessible by car. the taxi will deposit you by McDonald’s. then walk down the ramp towards the river. take the path in front of the first building. no 152 can then be found.

We loved the location and the modern reuse of the wonderful old building. The water in the shower was hot, and it was convenient to have a well-equipped kitchen and dining space.

The registration process was difficult, to get all 4 people in our group entered with passport info, etc. And it was frustrating that we got messages saying that we couldn’t get the access code to the property without completing it, when we had tried multiple times to comply. Also there were no towels in our Silver room upon arrival so we had to contact the host. The Green room needed more toilet paper. The sofa was pretty uncomfortable in the Silver room.

Location is perfect. Apartment was clean and spacious. Quiet considering the location. Had a great time!

Not sure if we would have had an option to take one with a balcony overlooking the river and paying more as that would have made it even better. 2 towels for a week for 2 people is a bit low. Luckily we brought a couple of our own. Also a few other things like cutlery could have had more. A few easy to fix niggle things such as the balcony door mechanism, leaking shower head, socket not working. A few negatives but otherwise great.

It was very easy to find keys and gain access into the apartment. Location of the apartment was perfect. Right on the river, beautiful view, lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. It was very clean and had the basics. The balcony was gorgeous with doors opening straight out over the river. Very nice big screen TV with lots of channels. Internet worked well.

We had a bit of a hard time finding the building the apartment was in but did finally find it. Taxi couldn't take us right to the building so had to carry suitcases and bags down some very uneven surfaces to get to the apartment. The apartment is very basic. Could be decorated to be more homey with simple things like throw rugs and pictures on the walls. Also no toiletries provided except one bottle of body wash that also had to be used for hand soap as there was none. Only 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels provided and 2 very small rolls of toilet paper for 4 day stay. We had to go buy more. These are very minor issues that could be easily fixed.

The river facing apartment is very beautiful and the location right on the river is perfect. In fact the apartment is featured in the most iconic touristic pictures of Douro river! The large windows all around provide ample light and great views. The apartment is very nicely equipped. Overall this is a magic place!

Communication with the company that runs the apartment left us with mixed feelings. On one hand they were responding to our messages pretty quickly but on the other hand no one would pick up the phone (there is an automated welcome message) whenever we called. This led to very lengthy discussions in texts that rarely solved issues. There were no toiletries provided. After another lengthy communication they promised to look into this but they never provided any in the end. Parking in the area can be a nightmare. The nearby open air municipal parking is the best option as it has 40 spaces for 72 hours for 20 EUR (with in and out privileges) but these sell out fast.

The place is great. Had a side view on the river, as advertised. The area is very touristic, but quiet at night. Nice riverside restaurant in the same building, and places worth exploring in every direction. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious. Some utilities (e.g. clothes iron, blender) could use fixing/replacing and the drain was getting clogged very quickly during showers, but these were very minor inconveniences compared to all the upsides.

This property is located in the best part of Porto in front of the Douro River --very beautiful and scenic. It is close to the different hubs of public transportation, restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. The beds were comfortable and you can control the temperatures in the rooms easily.

Need instructions in operating some of the new appliances. The front entrance is located right next to a restaurant which makes it awkward in entering and leaving the premises when customers are sitting right near the building entrance

The location of the hotel was incredible. You open the front door and are instantly greeted by the Douro. We liked the layout of the apartment - a good kitchenette, living room, bathroom, and bedroom. There was no staff to meet on-site, but the hotel was great at communicating important information through Booking.com without us having to reach out with any questions. Will definitely book this again!

The room has issues with humidity. Clothing feels damp, even when hung in the closet. The bathroom tiles and the ceilings of the hotel room show damage from humidity and moisture.
