This small hotel is in a former convent and has it all: the modern amenities of a hotel with the historic features of stone walls. From the moment we walked in the friendly staff greeted us, helped with questions, and walked us to our rooms. We loved the breakfast in the morning-it had so much to offer and met our needs and then some. Our view out the window was lovely St Francis Cathedral and when we stepped out the door we were right on the Douro River bank. We could visit all the major sights within a 15 minute walk, and were able to use the tram line and Uber from the street out front. Lots of places to shop and eat were a short walk from the hotel and the airport only about 20 minutes away. Our only disappointment was that we were only there for one night. I would have loved to have stayed longer!

Breakfast was great. The variety and quality of food provided ensured that every breakfast was extremely satisfying. The location of this hotel (right on the Douro River, next to the St Francis Cathedral) was perfect. It worked beautifully for both the Porto city activities as well as those taking place on the other side of the river in Gaia. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful. We could not have been happier with our choice of accommodation in this fabulous Portuguese city.

The hotel is small and friendly in an historic building which has been tastefully modernised but retains its character. The staff were all really friendly and helpful especially front of house Luiz. He arranged a river boat trip and transport to the airport for us a group of 8. The rooms are well appointed with comfy bed, fridge with mini bar and a safe. A bottle of water was supplied daily. The location is right by the riverfront tram terminal and tour buses are 2 minutes away. There is also a taxi rank opposite the hotel and the river front walk with shops and restaurants starts there too.

Top location if one appreciates a river view and an immediate proximity to Ribeira riverside and the historic tram route, and doesn't mind a short upward stroll to almost all other main sights. Nice spacious room with a classic minimalistic design. Very good soundproofing of the window frames. Sumptuous breakfast and afternoon cake option. Amicable and helping personnel. Many thanks for the take-away breakfasts as I had to leave early 2 days in a row.

The pillows with a syntetic filling were too flat and too spongy for my liking. I'd recommend to vacume clean the floors a bit more often and wipe off the dust form the open wardrobe shelves. The minifridge seemed to produce no cold, though my blueberries nevertheless survived one day with no issue.

Upscale hotel in an excellent location for visiting Porto. Very near the Douro River with lots of food/bar options. Near many attractions and on the Portuguese Camino trail. I had a front view room with balcony on second floor with beautiful views of the river and city lights at night. Snacks and Port wine offered on arrival. The breakfast room and offerings were nicely varied. The room/beds comfortable.

There was not anything to dislike but for those who have trouble walking, this hotel is located at the bottom of the hill and there is a lot of uphill walking.

The location is very good. The room was big and I liked the hotel style and the availability of tea/ coffee in the afternoon/ evenings. Water provided in the room. Happy there were slippers too

The bathroom fan was very noisy so I didn’t sleep well. The bathroom is in the room separated by glass doors so even with the door closed it was noisy. The shower was mouldy inside and outside. The safe wasn’t reset so it didn’t work until we got the key to reset it. Wi-Fi was poor in our room. The air cond in the corridor was too high. I read in the reviews that guests were welcomed with a glass of porto on their arrival but it didn’t happen to us. Overall I am not sure it is really a 4 star hote

Superb location for exploring Porto. Very large and comfortable room with a nice view of the river. Very helpful staff team - early breakfast on our last day was great, thank you!

Some suggestions for improvement only: given how large our room was, how about something to hang clothes that is long enough for a shirt or dress - adding more furniture would not use up much space? Also, two suitcase stands would be useful and again, there is plenty of room for this?

We had the best stay at this cute little hotel in the heart of Porto! From the moment we arrived, Luiz at the front desk was awesome. He was super friendly and even upgrade us to a room with river view! The hotel itself is small but so cozy and welcoming. They offer free coffee and tea, plus some delicious cakes and cookies to snack on. And on New Year's Eve, they even treated everyone with sparkling wine—such a nice touch! The location is perfect for exploring Porto, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during these couple of days. Great vibes, great service, and little extras that made the stay feel extra special. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in Porto!

Great little boutique hotel in Porto - very friendly staff and nice personal touches throughout the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room. Location is really good too - right by the river (walking distance). We were also able to walk pretty much anywhere by the river/bridge/central Porto.

One thing to keep in mind, not a deal breaker, is that there are stairs/a cobblestone ramp to get up to the hotel. Use the ramp if you have big luggage! Also, it's down a pedestrian-only alley so trust Google Maps/Uber for the drop-off point and then walk a bit (1-2 minutes) to the hotel. We had 2 large luggages and this didn't deter us, but it's just helpful to know!

All was great, breakfast and the afternoon coffee and tea were a delight. Very close to city center and attractions.

I previously contacted the hotel for a parking recommendation. Of the two recommended facilities, I chose the closest recommended parking on Google Maps, Saba, under the market square. I arrived on Tuesday evening and on Thursday morning was surprised with a 102€ parking bill for two nights of parking! I highly recommend the hotel but would have appreciated a parking tip for a more economical option.
