excellent sized rooms that were well appointed, great location and very helpful staff

not a vast breakfast offering but everything was very very good quality, you have to ask for eggs/bacon/ cooked items, which they will do but we're not offered initially to us and there was nothing on the table in terms of menu offerings or we would have known, bathroom was very much on the small size though the room was vast

Breakfast was good. The selection was a bit limited but it was very good I also very much liked the staff. They couldn't have been more helpful. Just one example - we left early one morning for an all day tour. They were able to provide us with a bagged lunch so that we could travel throughout the Duoro Valley without having to spend time looking for a place to eat.

We had one of the rooms on the top floor. We had asked for a queen/king size bed because my husband is 6'4". The room was very large but the different angles of the ceiling made it easy to hit your head.

Great location and very quiet in the rooms despite being near a busy road. Rooms were a great size, and there was everything I needed. It was unseasonably hot, and they wouldn't put the air con on in my room, so I was a little warm at night. I didn't want to open my window because of the noise outside. Also, one day, they made my bed but didn't change my towels. I know some hotels do this to be ECO, but there were no instructions to say, "we'll only change if you leave on floor," etc. The bed was very high, so a struggle if you're vertically challenged like me, also a bit creaky. Breakfast was good but only continental included. If you wish for cooked items, they cost extra. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff was excellent and accommodating. Great location BUT noisy at night if room has great view facing river. Clean rooms but very small bathroom no storage space in the bathroom or room no closet. Toiletries were meager

Our room was very nice. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom with an extra large shower. Nice view of the river. Comfortable temperature in the room. Check in was quick and easy. Breakfast buffet, included in the price, was really good with lots of options. Staff was very friendly and worked hard to make sure everything was good. Location was very convenient.

We liked everything.

The staff are exceptional in every way and they made our stay comfortable and pleasant. It is a small boutique hotel built within the castle walls so it has tremendous charm and style. It is a lovely location, walking distance to all the historical sites. Porto is a delightful vibrant place and it’s easy to navigate yourself around the old beautiful city on the river. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I loved it there. Special thanks to all the wonderful friendly and warm hearted staff who helped us enjoy our trip. Thank you especially to Carol, Tania, Matheus, Nidia, and Theresa, a lovely personable charming and darling group of young people who made us feel so very welcome .

That I could not stay longer!

The property is in a very good location - seconds from the water. It’s also in a very busy location. If you have problems sleeping with noise bring ear plugs. They offer a wonderful breakfast - we took advantage everyday. Our bed was big and very comfortable.

We had a few issues with the air conditioner - it was either really cold or hot. We kept it very cold for comfort.

The location is superb, the beds, the size of the room, the amenities, the breakfast and the staff always very helpful and kind specially Benedita, who was always taking care of us

The rooms we stayed in face the street and even though the windows are doble sealed, you can still hear the noises on the street, but it isn’t that bad

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in March 2024. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, the room and decor throughout the hotel were modern and clean (ours had a lovely view of the park opposite), the bed was large and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and varied. The hotel is also in an absolutely perfect location close to the river and near to lots of bars and restaurants. We couldn't fault it, and can't wait to stay again next time we're in Porto!
