If you’re walking the Camino and hoping for a spark of that pilgrim magic, keep moving. This is a hotel, not a haven. The bed’s comfortable, the bathroom’s clean—though the shower feels like stepping into a phone booth built for ghosts. The staff wear politeness like a uniform—efficient but distant, like they’ve never had blisters or a bad cup of coffee. Wifi? You’re better off whispering your emails to the wind. No communal energy here, no shared bottle of wine or clatter of pasta pans. But hey, the location’s central and the streets hum with local musicians. If you’re after rest, not soul, this place does the trick. Just don’t expect it to remember your name.

Location was superb, in the very center, right on the bank of the river, with exquisite views from the windows. Room was a little bit on a small side, but sufficient, and quite inexpensive, considering location. Staff was very nice and friendly. Plenty of great restaurants around, including absolutely amazing Fado place Mal Cozinhado - just 300 m from the hotel along the river.

The room was a bit too dark in the evenings - should install brighter lights. We tried breakfast just once - it was sufficient, but not great, so we preferred to eat outside.

The location was amazing. My room was incredibly fabulous with the view. Really wonderful location for getting around. Delicious breakfast or in my case lots of great coffee.

My only issue was finding the office where they checked us in because the address wasn’t well pronounced on the outside of the building. Or I’m an idiot.

The room was a little small and would have benefitted from having tea making facilities in the room. I would not have described it as a superior twin.

Perfect location. Very fun upbeat vibe right outside hotel and steps from the river and restaurants & cafes while having a great night slleep in a comfy bed. Right in the historic area. If you go I recommend doing a 2 hour tuk tuk orientation tour of Porto. I booked with tour operators just up and across the street and drivers name was Marco. My husband and I got fantastic massages just up the street on same side of hotel with Gemm, Front desk very helpful. They arranged transportation to airport. I highly recommend getting room with a balcony. Great value for location.

If visiting Porto this hotel is well located, right on the quayside and close to many of the tourist attractions. The initial welcome was very good, the hotel is clean and comfortable and the 24/7 tea and coffee facility is great. Only two downsides at this hotel - one is the lack of any communal relaxation area, the other is that the breakfast service seems unable to cope, even at times when the breakfast isn’t particularly busy. More staff are needed to clear tables and keep the breakfast bar stocked. The staff do what they can and are friendly but at times there were no cleared tables and the bar was missing several items. Otherwise, this is a very good hotel.

Fabulous hotel in superb location close enough to all the attractions Porto has to offer. Right next to the riverfront and our room had a great view too. Breakfast was really good and always topped up no matter what time you got there. Value for money for a riverfront hotel was excellent. Just one fly in the ointment being the pavement musician who played to the crowds every night (apart from the rainy one). However he did seem to stop at midnight, so it didn't affect our sleep! Also, be aware that the hotel is in a prime tourist visiting area, therefore there are restaurants and boat trip meeting points right outside, so it will be noisy whilst the boat trips are running and in the evenings. All that being said, I would still highly recommend this great little hotel.

This is a boutique hotel overlooking the Douro River and its surrounding vineyards, made better by your private balcony to enjoy the scenery. Didn't take the time to use it, but the pool area was outstanding. Breakfast was perfect with a wonderful selection in a beautiful setting. Staff was friendly and engaging, curious about your days experience so they could make recommendations to future guests. Would stay again, so grab a room if available.

Great location in the historic centre, our room had a view of the D. Luís bridge and the river. The square is noisy with music playing until late in the evening and people eating and chatting but we liked that. The beds and pillows are really comfy and we slept well. The breakfast room was very pleasant and the food was quality with freshly prepared oranges and melon. The staff were friendly and helpful. They found us somewhere safe to store our bikes when we had to collect them a day earlier than anticipated for our bike tour down Eurovelo route 1 to Lisbon.

Their was a fantastic view of the Luiz I bridge from our hotel room. It was a short walk to the city center, but it was a little less chaotic than other parts of the city (although we could hear live music in the square every day, but it ended pretty early and was never loud enough to be an annoyance). If you are a walker and don't have a car to worry about, this hotel is awesome.

We could have used more details on how to access the hotel--it is in a car-free area, but our communications were not that helpful in figuring out how to drop off my husband's parents close to the hotel, or where to park. Private cars are not permitted on the Luiz I bridge, so keep that in mind when you're planning your trip.
