Great location (got a coffee to go each morning from the breakfast room and walked along the water before returning to have breakfast), very friendly but little bit shy staff and the room was light& airy and very large, with a double set of windows opening onto the street. And yes, this comes with all the street- and traffic sounds of Porto below (it is a very busy road), but this is something I actually quite enjoy, it gives a great sense of being away from home. So if you like it very quiet better ask for a room away from the street ;-)

If I have to name something: the bed was a little bit too hard for me personally and the showerdoor leaked, so much so the bath mat got thoroughly soaked everytime I showered.

The property location was fabulous for exploring Porto, all the staff were really friendly and very helpful and obliging, we had complimentary pastel de nata and port . The hotel was clean and tidy and we loved it . The rooms were clean and tidy with everything we needed . Breakfast was also great and on one of our days the hotel offered us a pack up as we had an early start. The only negative was the room we stayed in was at the front of the hotel and was on the main road so a little noisy at times, so if you prefer it quiet room you can request this . We could have changed rooms but weren’t that bothered. Gabrielle who was on reception was extremely helpful and so lovely and knowledgeable with anything we asked . Overall a great stay at this hotel I would certainly recommend it.

The hotel itself is in a fantastic location just a short distance away from the river, many attractions and restaurants. We found it convenient to take public transport when we needed to travel further. The room was the perfect size for a couple. It was clean and with all the necessary amenities. They did warn us about some street noise, which we actually didn't find it to be an issue. But if you are a light sleeper, I'd recommend you request a room away from the road or on a higher level. The staff is what makes this place special, in my opinion. Every single one of them was incredibly welcoming and helpful. It was my nephew's birthday during our stay, and they made him some brownies with a candle and left it in their room. It was such a cute touch!

Ambience Boutque Urban. Location 2 mins from Quayside. Lots of restaurants and Bars nearby. Great staff. Very comfotable beds. Great Shower. Interesting shaped rooms. Fantastic breakfast food. Nice lounge reception area for a drink. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Taxi rank right outside the entrance!

Everything was good. Althiugh I wasnt given the option of paying cash for the Tourist Tax and insread it was put onto my bank card which they wanted as security. So COST ME a nasty currency transaction fee, when I was loaded with Euros !!!! Please ask customers about payment preference first!!!

The welcoming and helpful staff. The location, close to the waterfront....lots of activities there. Restaurants galore. Breakfast was very adequate with a wide selection. Spacious dining area and nice well decorated lounge.

Nothing really. Perhaps, a comment... the very busy street of the location made it a tad inconvenient for our tour pick up, and Uber usage was a little difficult. We had to meet at the Bolsa Palace (3 minutes walk away) for the former, and we missed 2 Uber pick ups for the latter. That said, there is a taxi stand right in front of the entrance.

The location The house is really clean. The receptionist who was at the counter at our arrival was fantastic. He gave some great advices. Way more than what we expected. As well I would like to mention the reception team from Tuesday 20 August in the evening. :-)

If you stay in a room towards the street you have to deal with the noise. In contrast to very good experiences, some of the staff members seem to get really tired of tourists. When we left the hotel, no one even asked about if we were happy with our stay. However, a half of an hour later an e-mail arrived asking this question. ;-)

nice room, good bed , good shower. plenty of hot water, staff where friendly professional and helpful , with tips where to go for food drinks and things to do in porto, i had a lovely 5 days there and when the weather was a little disappointing a drink and a chat at the reception // bar with the delightful young brazillian lady always made it feel a little sunnier. One of the handy things was that breakfast was from 7.30 till 12.00 so a late breakfast was always possible

The Editory House in Porto is perfectly positioned for the visitor. Down near the river where all the night action is but is also a short climb to the cathedral and old town centre. The welcome we received when we arrived was exceptional and Giovanna (I hope you have her as your introduction) was wonderfull and organised us expertly. The hotel offered tea, coffee and port on arrival tourist information of what to see and clear directions. This hotel made our Porto stay fabulous.

The location was excellent near to the old harbour , restaurants etc, the room was spacious and clean and breakfast was good The staff on reception were very courteous and helpful Breakfast although an additional cost was good

The hotel is on a very busy road with much traffic and street noise and unfortunately the soundproofing is totally inadequate which doesn’t make for a relaxing stay and is disappointing of a 4 star hotel Other similar hotels we stayed in were much better
